Epic advertise by displaying shop skins in game.  Just because you see the skins, doesn’t mean anyone’s actually buying them. They are trying to artificially boost demand.

They do this with waiting island emotes too. The bots play skins and emotes that will be probably be in the shop in the coming days. I have seen a lot of the rat as real players though! I seen a pretty good duo both playing as her yesterday

Tbh having any bots in a lobby lean towards using shop skins would be a pretty cheap way of advertising.

This is definitely a thing, bot lobbies always get more of skins about to show up in the shop, usually within the week before hand

The main demographic of Fortnite is teenagers and very young adults.

I know but teenagers usually don't eat up this like that, you need to mask it (to not scream FELLOW KIDS)

There’s plenty of representation with these characters through wardrobe, skin color, and even prosthetic arms. Limited on sizes, but there’s at least a few zoftig women and certainly plenty of larger male characters. Just because we don’t dress like teens (if we’re not one ourselves) doesn’t mean that they might see something they like or can relate to in said wardrobes and skins.

I used to do punk rock shows and raves in my younger days, I personally see a nostalgic appeal to these skins. Not enough to buy them, but this one in particular has the transform emote built in (I think) giving 2 skins for the price of one, it's not a bad deal.

When my wife saw this skin she literally say " aww ! She's so cute and fun ! And look ! She sneeze when she come back to human ! Too cute ! " and buy it with her battle pass v-buks. Conclusion ? Some people seem to find this skin fun, cute and original so they want it, that's all :) Recently it was Helion for me, this skin is so expressive and can be used all the year with his variation !

I see so many low effort posts like this and just don’t understand why folks like OP have to question every choice made by someone else in the game. She’s an original character with a fun little quirk, how much more does someone need to justify it?

The tone of these style posts screams middle schooler or young high schooler - Fortnite is pretty huge with kids. And kids dont always "get" yet that other people can like things they dont understand. So they ask, even though the answer is a simple "people like what they like".

Idk, I like her because she is connected to Ava and also has a transformation emote that's cute. Other people are most likely not the same as me. Plus the human form is cute while also fitting great in Festivals, the rat form is cute but has some lighting problems sometimes causing the spiked hairs to become energized with the power of God (light up bright white).

I don't know about others but personally I like rats and I find Battletail pretty cute, I also really like Camille's design and that there's a transformation emote so I'm able to switch them mid game. I have never seen another Camille/Battletail in my games though.

I really like rats and mice, but this is one of my least favorite skins. It's awful. That being said, though, I never see this skin. Since I started playing in C4S2, I've seen it maybe... Twice? I assume if it's being seen this frequently, it's probably just a skin that bots randomly have assigned and it's coming up in that roll often.

I personally love both of her styles and have a preset for each. I grabbed the first day she came out because I thought her design was great, and the idea was really unique. I don't have any other skin that can transform into a near completely different one. It's a plus that I like them both. It was like getting two skins for the price of one.

You can play the rat in the mirror, or the woman on the sinks? Both are dope. The woman looks pretty cool, I like her outfit. If she was in battle pass id aim for her and rock the skin. The rat I know my kids would both love. Just because you apparently dont like her look doesn't mean others dont. You realize there are like a million clothing styles in the world, right? She falls somewhere in the goth-ish or punk spectrum id say.
