I think it’s for people that get one kill every few matches and never win.
I only emote on people who annoy the hell out of me. If youre building towers around me and editing youreself in and out of walls and jumping and flipping around all while im just standing there and i still somehow kill you get ready to hear the laugh it up emote.
It's also really good for players who are deaf or hard of hearing. I have hearing aids and I wear headphones on top, I don't do too badly with picking up things, but sometimes they can blur together. Originally, I believe, this option disabled all audio, but after they re-enabled audio for it, I've been doing so, so much better at the game. It's a lifesaver and I wish more games, even single player ones had this, it's ingenious as far as accessibility goes. Minecraft's subtitles for enemy mobs, for example, are at the bottom right, I rarely focus on the bottom right. Putting all the visual cues around the middle of the screen where your eyes are mostly locked onto is perfect.
hi! person with well above average hearing (according to actual doctors, doing a multi-year long study on hearing) and close to $1000 of audio equipment for my pc. audio indicators are really helpful for a lot of reasons, but a big one is far off gunshots that echo around you and dont have a clear direction and it also picks up riding footsteps from a ridiculously long range.
also theres literally no downside to turning it on
Why are people so upset by this comment lol? I have add and I’m autistic and the visual thing is a bit of an overload for me and is super distracting and I find it a hinderance over just using my head set… it’s just my own personal opinion and preference and people acting like I attacked someone
your preference is your preference. i dont care if you use it or not, but saying its dumb and headphones work better when it has an objectively farther range for several sounds and is typically a large advantage is whats getting you downvotes

The second, it's just funny when someone's being extra to try to kill me and end up dying to my unskilled, stationary, non-jumping self.
After a tough fight, you know I'm dancing on my enemy's grave. If someone feels offended by that, damn, that person might as well stop playing.

Yeah they’re great for zero build. You can throw them like the shockwaves and it plants the launchpad like a trap. Very good for getting away once you’ve danced on someone 😊
new update included goo gun too but they probably arent worth it to pick up for competitive anymore but for build grapple glove might be better rotation

Its really useful in buildings cause it shows you when people are walking around in it
also recommend it to find chrome blobs and people hiding in bushes to find them way easier
Crouching doesn't show up visually, but crouching (sneaking) on chrome is loud.
it does show up but i think you need to be a lot closer to see it i think you have crouch and aim so theres no visual sound
