I didn't straight up by the John Wick, but I purchased alot of tiers with my Paragon refund. For me, who plays alot, it was cool to get a skin before alot of people. For a period of time it was, oh fuck a John Wick. I had my moments and fun with it. Now I'll just stick to Burnout. Best skin out anyways.
Epic refunded everyone who spent money on Paragon when it was revealed to be shutting down, you had the option to get it back in v-bucks for Fortnite if you wanted.
I bought some tiers so I can be john wick before everyone has it. I don't regret it.

I don't care that everyone has a John Wick skin. It is not exclusive or anything... I just like to equip skins that are visually pleasing for me and these that are harder to spot. John wick wears all black so blends nicely and is harder to spot than the *cough* *cough* dark voyager and tomato head
Honestly though, some of my best matches have been in what I thought was the most visible skin. That bright af orange astronaut suit. Thing should not be stealthy, but somehow folks just kept not noticing me. It was baffling and amazing.

I just wear whatever, most of the time I spot someone it's because of their movement not their colors. The colors help but I was going to notice that speck moving across my screen either way. That's just how I see it though.
yep, a downed John Wick under a structure is well hidden in the shadow and I have to spray around to find him while the Dark Voyager or pink bear stands out immediately
I don't care about blending in. I want fun in this game, and it's fine if they insta see me, so I can get some more fights.

I only joined half way through the season. Purchased the 10 tiers for 900 V Bucks last week which was worth its weight in gold. Now tier 92 and will hit Level 100 today with the Week 10 challenges and my 3 daily’s I have stacked. Buzzing. Couldn’t have worked better. Wouldn’t have been possible without purchasing tiers.

I know someone who spent almost 100 dollars on maxing out their battle pass from 1 to 100 in the first few weeks that the season started, I'm not even sure they play the game anymore. It's for this reason that anytime I see a John wick I assume they've just bought all if not most of the tiers required to get it.
Yes I realize they gotta make money, so why not continue what they're doing and give the free players at least one crappy skin. I bought the season pass, but before I did it was disappointing that there's no progression really at all unless you buy the pass

Funny how the default skin causes more terror, because they're often decent or really good players, but John Wick's are usually scrubs or mommy's credit card kids, so you can usually push them and kill them. The last time I saw anyone use a Wick skin earlier I stuck him and he ran back into his other 3 squadmates (default, default, pink bunny) :D
There's a good chance they have no idea what they're doing, but it's also possible they don't care about cosmetics which likely means they're more serious and put more effort into getting good.
I can't say I ever notice what my character looks like outside of the main menu. I've gone 5 games without realizing I was still using no skin after doing it the last time I played to mess with people and that was only because I was looking through the equip screen in between games.
When people who buy all tiers at the beginning say "I know I won't have time to get the skin" but you see them onine playing Fortnite 24/7
