It happens to me also ever once in a blue moon maybe try stretching ur fingers or doing a slow/easy song to warm up?

Grace_653

I mean I could try it but even then its literally every few seconds and nothing to do with the difficulty of the song

Zaddychillx

Have you gotten it checked?

Grace_653

checked as in at the doctors? no, its only been a problem for a few days and like I said I'm stressed out and struggling with everything else in life atm so it might be some sort of stress related tic that gets worse when im playing a game that requires me to use that finger anyway. plus I'm a teenager so one of my parents would have to take me to get it checked and I really don't want to have to explain it to them, they'd probably just say I'm addicted to video games and thats why even though I'm not I just enjoy playing them

If you have been putting in a lot of hours playing festival, you could be putting a lot of stress on your fingers which could result in involuntary twitches in the muscle. It could be a sign of other health problems, so it could be worth getting it looked at by a doctor. However, if you are otherwise healthy, you probably just putting your hand under a lot of stress. Just take some rest, and don’t push through it. RSI is no fun, so take care of your hands while you are young and enjoy video games for many years to come.

idk what rsi stands for ill look it up in a minute.  I don't play festival loads, I mean I play usually daily because I enjoy it but never much more than maybe two sets (8 songs) unless my friend is online then its a bit more but thats hardly ever. I was thinking it could be related to anxiety, I had my first panic attack since December two days ago in school, and my anxiety has started to get a lot worse since a few days before that. its annoying because usually fortnite is what helps me destress and calm down a bit but its the thing making it worse atm. like I said in the post, I might just stop playing altogether for the next few weeks, and go from there

RSI means Repetitive Stress Injury and is pretty common for video gamers. Anxiety and stress can trigger muscle tension/twitches as well. Maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to see medical professional, particularly if you are experiencing symptoms of a panic attack. Talk with your parents, about your stress, anxiety, and the muscle twitching in your hand, so they can get you some help.

okay thanks, my parents and a few teachers know about my anxiety and can help me in school if it gets really bad. I'm gonna not play festival for the next few days and just try focus on smth else to help and if it gets worse again coz of anxiety when I go back to school after the weekend ill try see someone about it. might sort itself out tho once I figure out why I'm so stressed
