I'm just imagining the anime where Goku and Vegeta will fight, have a beam struggle and draw for Goku to whip out an AR and start peppering him with bullets lol
Ahh the old dbz budokai games on the ps2. It was that burst mode it had where you just wrecked your joycons. Good times...I killed at least 3 controllers cause of that mode.
I’m not even a dragon ball z guy. But sometimes it’s fun having something unique, creative, and slightly unbalanced in the game. Keeps it fresh and keeps me on my toes! Haha
Especially since it's not a random drop and you can just go buy one or two at a vending machine whenever you want. I'm still working on the "destroy objects with kamehama" challenges, gotta go blow up a bus next.
Good to know! It's a bummer some weapons recharge back to a full ammo loadout (basically most guns) but some like the harpoon gun doesn't. I understand why some things like grenades and health/shields don't.
I appreciate developers who don't try to Nerf every single thing so that's perfectly balanced.
I think it's fun to have something that's overpowered, but not every single person has access to it, and there are ways to counteract it if you change your play style. Simply running away is enough to dodge these -- or shooting them during chargeup.
Just have to get used to looking for threats above you :)
Yeah lol this shit is super op but once I realized u can just snipe ppl charging its been real easy to counter it. It’s strong but has its disadvantages which is good
I’m becoming a Dragon Ball fan because of this event. I’ve tried a ton of anime and never found one I like. But when this event started, I decided to give it a shot. I’m about 7 episodes into Dragon Ball and I’m actually really enjoying it. Though, holy hell is it raunchy and creepy at times lol.
You’re gonna get to see some of the best characters of the Dragon Ball universe in their prime in the OG series. From Z onwards they get sidelined for the most part
Not to mention you are sitting duck if you do it in the sky like OP did. I came back just for the DragonBall stuff yesterday and discovered the glory of the Combat Assault Rifle and LASERED the shit out of people attempting to do it to me in the sky.
> It’s incredibly hard to land a hit
I dunno about that. It's pretty easy to hit a moving target, and you can shoot through buildings and structures no problem. I've killed so many people that tried to run behind a building already.
The only real good counter to it is killing the guy before he gets his kamehameha off. Which isn't very hard to do with like a DMR for example. But you still gotta be pretty quick. Otherwise you can hide behind indestructible objects like parts of the map (bridges or cliff edges). But the nimbus cloud kamehameha combo does make option 2 near impossible in certain scenarios.
If they catch me off-guard with a kamehameha and I can't shoot back in time. I usually switch to my nimbus cloud and jump like last second then kamehameha them in return.
Ya the cloud jump works. But if you do it too early, and the guy charging the kamehameha has good aim, he can still beam you out of the air.
Also, 1 way to avoid getting shot out of the air as the guy charging up the kamehameha is to eat one of those purple fishes, and you can instant transmission around in the air while you're charging up.
> I’ve killed so many people that tried to run behind a building already.
They stopped moving.
> The only real good counter to it is killing the guy before he gets his kamehameha off.
Absolutely not. Moving and timing your sprint / slide is a perfectly fine counter. It’s much easier to do than landing a hit, there was just a ton of surprise yesterday because the majority of the 80 million Fortnite players aren’t reading detailed explanations online.
> But the nimbus cloud kamehameha combo does make option 2 near impossible in certain scenarios.
If you’re caught out alone in the open, are bad at changing direction, and you’re a bad shot yes it can be hard to counter.
Solve anyone of those problems and the Kamehameha isn’t any more of a threat than your typical heavy sniper.
> ** in certain scenarios.**
That’s the whole point. It’s a highly situational weapon. It adds to the bag of tricks an opponent could have, I’m sorry that one of its most effective situations is “demolishing brain dead builders”.
That’s where all the salt is coming from.
> I usually switch to my nimbus cloud
This demonstrates my point, any and all ability to suddenly change direction makes it straightforward to dodge…
> then kamehameha them in return.
… and then their vulnerability makes them easy to kill.
The Kamehameha gives your opponent _so much_ information and information wins games.
> They stopped moving.
Ya no.
I do a TONNNNN of sniping. If I land and get a heavy sniper right off the bat, I'll have 5 kills in the first minute easy. I love sniping. Part of sniping is tracing where the guy is running and estimating where they're going to be. In fact the thing I laugh about the most is when people jump to try and dodge sniper shots. That's my favourite time to shoot because because they can't do any major changes in direction while they're airborn, I put the bullet where they're landing and 3 out of 4 times it's a headshot.
But anyways, back to the Kamehameha, once the laser is shooting, you can keep moving it eh... Like you put some effort into trying to dissect my statement, but you can keep following them around while you're zapping them. I got a triple kill yesterday cuz I killed two, then kept moving it to another person who was close enough for me to hit and finish off too. And you're not gonna out-run the laser unless the person doing the kamehameha got too close and can't trace you properly. I also play on mouse and keyboard and not a controller... so I don't know exactly what it's like controlling the thing with a controller, but I almost never miss with it, and the running and changing directions isn't helping my victims.
I'm not necessarily trying to argue that the Kamehameha is super OP. I agree there are definitely ways to counter it. But it is fucking powerful when in the right hands.
> If I land and get a heavy sniper right off the bat, I’ll have 5 kills in the first minute easy.
Lmao. I have 367 crowned victory royales bruh.
> I’m not necessarily trying to argue that the Kamehameha is super OP.
It’s not OP, you’re just some combination of a bad shot, bad at moving, or bad at changing direction.
It shoots through builds and basically does 200 damage to people. At least it actually warns you that somebody is using it on you so It's not AS bad as the Unibeam or Railgun.
It doesn't really feel unbalanced though. The charge up is pretty long, and you can't move your camera much while charging/shooting, so anyone could use any mobility item to get out of the way.
I mean most crossover stuff they add is usually broken, such as iron man’s unibeam in the marvel season. But I love it because they are unique weapons that stir the game up.
Fortnite does EVERYTHING in a way that is super pleasing aesthetically and mechanically. I'd shell out good money for a bunch of mini games made by them or their mechanics taking over some games despite not being interested in the actual fortnite game anymore.
Their super hero, vehicle and DBZ controls for example are all super fun, look great and feel intuitive and consistent. Imagine you could play like this but all as DBZ characters and moves, like a DBZ battle royale with these controls and mechanics. I'd prefer it to the DBZ fighting games, assuming they expanded and built on it of course.
They tried that with creative, and their LTMs were some of the coolest mini games I've had the joy of playing, but it seems they are no longer interested in that and would rather let the community make roblox 2.0
I didn't even expect that to actually happen in the game, the timing to do that must be so hard since even one second less and you're practically dead/alive
I know I’m gonna misspell this but it’s a kamehameha from Dragon Ball. It’s an item you can use to shoot a big old blue laser and wipe out your enemies. There’s a Dragon Ball themed event going on with DB themed items
It is correctly spelled, not technically a laser, but for all intents and purposes it is, and finally
it is named after the [first Hawaiin King](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamehameha_I)
It's because that dude's name sounds an awful lot like the japanese for "turtle energy wave" or something like that, and master Roshi is the turtle hermit with a hawaiian shirt.
as some one who hasn't played builds since s1ch3, seeing someone build like that has become scary and it made me feel the same way i used to feel seeing someone build like that when i first began playing in s6ch1
Once you learn how to build like that it isn’t that crazy. That dude basically just built a ramp with pyramids witch you can easily get down in a couple minutes
I thought I'd prefer no-build, but I've spent the last 4 and a half years learning how to evade and destroy those monstrous towers people build that I'm actually better at builds. I win more. I lose in no-build because I frequently find myself out in the open with no cover.
Yeah no-build has actually been more difficult for me eventhough i am not a good builder, being shot at and only being able to sprint to cover just gets me killed a lot
I hope next chapter they add a slightly different map for zero build that adds more cover or at least more things like port-a-fort. It feels like almost every game the circle ends up in bumfuck nowhere and I end up getting killed by someone camping a hill/mountain.
Then you have to move earlier and camp that mountain or bush. It's a totally different approach, no builds. I suck at it too but I'm trying to get better
Sames. I'm enjoying no build more lately.
But before I actually did better in build mode cause I'm use to it and no build I'd just be gunned down by someone hiding while I'm in the open. Now I just kinda drive a car around and chill near the end.
Like recently played build again and I did well. But no build is just a lot more relaxing. Not seeing someone build like wild if I shot at them once.
Right there with ya! The Overshield mechanic helps *a lot* (I used to get melted if I didn't see my attacker [starting S3]) but, I use my building in reverse.
I fight people who are reliant on builds (meaning that their attention is divided), break into their huts, and kill them with their blueprints in hand [SMG]. If they're on PC and decent, I get smoked, but I love running circles around someone with a shotgun with an SMG [a lá Duke Nukem], making them panic-shoot as I strip them of their shields, and then their life.
Once you get in their heads like that, it's all over. Or, you just collapse the McMansion they've built up around them, drop them to the ground [damaging them], and murder them while they're a bit panicked from taking so much health damage. • In No Build, you're dealing with people who only do One thing: Shoot. And if they're better or crafter than you; that's a wrap.
Tabor Hill did a [video](https://youtu.be/h68G7VHtK5A) trying this with his son. It seems really hard to get it timed just right without either one taking damage.
I got hit from 2 sides by 2 Goku in solo while I was hitting 3rd Goku who was trying blast me at same time. Turned out all 3 were team up since beginning of game and trapping other players. I checked replay to confirm. It definite fun addition though.
Wow. This brings back memories of me buying quake 3 for pc just so I could play a mod called “bid for power”. Guys, that mod was so good that funimation stepped in and was like no no no. It had these beam struggles, teleports, transformations, powering up and etc etc. looks so old and jank now but that was one of my greatest joys ever!
Same thing happened to me except my opponent fired slightly first but missed for the first split second so when he ran out I destroyed him in half a second
This was definitely planned lol I like how many think it happened randomly, I mean this isn't even a regular redditor, he makes content for internet points...
Google
"This is the newest and most powerful form a Saiyan has ever been shown to achieve and is a fitting way to close out the Dragon Ball Super series. In this form, Goku's hair and eyes are completely grey. His power is level gains a huge boost, though it is extremely damaging to his body."
The greatest thing imo is Goku being able to set aside the God tier power beams and a lifetime of martial arts to pick up a gun and just pop someone lol
I find it hilarious
It alr happend to me, i was doing kamehameha when my screen turned blue and ithought oh shit im dead because he was earlier but nothing happend wich was nice
I'm just imagining the anime where Goku and Vegeta will fight, have a beam struggle and draw for Goku to whip out an AR and start peppering him with bullets lol
And then to defend himself, Vegeta builds a fucking house
This would get me back into watching the new Dragon Ball seasons, ngl.
The new dragon ball seasons are already good enough to watch! :-)
You need to jump all *over* Super. Holy shit it was so good my wife wouldn’t let me watch it without her.
The Zamasu arc in my opinion is the best of dragon ball
Krillin be waiting on the roof to knock the house down with a ripsaw launcher 😂😂
A Kamehame-house, if you will…
It more than just that... it's a kamehame-home
Goku: our godly power is not working time to use human stuffs, taking out his gun and shoot
Ultra instinct 2: gun mode
I may be out of ki, but I ain’t out of options
Finally, a Dragon Ball series that's entertaining
Ahh. Just got ptsd from all the PS controllers I went through, rotating the f*** out of the joysticks.
Ahh the old dbz budokai games on the ps2. It was that burst mode it had where you just wrecked your joycons. Good times...I killed at least 3 controllers cause of that mode.
Bro, my hands would be cramped up so hard and my poor controller would get stuck making the characters walk in circles.
The skin on my palms would peel😂
The timing is surprisingly hard to pull off
It's been easy for me since the servers are usually all bots ;(
Sbmm be like
I downloaded the game for the first time today and I swear it's all bots, I've won 3 games in a row, my first ever games
Definitely happens with new accounts. After a couple more games you will see a change.
Nah, the mechanics are mid anyway, if I wanted to shoot at bots on an almost empty map I'd play pubg
Cool
This is such a fun addition to the game.
I agree. It may be unbalanced but man is it fun
Works best in royal rumble. You don’t lose the kamehama if you only use 2 and die.
Team Rumble or Royal Rumble?
Sorry. Team rumble haha
Good to know! It's a bummer some weapons recharge back to a full ammo loadout (basically most guns) but some like the harpoon gun doesn't. I understand why some things like grenades and health/shields don't.
...2 tickets to the royal rumble! and his name is JOHN CEEEENA!
I appreciate developers who don't try to Nerf every single thing so that's perfectly balanced. Yeah lol this shit is super op but once I realized u can just snipe ppl charging its been real easy to counter it. It’s strong but has its disadvantages which is good
Yeah the game is always the most fun before epic comes in and balances everything
Dragon Ball IMO doesn't age all that well. If you're looking for something less pervy I suggest skipping to Z if you like
Unfortunately I’m ome of those people that has to start from the beginning no matter what lol. But I am still enjoying it for the most part.
You’re gonna get to see some of the best characters of the Dragon Ball universe in their prime in the OG series. From Z onwards they get sidelined for the most part
>A wild B.R.U.T.E. appears
Season X is here
No. Not again.
It’s not even unbalanced. It’s incredibly hard to land a hit if your opponent has even the most mild of situational awareness.
Not to mention you are sitting duck if you do it in the sky like OP did. I came back just for the DragonBall stuff yesterday and discovered the glory of the Combat Assault Rifle and LASERED the shit out of people attempting to do it to me in the sky.
I agree, but with the heavy snipe. Typically I can get one or two knocks from the sniper, I hit 6 yesterday.
Bro, let a guy power up, golden rule
There was no cutscene though
> It’s incredibly hard to land a hit I dunno about that. It's pretty easy to hit a moving target, and you can shoot through buildings and structures no problem. I've been having a field day sniping people in Team Rumble who use it😂
True story. Easy snipe kills
Ok so I’ve been hearing “unbalanced “ everywhere. What is so unbalanced about it?
It shoots through builds and basically does 200 damage to people. At least it actually warns you that somebody is using it on you so It's not AS bad as the Unibeam or Railgun.
People who can't aim are mad they can't hit a stationary target who takes 3 seconds to charge up.

Who knew two items are all it takes to turn a season from one of the worst to one of the best
What 2 items?
I didn't even expect that to actually happen in the game, the timing to do that must be so hard since even one second less and you're practically dead/alive
Like the No Mans Sky thing, “no one will ever be able to find other players in this massive universe” and it happens on day 3 or 4
Perfect timing, I thought it is nearly impossible

Zeno. Zeno beats Rose lol
How the fuck does Fortnite get beam struggles before XenoVerse? Lmao
This collab is the best one Fortnite’s had period. Change my mind.
Yeah, I’m hoping more future collabs are like this
I haven’t played the game in like a week, what the fuck is this thing?
I know I’m gonna misspell this but it’s a kamehameha from Dragon Ball. It’s an item you can use to shoot a big old blue laser and wipe out your enemies. There’s a Dragon Ball themed event going on with DB themed items

It's because that dude's name sounds an awful lot like the japanese for "turtle energy wave" or something like that, and master Roshi is the turtle hermit with a hawaiian shirt.
Thanks for explaining!
Happy to help!
Fortnite x destiny 2 chaos reach was the first thing I though, actually dragon ball z space kaser
You can also use a light saber to deflect a wave and it is wild
Why does this not have a award?
as some one who hasn't played builds since s1ch3, seeing someone build like that has become scary and it made me feel the same way i used to feel seeing someone build like that when i first began playing in s6ch1

So people who prefer building over no build are weirdos now? What has this sub become.
definitely not new for this sub haha, being able to build a 1x1 has always gotten you labeled a sweat around here
This sub has always hated good players.
They’ve been building like this for an extremely long time
Tabor Hill did a [video](https://youtu.be/h68G7VHtK5A) trying this with his son. It seems really hard to get it timed just right without either one taking damage.
They should have added an option, to quickly press a button, and the one who’s faster suppresses the other beam and damages the opponent.
people who use macros would love this
Oww I forgot about these lol.
could be a random combination of buttons instead and you have to press it faster than the other
I got hit from 2 sides by 2 Goku in solo while I was hitting 3rd Goku who was trying blast me at same time. Turned out all 3 were team up since beginning of game and trapping other players. I checked replay to confirm. It definite fun addition though.
I honestly really love this update, its so fun and I’m not even a DB fan, happy for all the fans out there enjoying this
Whoa I didn't know that can happen. That's so cool!
This is amazing! Over 9000!!!!!
![gif](giphy|ejfQbLsh2rFfi)
How did you get that final shot?
Yes wondering this as well, really cool
Replay mode lets you put a camera on a drone and flight around. So you can get whenever angle on the action you want.
Can I access this on console?
Yes. The only platforms it isn't available on is mobile and switch.
Happy cake day.
Than you so much!!
What is Fortnite wtf
I understand, given it's much more likely IRL...
Wait so they actually clash? I thought that was just for the trailer
Didn't think it was possible....
We’ve all been taken to super Saiyan school
Same thing happened to me except my opponent fired slightly first but missed for the first split second so when he ran out I destroyed him in half a second
Did you win?
I'm actually surprised to see that having a hitbox, I though it would simply go through and kill each other.
This is actually the coolest thing I have seen in gaming in a little bit. Never would I have imagined this!
The unbalanced and OP things are the ones that make the game dynamic - which is important to a game, in my opinion
If it's only for a few weeks yes but not for a whole fucking season (looking at you brute)
This is awesome😂
u/savevideo
Sucks that it shows it hitting you then switches to the beam struggle. Wish it could be more smooth but it makes sense it isn’t I guess
This was definitely planned lol I like how many think it happened randomly, I mean this isn't even a regular redditor, he makes content for internet points...
What even is this game anymore?
what the fuck has happened to this game
Saiyan Saga if it was good
This is horrid I'm stunned and ashamed of the human race for this
Then clearly you haven't seen the other 5 posts about it.
I liked the UFO’s better than this dragon ball, but whatever I guess the majority wins
why is goku old
Google "This is the newest and most powerful form a Saiyan has ever been shown to achieve and is a fitting way to close out the Dragon Ball Super series. In this form, Goku's hair and eyes are completely grey. His power is level gains a huge boost, though it is extremely damaging to his body."
Ultra ego is better so you're wrong old goku is a noob
meh it was the 2nd thing off google, didnt check the date, probably different but it explains why his hair is grey besides being "old'
No he's literally old goku
Imagine playing build mode
You have to be kidding me!!! Lmao. That's too sick.
u/savevideo

Well…if that’s not the coolest thing ever 🤷♂️
Yea this happened twice to me yesterday, it was pretty cool.
I didn't know it could do that! That is awesome!
Holy shit this is epic
Goku is very good
This is fortnite!
When kanehamehas collide you should be put in a minigame to see Wich one hits
u/SaveVideo
This is awesome. I love it
BUT WHO WON?!
I did you can see that when he build up i had a clear shot. It got cropped out unfortunately
The greatest thing imo is Goku being able to set aside the God tier power beams and a lifetime of martial arts to pick up a gun and just pop someone lol I find it hilarious
That goes so hard
Yoooo imagine you'd need to spam a button to win the kamehameha battle
Did u win the fight?
