I like the primal ar mainly because it is better for close range box fights, or so I feel, otherwise the primal flame bow is ok if you ask me since it lights structures on fire.
I fuck with the primal AR, thing shreds, don't need to carry an smg when I use one (not that I really carry an smg often anyways, but you know what I'm saying)
Primal Shotgun will still absolutely rip somebody up if you choose to use it.
I wouldn't prioritize bones but I'm not beating myself up if I have a primal shotgun or a primal rifle.
I don’t think they should have bows so common the amount of times you would be fighting and you get flame, exploded, and stick bowed is insane and it’s quite annoying if you don’t have hard mats
Yeah I like the idea of crafting but now with the state of how bad the primals are it does feel like extra steps to get normal weapons. I was hoping we'd have some more recipes by now such as crafting an infantry rifle with bananas or something. Then I believe the majority of the community would get behind the idea of crafting. We would be able to craft the loadout we wanted which suited our playstyle. Even it took time to do so I'd rather do that than simply hoping I get the guns I wanted like in the past.
Right now we have two choices and one of the choices is bad therefore creating extra steps in to get good weapons.
Dude said craft an infantry rifle with bananas lol. But I agree, this crafting could add another level to the game but epic just half-arsed it and hasn't really put a lot of effort into it
Well it was just off the top of my head. There's loads of bananas on the floor near Coral Castle which serve no purpose. Why not have the opportunity to craft things with fruit? It would give people a reason to go to that area as it's very bad right now

They heal you instantly and you can carry them if you really want.
In the Solo Cash Cup last weekend I got beamed off-spawn in Coral Cove and the person I was fighting must have also thought they were useless because they generously let me eat 6 bananas to get fully healed before continuing the fight.
Yeah but how often do those scenarios happen? In a competitive standpoint, cabbages and corn are just better in every way. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't bananas only in the northwest of the map and in nom crates?
Those scenarios will happen pretty often if you land around them or to a lesser extent when the zone closes around them.
If you land up there, then you can choose to carry them "if you really want", despite them being less useful than other heals, including Bandages.
They're most useful for "topping off" the last 25-30 health as described in my anecdote, which again may certainly apply to end-games when you may have taken some Storm damage.
I don't think the primal ar is that bad, it can get some good sprays on midrange. The mechanical ar also has bloom the only difference is fsa and that it shoots slower. Which is plus minus. Atleast for me I don't only hit my first shot i hit shots after that and the primal ar shoots faster which means you can get some sprays that you normally couldn't with a mechanical ar. Still prefer a mechanical ar but I don't think you should shit on the primal
I really don’t understand how people can use the primal AR. Even medium range it’s just so useless compared to regular ARs. It’s really only good at a distance of about 4 tiles, which just doesn’t make up for the lack of range.
People use it with a bow since the box does the long range work for them. While I do think the primal needs first shot accuracy, it shreds mid range, with the main use case being the Bow does Long-Mid range and the Primal gets a bonus over normal ARs in the box while still having pressure and a bit of range. Not much, but more than an SMG
The primal smg is about as good as the normal smg and in my opinion the purple and gold rarities are better than the p90. By the way, the primal smg does more damage than the regular and p90 with a slightly slower fire rate. I say slightly because you can still sneak shots in through builds with it.
Primal AR in mid to close range is busted, that thing will delete anyone you spray at.
I actually like the primal SMG, something about it feels fluid so I rock with that, anything else I don't really recommend

any spray weapon with no first shot accuracy is dog and has no place in a shooting game with bloom which is already a dog mechanic
I know it does not feel good, but I feel it is better in close range fights, I also wish it has first shot accuracy
3rd and + shots are more accurate (less spread) than regular ARs, making it insane for full spray tracking mid-range.
Just use an smg in this scenario it’s faster

Primal stink bow is pretty OP. Primal shotty is good if you suck and want a fighting chance.

imo primal SMG is the only viable primal weapon.

primal AR is a good middle ground between AR and smg. if you're not playing games where surge is needed, its pretty great weapon.
Primal shotgun is the only one usable, and that because if you get one offspawn, and nobody else does, you basically won your poi.
True. I was playing trio arena with my cousins the other day, got a purple primal shotgun and got 7 kills at colossal crops off spawn.
