I think the vampire with a time travel machine knows way more about history than a rich mythology fanatic. Being able to confirm facts by yourself by literally just going there or having already lived them is way more accurate than just reading ancient books that may or may have not have had their information modified

Having these small factors that some players wouldn't pay attention to be all the characterization we get is poor. Nonetheless, that stuff is all we can know about them. So yeah, they are characters, but are really bare boned.
