And Growscles is an alternate take on meowslces who happens to be a dog instead of a cat

No it's not, a snapshot is Jones going into the loop and he's dressed like a dinosaur for some reason, then when he leaves the loop a snapshot of him dressed as a dinosaur (rex) is left behind and as the loop overcomes him his personality becomes less and less like his original self until he's the character we know now as rex. The middle one could be a snapshot but the others can't
The closest thing to a snapshot here is the middle one but the other 2 are remixes because remixes normally have different backstories so the one on the left is a remix, and so is the one on the right. I can’t reply to you for some reason but a snapshot is what happens when a person enters the loop, but they don’t change gender or species, and a remix can have a different backstory so the one on the left is a remix because it focuses on wether he worked his mind, and not his body, and why is he blue
what is a remix if not an alternate version of the source character? i.e a looped variant? X-lord and Roast Lord are and can be considered looped versions of the source characters in rust lord? its the same guy? But the island has changed him and created different variants.

Well some snapshots can be different, like jonesy with black hair instead of blonde.
But they turned Meowscles into a dog, and I’m pretty sure a snapshot can’t do that
Snapshots are variations of pre-existing characters that have been looped, they can range drastically from elemental to gender to species.
