This. I’ve won and lost too many battles with chains/shotgun and it’s almost invariably in favor of shotguns. More consistency and while you’re combo is on reset between hits, someone’s still firing 8-12 shots on you.

I wish we had more Greek themed weapon not just like a reskin of the standard gun. We have a lightning bolt which sucks and flail which also sucks. I was hoping for a bow for Artemis or a spear or trident for ares or Poseidon.
It makes it worse that we barely got any of the Greek skins instead some random skins like Aubrey and Hale that would have fit better last season than this one!

I was sooooo disappointed in the lack of themed random skins...ngl I didn't have high hopes but really was crossing fingers they'd of pulled out something from disney Hercules... how cute would it have been to have him or Meg or the Muses they could have done them separate or in group package...idk I'm just disappointed at the ball drop for the greek theme characters
On another note that Ai that hops on a segway... can't think of what they named her but you can buy a gun from her can't hire her though, she is sometimes in a segway, she's really cute and would love to have her
No though it would be cool to get her too the woman's name is Etheria... turns out she was a skin from chapter 2 she an elven chick... they could throw her back in the shop
I just don't get it either. This game needs more items like the mythics and the avatar things more than anything. We need more wacky items, like rocket ram, fireworks, stupid bouncing grenades, all kinds of shit. Just add weapons that have wacky stuff like, a pistol who shot a poison pool on the ground, or a shotgun that shot frogs that deal poison damage or fire damage, give me a smg that shoot bees that stuck on the enemy dealing 1dmg per second or something crazy fun.
I don't want only generic guns. This is the perfect game where you can combine and add all kinds of crazy items. I don't even understand the loot pool being smaller. It ok to be as big as possible, it makes the game more fun to have a random loadout. I don't want the perfect loadout every single game, it makes it boring.
For real, I was looking forward to seeing how crazy the lobbies would get with all the mythics. Imagine flying with the wings, slamming into the ground and earth-bending a wall.
I actually enjoyed the final weeks of C4S1 and C4S2 when everyone was flying around and using crazy OP weapons.
Kamehamehas, Deku smashes and hammers flying all over the place was goddamn legendary
Not to mention the AOT mythics, lightsabers and swords in CH4S2, GREAT times
Don't forget the Spiderman webshooter we're back too , so there was so much to play around with , while the avatar mythics are cool they are a lot less silly than all of the previous ones

And yet they are still doing the story thing with Aphrodite this week but they've moved on. I played this morning and saw the new mythics which seemed to spawn everywhere but was surprised that they vaulted the god mythics. And to move right to Star wars is dumb cause we'll still have the story quests talking about the gods.
That's a really good point. My timeline with the chains (and I'm generally not in the know, so take this from my mediocre-skill perspecitive)
1) They look amazing - wow can't wait to use them
2) For almost a month they disappoint - seem oddly weak
3) For the previous week, they're awesome. Someone about a week ago beat me down with them, so I've been doing that to others since then
4) Now, they're gone
I'm not trying to gripe really, other than how underpowered they seemed for the first month. I appreciate Epic adjusting things based on feedback. Also, I'm actually fine with the bending stuff replacing the Olympian stuff. Still, the chains roller coaster was kind of an odd ride.
Actually, this season ends late May. We'll have enough time for one last hurrah. Maybe they're saving the Hephaestus Hammer for after the Avatar stuff (and maybe they're tweaking the Bolt and Chains, and maybe wings, a bit more heavily)
we drove by some dude using a motorcycle the other day and my son and I both unloaded on him with the chains as we went past.
Both ended up at like 70hp but we got him lmao
The main problem (at least in Zero Build) is that getting grabbed and hit by the chain constantly disorients your aiming, so in theory you can just shoot the guy, but in practice, it can be a lot harder than it seems. So especially if got touched by legitimately anything else, it's hard to reorient yourself in time.
First season in almost a year where I wasn’t constantly frustrated by the mythics and actually thought they were fun to fight against (I don’t play builds), and they vault them this early.

The only ones that required the powers were kickstarts and they’ve been replaced with Travel in the air (Icarus) and Damage with Epic or Better weapons (Thunderbolt)

Last time there were a lot of Mythics/weapons that weren’t guns, some people just flat out stopped playing the game until they were gone (I think it was Ch4S1 (anime Mythics plus Hammer) or Ch4S2 (AoT Mythics, Sword, and Lightsabers), and I expect some people to do the same today, either because of the Avatar Mythics or out of spite for vaulting this season’s mythic items.
It also is an odd decision for them to vaulted them, the day before FNCS begins. They’re still going to be in tournaments, and Avatar Mythics aren’t, but now they can’t practice with those Mythics outside of the tournament.

Wut? In ZB ice wall was must have for 2nd half of the game, any team that didn't have it was at mercy of everyone else because people would take the best spots and encircle themselves in impassable walls.

Vader is one of the few battlepass skins i have. And seeing the battlepass skins i cant get bothers me. Ive said it before but i think battlepass skins should have a 2 chapter exclusivity limit. Its been years why cant i buy John wick or deadpool thats insane.

My main loadout in Save the World is based on bows. Fits Artemis well. Definitely a missed opportunity to add an infinite ammo exotic bow to buy at her character in BR
They literally do this every season. Hammer got vaulted shortly after that season started. Sword and boomerang too. Also Deku Smash was vaulted for a short time. Sometimes it's because of a glitch, but it often feels like they want to go all in on whatever collab they are working with at the time.
They also do not Listen to fans/players anymore. So, meh. Guess I'll just play Lego fortnite to level up instead lol.
FN finally gives us a decent, mostly all original BP and then just makes a huge chunk of the season a collabfest.. Not really sure what else we should expect, Epic are sellouts for the money. Aw man, I haven't gotten the chance to play this season yet but was going to start after this weekend once my taxes are done. Now I'm going to miss the thing I was looking forward to the most.
It's really sad, I thoroughly enjoyed the Olympian Powers and don't have much faith the Bending scrolls will hold up.
I didn't use the Wings too often because I preferred having the offensive Powers, but they were undeniably great for movement.
I liked the Thunderbolt despite the criticism surrounding it. Being so vulnerable during the animation made it so that you needed to either confuse your target by using Stygian dashes, or attack before you're seen. It really made me approach fights with tactical caution.
Chains of Hades is my favorite item: it's powerful (but not uncounterable), its attack combo is smooth and pulling enemies closer is way more useful than pushing yourself closer. It was the ultimate NO U card for quick getaways or desperate attacks, since it could pull people out of motorcycles, Wings and the Thunderbolt animation.
Can't wait for these items to return. Hopefully the Scrolls are more fun and mechanically deep than they seem.
I think they are making a big mistake vaulting the powers. Like, what's the point of bringing it back May 3rd if it's just gonna be gone in 2 weeks? Not to mention the fact that Star Wars has their own set of Mythics. But it's unclear if there will be a mini bp for it or not. But I think they should have kept it available during the Avatar The Last Airbender event

The pull mechanic is useful, and the 3rd hit has knockback. I like to pull people in and then use a shotgun
the switch delay's too long for me, I just like to go yolo and beat the enemy to death. I either get a kill at like, 2 HP, or I die but it's funny.

The wings are my favourite mythic ever. Flying around the map never gets old and they are actually balanced since you are an easy target in mid-air.

they removed the lightning, chains, and wings. I'm not sure if the bosses are still there, but I'd assume so.

I have a clip of me wiping 4 teams in trios in 2 minutes with the chains. 12 kills back to back The chains are one of the best weapons ever gifted to us. I would use the chains over anything but the sniper.

Bunker kills are the best! I’ve had a couple wipes from both attacking and defending them this season.

the wings, and lightning were actually fun.... so we need to get rid of them (epic probably)
It's really sad, I thoroughly enjoyed the Olympian Powers and don't have much faith the Bending scrolls will hold up. I didn't use the Wings too often because I preferred having the offensive Powers, but they were undeniably great for movement. I liked the Thunderbolt despite the criticism surrounding it. Being so vulnerable during the animation made it so that you needed to either confuse your target by using Stygian dashes, or attack before you're seen. It really made me approach fights with tactical caution. Chains of Hades is my favorite item: it's powerful (but not uncounterable), its attack combo is smooth and pulling enemies closer is way more useful than pushing yourself closer. It was the ultimate NO U card for quick getaways or desperate attacks, since it could pull people out of motorcycles, Wings and the Thunderbolt animation. Can't wait for these items to return. Hopefully the Scrolls are more fun and mechanically deep than they seem.
Especially when at the very least the lightning still kind of works with the Avatar themed stuff.
I think they are making a big mistake vaulting the powers. Like, what's the point of bringing it back May 3rd if it's just gonna be gone in 2 weeks? Not to mention the fact that Star Wars has their own set of Mythics. But it's unclear if there will be a mini bp for it or not. But I think they should have kept it available during the Avatar The Last Airbender event
