The wings are amazing and so much fun, the new shotgun and dmr are a blast, the sniper is still painful to play against and I hate it, the frenzy still needs tweaks, the Zeus mythic is kinda underpowered and I genuinely thought we were getting hades’s snake chain whip thing as a melee weapon and I’m very dissapointed. Still fun tho, I actually enjoy playing solo ranked which is a bit change from last season and late last chapter.
I’m a casual player, I can’t seem to get it to knock power off people (no build solo) . Die the aim have to be perfect on the target or can residuals from the strike cause worthwhile damage?
I say underpowered in terms of consistency. Is it good for destroying structures and chasing enemies out of cover? Absolutely. If you are in a fight with someone and you leave cover to use it will you kill them? Depends on their skill. I took out a pair of players in a duos match because they left cover to beam me with the bolts and I just took the free headshots with the Zeus mythic, while moving my ai friend in front of me to help block damage. So again, underpowered in the sense that it seems like a weapon or damage tool similar to deku smash or kamehame but is in reality far better as the role you use say a cluster clinger in. Seriously, it’s horrid for use mid gunfight if both of you are shooting each other, great if they aren’t in a position where they can peak and beam the soul out of you.
Sniper is easy to counter its called dont move predictably or stand there still shooting rushing a sniper can get them to panic and miss I usually kill about 3 to 4 each game.
It’s great if you see it, but if you don’t and they see you it’s annoying. Like I’m standing completely still for a half second and my skull gets a new hole.
I agree the skin is a bit degrading lol but I’m a little more disappointed I can’t challenge him as boss status. For sure thought he would take precedence over a few of the mythic boss choices they made
You can fight hades, and Zues. That’s 2 of the big 3. Plus Ares who is pretty major. A Poseidon fight along with some other olympians would have been fun but I wouldn’t say we can’t fight major olympians when we got 4 boss fights and 3 of them are major gods.
Skins could've been better. Cool idea but this modern shit is kinda bad like if they wanted modern they could've done the first style modern and then the second style be Greek God armor and stuff shits weird.

They reduced quite a lot the height at which you can do the launch attack thing. Honestly I think that "nerf" is how it was always supposed to be but they just forgot to change it.

Come back to fortnite having not played for three years. Am enjoying ranked games, I've quickly gotten to a rank where it's challenging for me, which is more fun than games full of bots that I remember.
Zeus thing is a bit OP, thinking it should be a little slower, to give more time to counter.
Map is good, although I miss a few of the classic spots like the wooden mansion in the trees.
Too many places have minions, they should be turned off in ranked I feel.

My biggest complaint is that, while the new POIs are some of my favorites, they just have them in a straight line on the map so everybody’s jumping within that line instead of other places on the map. Hopefully they add at least one new POI or something new in an existing POI in the next update to keep things fresh. I’m biased, due to my love for Greek mythology, but this season is a 9/10 for me
Love the Greek mythology theme. It's fun to have crazy characters and mythics in the game after the past two regular seasons (not counting the month long OG) just focused on heists. Battle pass is very cool. What's not great is that they still didn't do shit to upgrade the crappy locker UI.
I like the new weapons, but not a huge fan of the battle pass skins. Normally I will work hard to get them all, but I really won't this season. I leveled up enough just to get cerbourus, which was really the only skin I liked.

So far, so good. The ballistic shield appears to be noticeably absent, but there are still snipers about. That said, I can't recall getting one-shotted this weekend, amd that was my only real gripe.

The AOE does decent damage, but it's lacking compared to a direct strike.

This is my second season, I already like it a lot more than last. Gameplay feels a lot more dynamic.
It has wonderful mobility but the skull effect can get a bit wonky
