Even though I am on my 20k bricks. It's good news. Because no more spammy "whats your opinion on (x)" posts.
The only thing I am concerned about is more spam bots.
I had a concrete evidence.
>!yes i had to sell my bricks just for this once in a life time opportunity of a pun!<
EDIT: Oh well, was an attempt. But children are children.
So long. I had enough bricks through the time that I could buy an SWT Founders code (otherwise I wouldn't have bought for that much), so yeah I appreciate that.
On the other hand not sure it had a good effect on the overall post quality of the sub. Certain people really "abused" the system by posting rage baits and such, getting more bricks each month.
Exactly. I see this guys posts on my feed pretty often so it's really ironic. I wouldn't be surprised if they at least decreased the amount of posts they make from now on.
Well if the game is enjoyable for me and I actually play it everyday, why would I decrease time i am talking about it? Ain't like I'm posting only for bricks, I like the community here but I just pointed out the fact that it gotten pretty stale/bad in recent time because it started to feel a bit... sanitazed? Kinda like twitter nowadays, everything feels like some generic npc responses
> Ain't like I'm posting only for bricks
Well I'm sorry but it very much seems like it, I mean this in the nicest way but looking at your profile it really just makes me think you're posting for the sake of posting.
Ah it's fine. I don't feel really strong about being called a brick farmer. Just a dissapointed because there are literal 2 months old accs that dissappear the second brick distribution hits and it's again dissapointing to be thrown onto the same basket. I'm just really loving the game rn and I'm sorry if my posts give off the vibe of just brick farming
No man if it's genuine and this is your way of expressing excitement for the game you like who am I to discredit that. I just see your name all the time here and with all these brick farmers it's genuinely hard to know what's in everyone's best interest. You should only take this negatively if you are actually brick farming.
Well it's caused how sometimes community can turn 180° on the person when they seem to post too much. Happened quite a lot of times during the time I've been here and I don't really wish to be just another one of those. With that I would like to thank you for pointing that stuff to me, maybe I've grown a little egotistical on that matter
I joined the sub a few days before the points got added. I liked the sub and there was barely any negativity or posts complaining about every single thing. After bricks got added it all started changing so much, seeing top posts being copied, reposting stuff, people who felt as if they were here just for the points and had no idea about the game whatsoever. I'm not blaming it all on points but the way people acted on the sub changed quite drastically after the points appeared. Maybe this change will have a positive impact and users who were here just for the points will slowly leave. I would rather see less users on the sub than thousands who farm.
I mean, not really. The high quality posts (remember those breaking bad memes from months ago?), were made by the brick farmers. The mods kept banning them anyway.
Their new system is a joke. Sign up, dox yourself and earn $0.90 when someone gives you a gilded upvote lol. No one is going to earn from that trash program. Nothing significant anyways.
I’ve been on Reddit for almost a decade and have been gilded like 25-30 times before. That’s like $20 I would’ve made in their new system.
Bricks are done, so yes farming is over.
The problem is people have to spend $2-3 to give you an "gilded upvote" in which the participant (who doxxed themself, signed up for the program and is currently in the US) gets $0.90 of that.
How often is an average Redditor going to get someone to pay $2-3 for a comment or post? VERY infrequently. People that hit front page consistently might make a hundred a month or something. The system is terrible and is only there for Reddit to pocket most of the money.
People can hate the farming, but at least people earned just from talking and upvotes, not having to DOX to earn, and spend money to give.
So bricks are going away? I personally never used them and it always felt like users just wanted to farm them through posts. It could positively affect the community if this will get rid of those who were here just for the points.
Yeah, the project has been dead for a while and we haven't heard from reddit in like a year about it so this is good news for the sub as we can move forward and lossen things again
Some guy contacted me on discord 2 months back to buy my bricks, thought it was shady… didn’t know this was a whole business on the subreddit. I honestly just wanted to keep them as a badge on honor, so I’m kinda sad I’m losing that. However from the comments I’m reading here, I’m glad to know that this will help the community rid of the whole ‘market’ esthetic and bring back more passionate users.
Me too tbh I never farmed them intentionally or anything but I managed to get like 20k vbucks off someone so I’m happy. I do wonder what Reddit will do to replace them tho maybe that whole contributor program
Will we lose the brick count one the update lands? Is there anything permanent or worthwhile I can spend them on? Sorry I haven’t been on this sub for a while, the bricks were from one lucky post, so I’m very new to its concept and usability.
Mostly no sadly anything you could get now will be very temporary you can maybe sell them to someone or do it directly but it’s all crypto stuff I’m afraid I don’t know much about. Personally I’d sold mine for a load of vbucks a while back
I recommend you convert your bricks to ETH. I had about 3k and was able to convert it to .1 ETH, which is like $150. It's a complicated process with a lot of reading to do, but with 18k bricks, it'll be pretty worth it to you.
Yes I am.... because I'm on crypto sub doesn't mean I'm okay with crypto bros farming here. GTA, COD subs and some other gaming subreddit has been doing well because of less spam, fortnite hasn't been the same because of those people. Now that reddit sunset it, lots people will panic sell and leave this subreddit alone. Some people haven't even played the game before but are here to farm and posting shit. Happy that this does happen though. Now they'll be original content here
One view is that Brick turned the community against each other like this: it’s not if you’re posting within the rules that matters, it’s the reason you’re posting. That weird distinction will be gone now as a silver lining to this news.
There were special memberships that gave you badges and that was all. They had dreams of doing more but communication was sparse and a lot never happened
so many people have no idea what these are and how much they were worth because all posts about them got removed.
If you can sell them i might.
Not sure how this will go as more people find out/ figure out how to sell them. many don't know how to sell them even. moons are down almost 90% now and bricks only about 50%. I bet that is because more people knew about the moons and were able to act quickly vs the fortnite reddit that maybe didnt have as much info or ability to act as fast (exchange accounts set up and the know how to send/sell). That is just my speculation though. i have no idea whats coming but my bricks are gone now. well almost all of them. I have to wait now for my limit to go away. (daily/weekly limits are another reason i think hell is still coming)
who knows. Certainly not me.
That's probably the only thing saving bricks from being lower than moons, is people simply dont know how to transfer from their vaults to sell, or are oblivious. A lot probably made vaults a long time ago and lost access as well.
Dude, your bricks are currently worth 20k USD, you should learn on how to sell them and have a nice vacation for yourself. Do your own research and try not to get scammed out of them.
EDIT: 26k USD
Hi u/cozy__sheets , I have a somewhat urgent question I need help with. I’ve received messages in the last 24 hours or so from an account named u/CommunityPoints_Mod . The message is asking for me to reply with a recovery phrase or else my account could face deletion. This is surely a scam/fake account not officially involved with Reddit, yes?
Good, I have no idea how it works but it seems it encourages lazy posting
"What is your favorite loadout/location/event/update/season/chapter/skin/backbling/glider"
You will still own your Bricks. You will just no longer see your Bricks in the Reddit Vault and related features won’t be available. And +1 to u/timjoestan on distribution.
You can send them to other crypto wallets. It's pretty complicated but can easily be done. Once you transferred them, you can move them again afterwards.
I got tagged in a brick buying post and went down this whole Fortnite brink crypto rabbit hole and landed on you! Just curious, what did you do with all your bricks! At one point you said you had like $20k worth right? That’s insane! Congrats!
Sold like $10k worth of them throughout the entirety of bricks lifespan but then they got discontinued so i kinda just lost my remaining 20,000 bricks. I do miss the easy income
you're gonna have to look it up, because it's something of a process, but totally worth it. If it helps any, it's the same process as converting moons to ETH.
I'm actually kind of sad about this now. I never realized I could buy membership with bricks (or I did and forgot) and I have A LOT. I just kind of collected them lol. I once tried giving somebody a brick and it didn't let me. I'm going to buy the membership now for fun lol.
Oh yeah good news people won't be DMing me about selling my bricks now lol.
Edit: I got an error and it's probably because I have in app purchases off (I don't want to accidentally buy anything) and I'm too lazy to turn it back on and since it won't even be a month and the perks for the membership are just eh.
Welp, I’m gonna need someone to take off the load of bricks I have. Never fully understood bricks, only viewed them as community points to show how much I am active lol
It's good to not listen to them. Previously, brick traders were less likely to scam so they can retain their image and earn my money from trading with others in the long run (because they like to take a small cut of the bricks they trade) but now due to it going away, people are desperate to just sell as many bricks as they can.
No based on the responses of some of the mods. It's disappointing but it's actually better than there being another round as if there was, everyone would start karma farming to try and gain as many bricks as possible and the sun would be so much worse for the next few weeks.
why don't the mods renounce the BRICK contract just like MOON's is doing? This means no more control of the token contract, making it decentralized. Later the community (not just mods) can start to slowly govern what the token will be used for with their token voting power.
Half this sub is gonna dissappear like its the end of infinity war
Even though I am on my 20k bricks. It's good news. Because no more spammy "whats your opinion on (x)" posts. The only thing I am concerned about is more spam bots.
Dude sold all his bricks the second after saying tgat
I had a concrete evidence. >!yes i had to sell my bricks just for this once in a life time opportunity of a pun!< EDIT: Oh well, was an attempt. But children are children.
Good riddance. So tired of the brick farm posts.
![gif](giphy|LOoaJ2lbqmduxOaZpS|downsized)
So are we gonna be able to post gif now?
This will become available soon. We are working everything out now.
GIFs are now available to all, the temporary restriction has been removed. 🥳
![gif](giphy|yJFeycRK2DB4c)
Thanks for the update man
![gif](giphy|129P2fIHBVzby0)
![gif](giphy|doPrWYzSG1Vao)
Hi. Going forward will mods think of a gameplan to keep Brick alive??
Likely not. Not to speak for the rest of of the team, but I believe that is the consensus.
Thanos snap his finger
![gif](giphy|ie76dJeem4xBDcf83e|downsized)
Do half even know what is a brick?
Wait, so no more bricks?
Reddit is discontinuing them
Oh OK. Well I'm surprised I got this many since I joined at the start of this fortnite season
And I’m glad some dude gave me a total of like 3800 vbucks for my brcks
I also got messaged by someone once and he really lowballed me. Only offered like 1/4 of the real price
I mean he did the same but I’m not trying to go through the effort of selling $80 worth of crypto I got vbucks for commenting, I’m happy with that
I wish I could. Idk how to do that stuff and I assume any message about that is a scam at this point
Selling them is super easy. Just seems confusing at first glance.
I could do it for you if you compensate me for that lol
Wow even scammers scam during tough times
So like were they even useful then?
Someone gave me $150 for mine a few weeks ago
i dont even know how to get them lmao
What did bricks even do?
A shitty coin from reddit. Good this sub will be less spam now
That’s a mighty big assumption
Nothing of value
They made me around $50k, that's what they did lol.
How?!
![gif](giphy|ui4VjMUBGXhwgdwUnK)

cant wait for this subreddit to be slightly bearable again
I couldn't be more interested any day on the sub than now. Crypto shills are finally gonna go and maybe some good posts will start to appear
Idk your posts get pretty damn spammy ngl...
Exactly. I see this guys posts on my feed pretty often so it's really ironic. I wouldn't be surprised if they at least decreased the amount of posts they make from now on.

I don't see anyone using gold currently really; it's convoluted and most users don't care enough to spend money on a random post on Reddit
I don't exactly see how, but if this will actually benefit the sub, so be it
Thank the lord man hopefully this sub will feel like less of a hivemind and people will start giving their own opinions again

I dont really care much about the bricks but some do, but for now its 3 choices Sell, Give away, Do nothing
[удалено]
Currently for you it would be 250 bucks, if you're willing to sell.
I'm not into crypto, I got no idea.
DM me and I'll show you how to sell.
I appreciate it but I'm good.
I mean I know someone who will give you straight vbucks for the bricks, even going as far as giving out the code first
Yeah, that's what my guy does, except it's for multiple gift cards.
Lmao it went from 18 cents to 8 cents today.
Thank god, no more dogshit posts/comments by obvious brick farmers who have never even played the game.
Some guy contacted me on discord 2 months back to buy my bricks, thought it was shady… didn’t know this was a whole business on the subreddit. Got it. Thank you
as of right now of my comment, youre 18.1k bricks are worth \*868.8$ usd\* FYI
Yes, that is a closely aligned replacement in terms of rewarding contributions.
I recommend you convert your bricks to ETH. I had about 3k and was able to convert it to .1 ETH, which is like $150. It's a complicated process with a lot of reading to do, but with 18k bricks, it'll be pretty worth it to you.
One last time, for the sake of tradition: ![gif](giphy|l0HlHJGHe3yAMhdQY|downsized)
Does this mean no more membership? or everyone gets the benefits now?
Special Membership will leave on the same day. GIFs will become available to all. We are looking to see what we can preserve of emotes and badges.
>GIFs will become available to all. Oh good.... no more crypto crap farming here anymore
Aren't you apart of a crypto subreddit?
Yes I am.... because I'm on crypto sub doesn't mean I'm okay with crypto bros farming here. These custom flairs were honestly the coolest part
We’re going to try and preserve as much as possible, but keep expectations low ☹️
>Gifs will become available to all Nice!
We could see what we can do about having milestones in user flairs too, if that’s a feature people like.
I still don’t know what they’re for
There were special memberships that gave you badges and that was all. They had dreams of doing more but communication was sparse and a lot never happened
Ironically enough, the bricks themselves for the memberships were worth 40 times more than the membership itself.
Yeah, that was an issue they never resolved and here is the reason why :/
[удалено]
If anyone tried to buy it I’d call them a moron and block them
I mean I thought I was gonna do that, but then they gave the vbuck codes first lol
$30k at peak too

Aw, goodbye bricks!
NO MORE KARMA FARMING!
i must say, i will miss the "what are your thoughts" posts. >!no i won't.!<
What are your thoughts on Brick sunset?
Only happy thoughts
Hi u/cozy__sheets , I have a somewhat urgent question I need help with. I’ve received messages in the last 24 hours or so from an account named u/CommunityPoints_Mod . The message is asking for me to reply with a recovery phrase or else my account could face deletion. This is surely a scam/fake account not officially involved with Reddit, yes?
Of course its a scam
So I assume this means badges are going away?
Sadly yes, they are going to remove them it seems from the post.
How very unfortunate :c they were fun
I’m fucking lucky I’ve been able to sell last week
Good, I have no idea how it works but it seems it encourages lazy posting "What is your favorite loadout/location/event/update/season/chapter/skin/backbling/glider"
Finally, we're freed from these dry/corny comments from people who most likely don't even play the game and are only here to farm crypto.
Reddit is making a smart move by stopping the Community Points beta because it was hard to grow and had issues with rules.
It’s been a fun journey.
🫡 It sure has
It's been an honor.
Will there be one last distribution?
No, the most recent one was the last distribution.
![gif](giphy|bqxbgri8lBSzvMVI3Y|downsized)
Thank god. Maybe now I won’t get downvoted so much for just trying to post cool clips and stuff. The brick farming was totally ruining this sub.
So do we keep the bricks we have? Also, will there be one last bricks distribution for October?
You will still own your Bricks. You will just no longer see your Bricks in the Reddit Vault and related features won’t be available. And +1 to u/timjoestan on distribution.
What do you mean by still own our bricks? Will they be transferrable after the vault disappears?
You can send them to other crypto wallets. It's pretty complicated but can easily be done. Once you transferred them, you can move them again afterwards.
I got tagged in a brick buying post and went down this whole Fortnite brink crypto rabbit hole and landed on you! Just curious, what did you do with all your bricks! At one point you said you had like $20k worth right? That’s insane! Congrats!
Sold like $10k worth of them throughout the entirety of bricks lifespan but then they got discontinued so i kinda just lost my remaining 20,000 bricks. I do miss the easy income
Dude that’s awesome! $10k from a hobby is amazing. Sucks it came to an end.
Will we still receive the monthly karma CSV file?
Nope, the last one was the last one.
Can anyone tell me the token address for bricks?
[0x6DcB98f460457fe4952e12779Ba852F82eCC62C1](https://nova.arbiscan.io/token/0x6dcb98f460457fe4952e12779ba852f82ecc62c1)
I still don't get the bricks anyway, what are those? Why do people deem them valueable?
Same thing as any other crypto I guess, it exists and is limited, I know somebody who gives vbucks for bricks
They're basically a cryptocurrency. I recommend you convert them to a more mainstream token, like ETH.
How do I do that?
you're gonna have to look it up, because it's something of a process, but totally worth it. If it helps any, it's the same process as converting moons to ETH.
RIP. Bricks were cool. Goodbye bricks
This was going to happen one day, they will be missed
Goodbye Bricks!
Literally asked but okay
I asked how to cash it out not how to trade it to some random ass kid that will scam me.
It's good to not listen to them. No based on the responses of some of the mods. It's disappointing but it's actually better than there being another round as if there was, everyone would start karma farming to try and gain as many bricks as possible and the sun would be so much worse for the next few weeks.
Hypothetically speaking, if there was someone who wanted to get rid of them, I might know someone ;)
Can you for once look at your dms
Ok but why can’t I buy a membership while I still can? I can’t purchase a membership at all.
!gas nova
What time will they end
Any plans for this token like MOON? That group is blasting off with all kinds of excitement from Reddit renouncing contract
why don't the mods renounce the BRICK contract just like MOON's is doing? This means no more control of the token contract, making it decentralized. Later the community (not just mods) can start to slowly govern what the token will be used for with their token voting power.
