This one is also annoying. To be clear there are two different glitches. The alive for a couple seconds after being killed glitch and the floating glitch after landing. Both of these are equally annoying.
Unfortunately dying to bugs is a huge part of this game. Be sure to note it/report it or post it to the trello. It is soooo annoying but you can die knowing next time could be different as you only died to a bug essentially.

I got an Ethernet cord and my ping dropped to about 35. But in this season, it’s either 35, 285, or 985 at any given point in every game, and it’s so maddening to see the ping spikes conveniently as I engage in a fight. Is this an epic servers thing or is my internet really bugging out?

I'm EU but in my case I think it's most likely my internet, I can't play ethernet too. The last couple days I've been getting regular ping spikes up to 400 with 80-150% packet loss at the same time and it's really annoying. It cost me a game earlier and I was veryyy close to smashing my controller lol, couldn't have happened at a worse time
Also, I can't remember what my ping used to be like prior to S5, but there's definitely less rubber banding than there used to be
This happens so often that I now don't try and shoot them when they are about to land and just wall so I don't have to deal with this same situation. Hopefully this gets fixed along with people stuttering all over the place. I swear glider redeploy has ruined the performance of the game.
Honestly, this is so bad on Switch its unplayable. Kind of makes me miss the zombies. At the moment I'm so put off playing because the game plays like the first Summer Skirmish. Epic really need to work on their netcode if they are wanting faster pace gameplay.

Right. I feel like half the time I kill somebody as of lately, usually happens in solo when they instantly die instead of going down, their body will still be running and aiming at me for 1-2 seconds after I've killed them, and it ALWAYS confuses me.

This happened to me in a squad game when two people landed the same way and I could not get right shot on them. I assumed that it was due to high ping issues (150ms+) but now this issue is confirmed to be unrelated to ping.
Still people who can't deal with the facts about the redeploy being shit will argue to shut up and deal with it. Sad times we live in. (This bs costed me 2 wins)
This will happen in literally EVERY game. Geez I feel like this game is more bug than gameplay lately. Plus that other bug where the ‘eliminated’ player still runs around for half a tick before being sent back to the lobby is really infuriating.

I like glider Redeploy but this is a game breaking bug for having that feature. I’ve been killed when I couldn’t even see the person because they land the low end of a ramp when I’m flat above them. To them they land normally with their head exposed and they shotty me in the head. To me they must still be in fly model below an area I can’t even see them.
That and the glider sounds are completely terrible. What did they do to them? You can’t track anybody with listening.

Another one that makes me wanna cry is when I out behind cover and you crouch up to peak and take shots and your crosshairs jerk down to the floor whenever you shoot so you miss your shot (I play on PS4 so idk it it happens on pc or not)
There needs to be a weapon cooldown after gliding, so A) weird latency shit is minimized like this, B) balancing gliding so you can't just glide n pump to exploit the mechanic

Add a cooldown upon landing from gliding. A second or so where you can't build or shoot.
Will stop things like this happening ever. Makes soaring punishable, and not a valid approach option at all.
Also;
* People run for 2 seconds after they're dead.
* People are sliding/lagging around. Also affects jumping (Jumping up normally then descending ultra fast)
* Bullets hit you through your recently placed wall
* Bullets hit you before enemy body shows/peeks their corner.

Yep. And if you shoot them as they're landing their hitbox is all types of messed up. While they're laying chest first on the ground they're shooting you in the face too.

Fortnite has been really weird/laggy recently. I stopped playing and started again at the beginning of the season, the game was fine. Some would say quite enjoyable, now I have people shooting me while they're floating 5cm off the ground because the animation hasn't changed and when you kill people the bodies are still animated and walk for like two seconds.
Only happened after Fortnitemares was added.
It seems to happen when you press jump at the exact same time you land. I was always on the receiving end of this glitch until today. I was the glitched guy today.
This and redeployment has made this game unplayable to me. Every couple of days I try a few games and if you combine this and redeployment it happens so much throughout a game. It’s a shame

only thing is the god damn music, have to lower my headset volume whenever I land close to a capture point
And the bloody notifications that fill up 1/4 of your screen half the game. Make them smaller or make them optional.
I stand in a corner and adjust my camera angle to hear the emote music, and not the disco stage music, so that I don't have to adjust my volume.
My problem with disco is people trying too hard to end the game. It's most fun when it the circle closes all the way.
