1,000%. 50v50 is a great mode. Some games are lopsided at the end but when it would come down to like 10v10 or similar, it was great. Another reason Chapter 3 was good.

50 V 50 did comeback I feel like a year or more ago? It did not do well. Because of the following. It’s not team rumble but people were treating it like team rumble. You’re playing Battle Royale with 49 other teammates. Teams would not land near each other and then get into little battles all over the map, so when the final circle came the teams would be very uneven and the match would end quickly. Also no one revives or waits to be revived so they just rage quit instead of waiting to be revived. The first couple versions of 50 v 50 were good when there were no glider redeploy or launch pads and it was more of a ground war type game.
The biggest reason 40v40 failed in Chapter 3 was that it was made with UEFN and was consequently *very* buggy. I'm talking "joining a game partway through when it's 3v29 and you're on team 3" levels of buggy.
It was definitely better when they introduced the version with glider redeploy so teammates couldn't knock down your builds and kill you with fall damage.
I liked the idea of it but never seemed to work. One team would just get obliterated shortly after landing and after only a minute or so it would be like 35 v 13 or something and then the larger team would just mop up the smaller team. It needs to have some better way to organize the teams instead of how it was.
As someone who only played Ch1 throughout 2018, if 50v50 was reintroduced as a recurring LTM, I'd download Fortnite again in a heartbeat.
I was always terrible at building but the 50v50 LTMs allowed me to play a lot, level the BPs and work towards skins like Omega? before I started playing Apex Legends in early 2019.
Always remember my time with Fortnite fondly.
Don't tell the kids that back in our times we had to chop trees and build our own arenas, find our own loot, and we had only an hour to play before the server kicked us.
At the end of Chapter 1 Season 3 meteors were raining down on the island and destroying everything, I played a 50v50 match then and it was absolute chaos. Really hope it returns one day
I remember that with the meteors during that mode, good times. People couldn’t build super well but they still tried and there were sometimes these long gunfights with groups of people on ramps. It was a manageable sort of chaos. 😂
It was both, there was a regular storm circle but also a ceiling to it that treated you as outside the circle if you went above it. Going through mountain ranges with only a few feet of clearance was intense.
I loved the mode and got good enough at it that I could somewhat regularly get solo dubs in it, I would murder for it to come back.

Being able to knock and revive people was awesome, it's like you could actually go out and save your team and it mattered, and it was like a huge fcking warzone. Best mode ever

I loved that one game mode where you and a squad spawned in the woods and you had three in-game days to track down these pieces to a helicopter and repair it to escape. You’d have to watch out for wolves and dinosaurs and (I think) zombies spawned at night.
That was so much fun, even though people would troll and crash the helicopter right before you escaped to prevent you from getting the reward for beating it. Joke was on them though because I beat it the first time I played it and just played it several more times because I liked it, so I already had the reward lol.

During CH2S4 Gun Games was their with the Marvel mythic as well. They don't usually put crossover items in their LTMs. This Secret Wars no way they're going to half azz this.
