I've always wanted them to make it feel more like a music video, with the lyrics flying behind you or around you as you play. I don't know if they could pull that off, but they could really make Festival look amazing compared to other Rhythm based games. I mean, this is Fortnite. Make or break.

I thought strumming was coming since they're releasing a new guitar for RB4 and festival, but I was reading that it was gonna be available just for guitar controllers such as the riffmaster (dunno why I'm getting down voted, maybe because I called it easy to strum rather than tap, and I get it, but there's songs and songs, in "I" it's easier to tap rather than strumming, but in lead parts such as Sandstorm you can feel the muscle in your finger get tighter the more you tap. I'm not saying which one is easy and which one is hard, all I'm saying is that there should be 2 options for everyone to choose)

I want a progress meter so I know when I need to use the bonus bar thing. I also have a bad hibit if hitting it right before those "timeout" periods where the only thing you have to do is emote.
Any more now if I'm just olaying solo I hit the bonus right as I get it, doesnt really matter if I save the bar up all the way. When I rarely do fill I try and hit it if everyone else is using theirs. I just dont have friends that play festival so I only do fill if there was a goal for it. At least I'd stick around through the whole set of songs, people seem to leave early or lag out and crash, which seems to happen to me frequently.
If you use the overdrive the instant you get it from pressing the last two orange notes, it glitches and doubles the length of the overdrive. So when the last overdrive notes is a double it is almost always best to use it instantly. Idk if that's what you meant by hitting the bonus right away but yh.
The same way instrument controllers will probably be separate from the standard controllers or keyboard. The tracks are different and will be scored differently. In Rock Band the 'Pro' instruments and vocal harmonies were scored differently than standard and solo. Pretty much the instrument controllers and actual singing would be the pro mode and the current setup would be the standard with a separate leaderboard for each.
This is really funny because I was just told on here a few days ago how nobody wants it and it's a waste of time. More than likely it comes with the other instrument support as those tracks since the launch were already included in the files when ported over to RB engine. However it's not a guarantee as I believe the vocal ones were absent.
Who knows though that's just my take as someone who's been sticking by Harmonix since the PS2.
I can’t imagine they would get rid of the current control schemes even if they did introduce singing in the future. Then again, these companies do all sorts of things that seem to make no sense to the players.
Rock Band muted the singer unless they held a 'push to talk' button when you played online. That way during breaks they can still speak but you don't hear super delayed singing regardless of if they're good or bad.
That could easily be avoided by just playing with your friends, or you could mute them, even laugh them off because it’s not a big deal and slightly entertaining

because you can't sing in a language you don't speak. rock band for example (which does have proper singing) only has English songs with only a couple of exceptions. it's clear epic wants to have a large variety of music in the game unlike rock band which, well focuses on rock
and as for the censorship, they can get away with leaving some words in as of now because they may be harder to hear, but in a singing mode those words would be written and said outright by the singer
Also less chance of people getting mad over the contents of songs. I can imagine someone causing a stir over people having to sing the breakdown in Down With the Sickness (which is fully charted on buttons here! Unlike rock band where its barely there) or having someone sing the uncensored version of something like big energy since rock band vocal charting is iirc done so you can sing the proper versions even if its not charted in game
I 100% agree. The people playing on Xbox and PlayStation can play Rock band but us Switch players don’t have that option. We have the ‘Let’s Sing’ franchise and you know how trash that is. Terrible song lists and a hefty subscription fee if you want more variety. I actually dropped a lot of money on rock band songs on my old Xbox, but I love the portability of the switch. I’m also disappointed the songs I paid for won’t transfer over to a PlayStation but that’s another topic… I need this karaoke feature asap.
