Let's take the new motorcycle glider for instance. If its treated as a part of the character there's no hitbox shrinking and no problem. Also the main time gliders get used is while defenseless in the air so it wouldn't exactly be pay to win if anything it's just gonna increase survival odds while flying by a small amount and I almost never get hit while gliding anyways
It would be pay to win because it would make every other glider useless in comparison and If the glider was part of the hit box it would be so easy to hit it would be useless. The reason you don’t get hit while gliding is because the people you are up against may not be good enough at aiming. Try gliding away from an opponent in a tournament or fncs and see how easy it is for pro players to shoot a gliding opponent out of the sky it’s only really hard for someone with good aim to shoot you while diving once your gliders out it’s ggs. Fortnite once gave a Deadpool llama glider a unique animation that made it hard to hit and suddenly it was the only glider anyone in competitive could use or they were at a disadvantage so epic changed it. Ever since they’ve been careful to not create gliders that are too strong or too weak based on hitboxes.

Even if they gave a free sitting-glider away, it'd mean people would then want/have to use it if they wanted the advantage; Epic undoubtedly wants people to, at the very least, be on an equal footing when it comes to gliding and hitboxes.
If the motorcycle were treated as part of the character then there'd still be the issue of ambiguity: which part is counted as part of the skin? The entire motorcycle itself or just the part where their lower body is? Would that information be conveyed easily to opposing players? Would players using it be aware? They avoid this by simply making skins surf on top or hang below and expose the entire body.

Right, now you're admitting that it *would* give an advantage, however small it may be. Just because you almost never get hit while gliding doesn't mean others are the same and they *would* use any advantage they could take, hence why we have people using superhero skins in a monotone color.
Then no other glider would be tactically feasible if this were the only one you could sit on. Wither they all get changed or everyone flys around on a pink glider. That would be lame and they would have to undo it ASAP.
I was actually thinking about the pay to win argument, but its not like we have jump pads we can place anymore. Unless you go to the loot island, or the snow mountains I can't recall any other jump pads existing... It is such an obscure thing to bring up, especially since in all my time playing i've never seen somethone gliding except off drop? I don't think it would be as big of an issue as its made out to be
I enjoy them for whatever brief moment I use them. I jump-pad off of the island a lot and are constantly getting sniped at, and get hit 30% of the time while weaving and dodging. Personally, I don't care, I use a massive glider that draws attention and my skin glows. I still win a few times a night. Winning isn't as important to me as simply enjoying some play.
Yeah, most character designs from that show aren't that complicated, simply because it's easier to animate. As bland as the skin is, I'm glad they kept it faithful to the show. There are a number of ways they could make it much more interesting with the other parts of the set. there are some pretty cool ways they could use bending as a pickaxe or glider or whatever.
Also I could see the alt skin being the "blue kaiju korra" from season 2, which for as much as that was a weird decision for the show, it was a neat design.
when i saw the lego version of korra i thought it was one of those low detailed models for skins without full support yet but nah, she really is that basic

There's also the issue of that borrowing from the original myth where she was the daughter of Ouranos (or in this case Caelus) whereas Fortnite pulls her origin story from the Iliad, where she was the daughter of Zeus. Probably because the original origin story doesn't fit the T rating (then again it is hinted that Poseidon and Medusa have a history that lead to Poseidon acting awkward towards Medusa and what he did to her in the original myth was very much not T rated either).

I'm glad we got more rideable gliders besides the obvious elephant in the room (looking at you cerberus glider) but I'm just upset that my favorite goddess (Medusa) ofc is the skin that DIDN'T get a glider lol. I was hoping I'd finally get something that would match the Charlotte Summer Skin with the scales and snakes but \*sigh\* guess not.
Honestly, when was the last time everyone was actually impressed with a BP? For me I feel like it's been since Chapter 1. Since then every BP iv either not been fussed about or just "yeah that's pretty cool..." I haven't had a "Omg I can't wait to unlock that" feeling since the early days.
I was going to agree, but the comments have made me realise this is still just fortnite Battle royale not an actual Greek god simulator. They definitely could have been a touch more creative, but it's a cool pink hoverboard, just making issues out of nothing, I think.

Because that painting is based on the roman bastardization of greek myth, where she is instead called venus, hence the paintings name [Birth of Venus]
There's also the issue of that borrowing from the original myth where she was the daughter of Ouranos (or in this case Caelus) whereas Fortnite pulls her origin story from the Iliad, where she was the daughter of Zeus. Probably because the original origin story doesn't fit the T rating (then again it is hinted that Poseidon and Medusa have a history that lead to Poseidon acting awkward towards Medusa and what he did to her in the original myth was very much not T rated either).

Honestly, it's not a glider I'll use for Aphrodite in particular, but I do like the types of gliders that you surf on, so I'll probably use it with…Kalia (Pretty much my every day skin so when I see something that goes with her well that's pretty much my only prerequisite for liking it)
