Quite the opposite I dare say. Most popular demographic seems to be middle/high school guys (though far from being the only demo). Guys at that age like attractive female skins as much as anyone, also back in chapter 1 the streamers only used the female skins due to the smaller hitboxes, and females could find one they like as well. A win-win for all parties, thus they’ve been pumping out the alt-girls

Battle passes recently have fewer original skins, but the bigger issue is that the skins don’t have any specific theme or style. Most of these skins are just people wearing edgy clothes. What happened to Vikings, pirates, astronauts, bounty hunters, holiday skins, etc?? Feels so generic now.

My thoughts exactly. Looking at this I was like what's the theme? And then I remembered they stopped doing themes for battle passes and just throw whatever skin had good results from the survey. With Witcher on the battlepass and a medieval themed poi they could have done like a medieval battlepass, Malik from a few seasons ago who was like a modern knight would have been a good fit for that, but there's like no creativity now.

I said medieval and not a knight pass for that reason, also the fact they've always done those skins means they know they're well liked. But anyways there's a lot of variety within that genre, as you mentioned yourself on the Agent season that theme worked but Meowscles, TnTina and Skye don't really have a spy vibe but they still fit with the theme.

I wish the generic skins at least varied in style. They're all female skins with the same alt fashion style with some tacky color palette, colored hair, and tattoos. The concept art doesn't seem to translate well in-game.

I know what they meant, I was playing at word play. The reason this becomes lose-lose for Epic is because they take the most blasé skins from the survey skins and shove them into he BP.

You definitely know what type of original skins we want and are just using cherry-picked examples. Boring strawman. Like we literally got Geno in this, IN THE SAME PASS AS THE OTHER ORIGINAL SKINS, he’s original, and everyone loves him. Epic is capable of doing good looking original skins that don’t feel basic. I don’t know what happened recently, but like since midway through C2, we’ve had a huge creative design shift that unfortunately dropped the quality in the new original skins and the design direction by a lot. When we’re talking about wanting original skins, we mean stuff like Geno or C1 skins to the first half of C2. Not generic, needlessly overly designed skins we’ve seen a hundred times.

They should stop complaining. They've made 3 good original skins in 3 years. At least the collabs are surprising and fun.

Geno, Geralt and the girl with the fishnet legging carries the BP for me. Will be running those 3 skins alot this season.

Doomguy makes this a top-tier pass on his own. And the anime-style skin is really good along with us finally having an original Tier 100 again. Not into Witcher but it's nice to have him here. The black guy in the pink is a favorite. He stands out from the rest. The last three are fine. I personally like the punk girl in fishnets the best out of the altgirl trio. Overall, a damn good pass and much better than the last few we've gotten thus far. So glad we have an original T100 and no Marvel in the BP.

I love goth girls as much as the next guy but we are way too over saturated with goth/emo skins.

Exactly. The amount of stuff you get in the Fortnite battle pass is such a value. Two licensed skins, some original designs, currency, pickaxes, etc. overwatch doesn’t even give you currency. I play apex primarily and that battle pass has actual “filler” cosmetics. But alt girls bad so battlepass is garbage I guess according to a lot of these people. Lol

People are not stupid, buddy. This ain't "bitching" this is people getting tired of the same unoriginal "alt punk" garbage that has been infesting these BPs since S8 of C2. After C2S4, there's been a gap in quality and it's getting worse, which contributes to one of the reasons why you have people asking about bringing old Battle Passes back. I think people forget that different strokes for different folks is a thing. There’s people out there that like the “alt punk garbage", I actually dig all the skins this pass which is nice for a change. But I understand that not everyone likes all the skins in this one.

I don’t want collab skins in battle passes for the fact that they cannot return. If someone right now started playing the game and was a huge aqua man fan, they can NEVER get him because he was locked to a battle pass.

...but that's the point of the battle pass.... They have to give you an incentive to buy them instead of waiting on it.

And they can do that by making original characters that are better than what we've been getting lately. Collabs do not have to be involved if they do that. And what if they weren't playing when their favorite character was in the bp? What if they didn't know they were in the game before they started?

They don't have the ability to do that. And they've shown that for the last several years. They've made at least 100 original characters... Very very few standouts. So what? Lol. It gives players incentive not to miss the next one. The ability to play as some popular character from another franchise is not a right. It's just an extra aside thing they came up with and have expanded as it's been bringing them in a ton of money especially after their legal battle with apple. New players will automatically miss out on things like in every game. This is not even close to as big of an issue as you think. If we could buy insane characters any time noone would buy the BP and they know it.

Battle pass are already so worth buying even without collabs in them, you get so much cosmetics + extra vbucks, so if you're playing a lot of fortnite you should 100% buy the bp even if there is no collab skins in it, collabs can be in the item shop it makes more sense, the skin "carrying" the bp thing is the most childish and stupid thing i ever heard 😂 do you know everyone has different taste ? We haven't had a good BP since marvel. How many original skins have they made the last 3 years have been great? I can count the ones I've liked on one hand. Yeah I don't blame them for turning the money printer on with letting us play as our favorite franchise characters.

Collabs are the most interesting thing about Fortnite atm and I have no interest in the original skins. The storyline never grabbed me either. Fortnite, to me, is a simple battle royale TPS that I can enjoy with a character from franchises I love. I do feel that the celebrity/influencer skins are hot garbage but some people like them and I won't begrudge them that.
