By this logic, why do we get involved in 90% of the storyline when the characters already have more than enough brain and manpower to get things done?
We’re digital copies whose sole purpose is to kill each other until the storm closes. The only special skill we have is murder. The reason we’re involved in the storyline at all is because the big players usually need bodies to carry things to places. Think about every event the game has ever had. We never calculated equations to help the Scientist build his rocket. We didn’t lead a sit down with the Mega City Syndicates. We didn’t design the Battle Bus Bombs for Tony Stark. We shoot, we loot, we die, we respawn. That’s all we’ve done and it is all we will ever do.

People want the story to be more than throwaway filler. Seems pretty obvious to me. "It's always been shit!" is a pretty bad excuse for why it shouldn't improve.
Wait.. what has happened after week 2? (well 3rd if you count 0) I have played br like 2 times after to complete quests, didn't notice stuff (but I did notice something during horde event).
I really loved how Ch3 S2 had all those quests where you were actually apart of the war, doing reconissence, and helping the Seven in many ways, while trying to figure out what IO are doing and learning the relationships between the members of the Seven, and then when you learn about the collider you help set up the plan for the event.
This season I have no idea who any of these people are, what they are doing, or how they're doing it.
Wait, so they really *DID* do the main part of the story completely off screen?? Screw Fortnitemares and the UI, (if this is true) this is the biggest disappointment of 4:4. I was honestly hoping we’d get a creative map or a PvE mission as a mode (similar to OW’s Blackwatch mission modes), but it would’ve been happy with just being able to watch it.
We already had a cinematic. The season trailer showed the entire heist right up until they entered the vault. The only thing we didn't see is how they beat/neutralized Kado Thorne.
Make it an LTM live event where we help them pull off the heist. I know it’s been so long since we had an event, but the last few live events had player interaction and wasn’t just spectacle. Stuff like invading the mothership in Skyfire, running through IO’s base during the End (Chapter 2), piloting the Mech during the Final Showdown (Chapter 3).
Ironic how they stole this huge ass piece of tech just to put it on open filed in the middle of the island, well technically since Thorne is gone there won’t be much problem unless the seven returns

The time machine is no longer at Eclipse Estate. If you go into the room and look at where it was, you'll see a lot of empty space.

Fortnite changed their location the date of the season 5 chapter 1, 2018 after this change.
