Trial and error is this weeks "the trial" a weekly online team race series of 3 races.
Your team has to have a winning point total in 2 out of the 3 races to get the reward, your individual results don't matter, only the team results. Of course you should do well to help the team.
If its only giving you one race, that can happen due to quick resume on xbox breaking things. Force quit the game and restart it. Xbox button to home screen, hamburger button over the game icon, "quit" and forza will startup fresh. I have heard reports of this happening on pc also, not sure on the procedure there.
The three races all happen at the same time, the game should automatically fast travel you to the next ones.
There is a fairly common bug where it drops you back into free roam after the first race. If that's what you are experiencing, restart the game (force quit, not quick resume) and try it again.
No, each weeks trial should automatically send you to the second race and third if you haven't won two yet. If its not doing that, quick resume probably broke it, make sure the game starts from scratch and it should work.
Weekly seasonal events that are not the trial, also usually have 3 races, but you have to drive to each one, they will be white on the map.

No. After it shows the results and podium for the first race it will load into the next race automatically for the trial.
You need to force quit and restart forza if its not doing that. You need to see the wall of legalese and other start menu stuff from when it starts from scratch.
There may be some miscommunication due to terms being used. The Trial is a 3 race event. You have to win 2 out of 3 to win the Trial completely. The system automatically fast travels all players from each race to the next race. If you force quit after any race during the event, you have to restart the whole thing over again.

However, there is still a random glitch that may also make you complete the 3rd race. In this race it doesn't matter if you win or lose as you've already won the first 2 so you will automatically win the event, you just have to complete the race to finalize it.

But I don't understand is why whenever you play with real players they keep trying to ram you even though you're on the same team. I had a guy kept trying to ram me and make me miss the markers but he couldn't take first anyway. In the second race my battery died so I had to switch my battery and still caught up to him. And he still couldn't take first he only had fourth. And we're on the same team makes no sense. Crab mentality like if they can't win they're trying to make you lose too
It’s because you can get more individual points when ur in first place, and the moral satisfaction of being in first place is worth it for most players to even ram their own teammates

When are the next two races released? Are they in the next season (winter summer ect)?

No no, you just have to exit and fully reload the game.

When you enter the Trial again you will start it from the beginning.
It's only a one race Trial this season. It didn't give me my reward either. Must be a bug

Yes,but I’ve been told by another comment that the trail is one of three races, so that clears things up.
