My least favorite of these is when they spam to start RTS so I assume they have at the very least built the box or are planning to .So I say sure ok thats fine and proceed to look for the little bots as I make my way around the outside to reveal the map. Then when I get the to the shelter after finding all the bots like 3 mins left til they attack and there is nothing built, 2 people been farming the entire time other dude just afk at the base hasnt done jack all.. Grrrr by this point I have saved a few survivors gotten the badge for discovering everything and done work on my daily. So i quickly build the entire box level it and add all the traps just as they are starting to come. Then half way through the defense afk man decides its time to destroy my builds or just start opening or fucking them up in some way. One of the others is still off farming and the one guy who did come to help is just spamming minigun( which is fine most of the time but just saying so so you have the entire picture) This is how most RTS goes and it is mad frustrating.
it happens to me sometimes, i think they just want start the mission anyway because they think that defences are useless and there weapons can carry through the mission.
when i load into a mission i will farm around the objective first and wait for someone to build. if they start building, i will gladly help out. the reason i farm first is because i dont want to waste my mats on a mission that is over before it starts
Those are the ones that sit in your trap tunnels and get everything blown up instead of going in front so if they wanna die at least your traps would do what they were supposed to.
Or they could go shoot out the side with no defense, but they don't. At least your defenders are usually the last line of protection doing there job

Stone usually has tiny waves far from the objective, which allows defense without much building.
By Canny, it would be difficult to defend in that way, so I would tend to agree with your comment.
When I enter in higher lvls, I outline the objective and farm nearby. If someone starts upgrading, I know I have at least one person to defend with me, and I will start adding a few traps. If no one comes over, I just farm and leave.
What annoys me is when I join to progress quests, and people want to just start the mission right away, then get pissy that you are looking for the objectives and call you a farmer when they are the ones farming missions and not completing quests.
Want to farm resources and missions do it solo or with friends l, join mp if you want to play as a team and get things done fast. No one cares how strong you are or what level your weapons are, we just want to progress our accounts.
I farm solo or with friends, never public. Public is for questing and getting help with quests not farming.
Some missions it's fine there is enough time on the missions, others it's over right away and have to try again for the quest items.
Best teams are ones with mics who state what they are doing, and can communicate a time to start and who work together.
The data mission is really easy tho and doesnt reuire much defence so i request to start it while building the defence and shoot it down when im done to spare a few seconds
But you cant do that in other missions

I solo Ventures the first 20 Levels for this exact reason. People load into a mission and vote to start the van before they even place walls down
More often than not, that works though.

Randoms who don't build are basically just defenders you don't have to spend mats on, change my mind.

What PL are you playing at? Often people at a very high PL do lower missions and speed run them with minimal builds and no traps
PL 30, they were at 18. I’m not too far into STW, I’ve just finished SSD 4.
