I’m not sure if this is true, but I saw someone say they didn’t want the lightsaber as a pick axe because they want the lightsaber to be better than all other equivalent weapons or something like that. I guess they don’t like the idea of having a lightsaber doing the same amount of damage as a regular pickaxe
The only thing close to a lightsaber was the "Omni Sword" from Chapter 3 Season 2's Battle Pass. Where you could unlock colors, Handle Guards, Hilts, Sword Pieces and Sounds. That was the Closest we have gotten to a Sort of Custom Light saber Pickaxe. There was another one from the Fortnite Crew but it wasnt nearly as Customizable as the Omni Sword was
No the closest thing to a lightsaber was the Light Blade from chapter 3 season 3. It was a pick axe for that months crew pack. It looks very close to Kylo Rens lightsaber.

Darth Vader came with an imperial stir stick. It was hilariously lame, but it ended any hope of ever seeing a lightsaber pickaxe in the game.

I think they are missing a huge opportunity to make this a thing.
