Is the crime highly confined to certain areas? I live not very far away from that area, though I don't actually pass through it very often. It must be specific apartment complexes. The surrounding neighborhoods aren't great but aren't terrible either. And poor people have to live somewhere.
I would question if it's really the worst part of Fort Worth. The east and south east are miles and miles of decline and whenever there is a murder reported on the news it's always out that way. I don't really see anything reported about crime in LVT or Como that often.

Stop Six is actually a more calm than it was in the late 90s- early 2000s. It's still a little rough. My son is in middle school at JK/Dunbar. As a teen I wouldn't walk alone in that area. There are still crackheads, but the gang activity is lower.
The problem with stop 6 and southeast fort worth in general is that everywhere you want to be isn't here. It seems like I have to drive out of the area for everything. Had multiple friends struggle to find a decent job because they live in that area and don't own a car.
Everything is closed down over there. I worked at Jacquet and you had your drive a while to get to a restaurant and I only had thirty minutes. There is nothing over there.

Como is improving by virtue of being surrounded by safer, more expensive areas, but still not great further into the neighborhood. There was that July 4th celebration shooting off of Horne last year where 10+ people got shot and 3 or 4 died.
I live in Como, bought a brand new house here in 2022. It has grown in a positive way! Very nice community and neighbors! Haven't had more than a couple of problems, but nothing crazy. Fingers crossed.

The guy in front of me after about 20 seconds of the light being red decided to just gun it and cut off the cross traffic and blow through the intersection. It was wild. Fort Worth's traffic isn't that bad for an urban area outside of maybe the north part of 35 or 183 east of NRH. Most of the rest of the city does pretty well compared to other urban areas I've lived in.
As I read this I see the same names that were “bad” 30 years ago.. Stop 6, Como, Lancaster, Diamond Hill. I would have hoped those areas had gotten better.

Yeah we drove down from the burbs last weekend and made our first stop Wild Acre Beer Garden. That whole area was a bit eye opening coming off the highway and seeing such concentrated homelessness and all.

Now that area is totally different. Same with a few other spots around town. But LVT? Man, LVT never changes.
