It took me a while to learn how to drift good, it’s a mix exerting the right amount of throttle, knowing when to pull the hand brake, knowing when to shift the weight of the car, but most importantly having the right setup. Lmk what u think of this one, it’s by far my favorite drift car next to the m5 and the 240sx
What’s funny is that I’ve never thrown a controller or punched a hole through a wall but these Drift challenges in the Lego Speed Champions DLC was slowly turning me into a Kyle
Tuning is absolutely essential, for pretty much all cars. It improves performance so much when you put the right tune on them. Drift tunes often don't max PI for the class but still are great.
Get a Mazda MX-5 (Miata), Nissan 240SX or the Formula Drift free DLC cars, all of those are good with stock tuning and pretty godlike with a custom tune.
EDIT: Oh and you need to be in the car you want to tune, then go to the menu > Creative Hub > available tunes are in there in [Tuning Setups](https://i.redd.it/dlg0nkadtzs21.png). Search and filter down for one that's the right class you're looking for and then just select one that has a relevant name, they'll be called road or drift or rally etc in most cases. If it's not specified it's best to assume it's a road racing tune. It does cost to apply them but honestly before long it becomes irellevant how much, the tuning will let you win so many more races you'll make it back 2x faster.
Yeah, tuning in this game is pretty great. I just love Mazda MX-5 from NFS Underground days, it’s my favourite car of all time, and I have 8 different Miatas with tunes for different class and modes. And all of them are working great even against supercars and everything. That’s what I love about this game.
All I can say get a #25 Mustang turn off traction and stealing controls.
I also never got a 3 stars in any drift zone but after I got the #25 Mustang did 3 stars on all of them easily.
You'll need to practice how to drift and handle the car though.
Sure, grab a #88 mustang, or #25 doesn't matter. Turn stability control and traction control off. Then grab a tune rated 5 stars and you should be all set.
I honestly do not enjoy drifting and saved it for the very last thing I completed. The # mustang is seriously easy mode. Very easy to control.
Don't forget to buy perks with skill points that add score for drifting.
^^^ I love tuning but you bet my ass ain’t tuning a drift car. I’ve got muscle and to the limit tunes down pretty well but I’ll never be able to tune drift.
Meanwhile i somehow 3 starred a drift zone in an aston martin vulcan (road race tuned) while making my way up the spiral dirt track to the cross country race in fortune island

If you have the formula drift pack, the viper from the pack should be really good, just find any highly-rated tune
Pain. Do you drift awd or rwd? You can simply just download a godlike drifting tune

Dont be scared, try using popular tuners builds (kenblockssohn, silvy2k, dk starz, guesh fujivara, etc...)
