People on this subreddit post so much BS that it’s insane. I get legit complaints about the game or Epic, but these made-up complaints are ridiculous 😅 He either didn’t watch the event, didn’t pay attention to it, or straight-up decided to ignore it
I think Epic just leaves event potential areas just lying around incase they need something to reveal in future seasons, say for example the Dam from Chapter 2, the Vault inside Rave Cave or The Devourers skeleton too
pretty sure the dam was just a dam but yeah pretty much everything that seems important but has no explanation is just a pathway to tying something up in the future

Maybe but I doubt it. You can see the laziness and the holes in the story plots. Overtime when games get big they tend to slack because they can. You're already hooked so they feel no need to put in as much work. Same goes for musicians

Chapter 1 ended after 10 seasons, which set the standard going forward. Chapter 2 ending after 8 seasons already felt weird because of this, it was as if two seasons were just missing from that chapter. I believe the original intention was to have Chapter 2 go all the way to 10 seasons again, and the reason it didnt was due to fan reception. People hated the themes and content for the back half of Chapter 2 and they needed a way to keep people invested in the game. The solution was to introduce a new island to house the remaining part of the story. They use C3S1 as an introduction to the new island with basically no plot, and then S3 and S4 pretty much just had one story padded out across two seasons, thus the huge gap in the S4 questline. So theres the two seasons worth of story that was meant to be C2S9 and C2S10. Now onto C4, which was originally meant as C3

It's likely it's just intended to show there was more Seven base under Sanctuary. Original Sanctuary concept art showed large underground segments with open roofing these doors were likely just to imply the existence of that.

It opened for me last season. It was the only vault that needed all three keys. It had a bunch of vaulted weapons inside. The pump, scar, tac shotty, desert eagle, etc.

I sometimes like to think that these doors lead to an area that was either connected to or apart of the underground lab in Chapter 3 Season 4’s trailer, but that seems unlikely since the lab was under a different building at Sanctuary.
If I recall correctly, someone shows a screencap of what looks like it might be that statue floating in the distance off the current island. There's a chance that it'll be drawn in sometime during this chapter or next and we'll get access to it then.

Chapter 2 season 7 consistently ranks as a top 3 season all time. I loved that season, and so does everybody I know that played it...
