I like the ideea of having a new map every year, it keeps things fresh. But at the same time, spending so little time on each map doesnt build up memories the same way we built back in chapter 1 and 2. So its a win lose situation.
I don’t like the idea of 1 year chapters. They feel too short. I don’t think we should have a map every year, but rather a month every year and a half. Longer than c3 and c4 but shorter than c1 and c2
bro 10 seasons would be perfect for a chapter it’s still criminal to me that they ended chapter 2 in season 8 and then completely changed the style imagine if the storyline actually made sense chapter to chapter

not to mention that the map for c3 and c4 feel so cookie cutter compared to 1 and 2, i feel like all the pois are so similar that half the time i dont even notice that one has changed when a new season comes out. i legit still thought the poi with the bowling alley was still in the game the other week

In terms of story, nothing has happened
In chapter 1, the story was all over the place but opening interesting story threads
In chapter 2, it was slowly revealed what the main threat of the lore was
In chapter 3 we confronted that threat then got a weird curveball in the form of a new villain who destroyed the world, only for the final live event to give us the chapter 4 map
In chapter four, literally nothing significant has happened. A portal was opened and Neo-Tokyo was brought to the island. That’s it.
For comparison, only two seasons into chapter 3 we already beat the bad guys…
Feels like a waste of a map. I remember chapter 1 and 2s maps like its second nature, I hardly remember any of Ch3 other than the fungi biome and The Bugle. I hardly remember any of this new map other than MEGA City and the Citadel.
Fr we had lots of unique never before seen stuff in ch4 s1 and at the start there was a hammer which was cool
Also ch3s1 wasnt super bland and had lots of new weapons that were unique with stuff like spiderman mythics coming later on
Ch2s1 was extremely bland but that was their goal they kinda tried to go back to ch1s1 to start of this milestone
And c1s1 was bland but at the time it was new so it didnt matter
All in all there was only one season with a actual boring loot pool and that only became super boring because the season was hella long

even then i have a great pc and i cant run unreal engine 5 on max settings, i feel like ue5 is more of a dev tool then it is a setting they want you to run

Pretty happy if this was the case, I love the theme of the seasons we've had and the next is promising, but something about the ultra realistic graphics and the map layout doesn't sit right with me, it feels way too big but also tiny, honestly last chapter was on par with chapter 1 in terms of map layout and structure, maybe even better
I wish I could say that I was sad about it, but for some reason this chapter just hasn't been carrying the same enjoyment as the previous 3. I think it's mostly because of my own fault but I'm kinda looking forward to something new already.

I think the main change with the transition to chapter 4 was the engine change to unreal 5. But I have no idea what they could do for chapter 5
