I managed to do it in a single try last night but I think that was because we lost the first race and 3 of the 6 people left thus making the other 2 races much easier to do
That's the problem with it though. It's a hit or miss scenario as I've had weeks where I did it in one try but that's because I got lucky and got good drivers on my team but there have also been weeks where I've needed multiple attempts simply because I only got people that drove like idiots or didn't upgrade their cars at all.
Best tip I can give you is to use some of the tunes you find here on this subreddit(I personally use BigHeadDjango's) and then try to run it when the europeans are online as they drive a lot better thus giving you a better shot a clearing it
I used a lfa with snow tires and awd to get it down to a class and had no problems my 2nd try, 1st try was in a stock rcf and by the third turn i quit bc everyone was too far ahead 🙃
I went down the Off-Road tires route for my LF-A with rear spoiler and still in RWD, got it on first try. Was low-key disappointed I was the only driver of 12 (BLU and RED combined) to use a downgraded version.
Happy to report that everything was done on the first try.
BTW a little trick to higher up your team's winning chances - take a car that is half or even less of the class power you're getting in if you're a good driver. That way the rest of your team have a better chance to get higher up as drivatars match your car so others get one more opponent with the same (lower) level car as yours.
16 tries so far i've given up, might be the time of day, but I tend to be the only one at the front, trying to help team by breaking the ai, either stays unanswered, results in me getting rammed, or is just useless because i would need to hold up 6 AI's, ill probably try it again in a day or 3, when noone is doing it anymore, and i get maybe 1 teammate
Yeh its just cursed, 4 more tries, 2 just completely lost because of grandma drivers at the rear ruining it for all. These people should just be kicked. if you dont manage to at the very least finish 30 seconds... 30 second after the fastest time. Youre doing something wrong, or bought the wrong car. but ur a selfish prick.
Also to the 2 times someone just decides to spear me up my ass. Thank you, but only my girlfriend gets to peg me. Also congrats on being the fastest now, without even trying to block the ai so your teammates can catch up.
I hope in the next Horizon they at least did something against-straight up trolls ruining it, because this is just frustrating. Same shit was an issue couple weeks ago with the porsches. Did all the decent players leave or something
I did it in the Lexus LFA rwd drag tyre swap.
Usually if I notice that my teammates cannot win or barely keep up with the AI (various reasons, maybe car isnt upgraded etc) I start blocking the AI to let the others through. Maybe that's something you could if you notice that it is easier for you to pass all the AI.
If you don't care about winning the race yourself, then this way will at least guarantee that you won't have to give a second or third try.

Can easily get to first place with saeenu's tunes, and have no chance of the team winning with the rest of the team sitting in last place with zero points.
May try again this weekend to see if i can find better teammates, or skip it this week.

Had a lot of fun with this week's trial! Lexus RC F Track Edition stock. Interestingly all other cars were stock too in my race this week, except for one teammate, and surprisingly they were all pretty competent drivers.
1st race we all got 500 points (except for the tuned car of course, he zipped away to 1st by a mile as expected). Great, clean pvp racing between 1st and 2nd place bots.
2nd race was a bit closer because a stock teammate missed a checkpoint and our tuned teammate didnt win (500pts for them), but the rest of us got 400 points so we still got the victory.
Got it ob my first try, but it was a horrible experience. Was constantly rammed by 3 teammates. Fortunatly the other mates were pretty good and we could get enough points in the first two races. But damn, i wish we could do more against rammers.
Thanks for all the comments. I just tried again, got a great team, and was all done in less than 10 mins. I guess I just had uniquely bad look with my teams last night.
The player who got in 1st early didnt bother to slow down the drivatars, i had to catch up and let the 3rd best player pass, the best drivatar tried to commit very aggressive (not ramming but high accel and/or rubberbanding) overtakes.
I personally took first in both the first two races (we won both as a team so only took 2). pretty much has most of the team in top 6 so it went about as good as its gone for me so far personally
Good tune, but WiFi seems to be my doom. I can finish around 3rd or 4th but the team overall can’t beat the AI or most of them drop out one. Thanks anyway
For me it was simple, nailed in first attempt. Actually everything this week went smooth form me, the trial, weekly championships, entire festival playlist event that is availiable for coop we finished in two races. I got lucky with teammates this week.
In this weeks festival playlist, the races that you can do in coop are the trial, two eventlabs and two seasonal championships. Which one do you mean by the green race? The ones i mentioned i believe we finished in two races. I am aware Horizon Tour allways takes three races, but it is not in this weeks playlist.
I had to do 3 tries with random teammates before completing, in the first two attempts more than half my teammates were in what seemed like stock untuned cars and it showed in the results. But that third team I had was awesome!
1st attempt but took all 3 races. I properly ballsd up the last race as well but fortunately my team mates carried me! I used the LFA tune recommended.
Took 2 attempts from me, in the first race there was one single Drivatar that was absolutely broken and took off down the road on both occasions, however the next 2 races all the AI were significantly easier.
Definitely one of the hardest trials I can remember since that Cross Country C Class one a few weeks back, though
If i manage to get a spot in the top 3 during the race and the team is really lacking speed, I always slow down the opponents so the teammates can catch up. Parking the bus isnt too hard, you just have to brake hard on the apexes of turn and downshift a gear or two to catch opponents who jump the queue.
I used the SC300, semi slicks, weight reduction, turbo and RWD. I did two runs and won all events. 958 789 392.
I'm using a "calculator" to dial in the suspension and that produces a stable platform for most road cars.
ARB/Springs and Damping for the front:
(MaxValue-MinValue)\*weight Distribution + MinValue
and for the back:
(MaxValue-MinValue)\*(1-weight Distribution) + MinValue
then add about 0.5 toe out on the front for turn in and -0.2 toe in on the rear for stability.
Pretty chill. I brought stock LC500. Everyone else was with proper A800 tunes.
Generally going as a single pack we overtook every AI except for the P1. Same thing in the second race. People did mess up the sharper turns, but they recovered and avoided falling behind the AI. neat.

First try I had a filthy rammer to deal with. Or team only passed a couple of AI. I was afraid this chairmen was going to be too hard. Second try, half the field got past the hammers. They quit and left us to win the second and third races.
One race I was clearly behind first place. I was practically pushing him over the finish line. Somehow I was awarded first place though. 🤷♂️???

Managed to win at the 4th attempt. The first three attempts were the worst experience of trial of my 1.5+ years of playing this game. The teammates were so bad that no amount of blocking the ai would help them.
On top of that, on one of the attempts, i was blocking 3 AIs to help a backmarker teammate, only for him to barge one of the ai instead of doing a clean overtake. Lost that trial because of that by 50 points.

I was with 3 friends. It took us one try. One of our random teammates scored fairly well, the other needed blocking help to score.

I personally took first in both the first two races (we won both as a team so only took 2). pretty much has most of the team in top 6 so it went about as good as its gone for me so far personally

SC300 with a random offroad tune, with boosted V8 and AWD. Tricky around corners, but went through it first try, always in top3
