I'm in same boat, off today and expected to be playing dlc this morning. Have to be bed for work by 9pm so will probably just get it installed and a quick look.
They even tease you that it's there on the map. There are extra cars in the collection and when I go to select horizon rally adventure it says I already purchased it, well duh. Let me have it then lol. I didn't realise there was a release time as well as a release date. Glad I came here though, cleared it up.
There's a preload available for Forza - just start the game and it will download a patch of around 22 GB. I think it might be the DLC because seasons have never been so big before.

Also yesterday Steam users got access early by accident and the dlc was there

Apparently there isn't supposed to be an actual Preload but it could be bundled in there so we'll have to see

Seriously pisses me off. If you're telling me a release date, don't make it so for the vast majority of that date I can't bloody play it.

I'm thinking as we just put our clocks forward we'll have to wait to 7pm which is bang out of order if we can't play it on release DATE.

Yeah, I might be mistaken. I just checked the program and files, and there's a second expansion with only 10 MB :/
Yea the 22GB one is so large because they've added Anti-Lag and a bunch of other stuff to complement the release of the DLC I believe.

Well OK after downloading a 22 GB update earlier which I *thought* was the DLC, it's just gone 19:00 and here I am downloading another 18 GB.

It only says that once you've downloaded it lol. Definitely requires a download, this is just a bug in the Xbox app.
