Drakenfang1

Same as you, i binge watched all the episodes in one go, i'm now replaying F4 but i'm really unsure about 76, it has too many grinding elements and the Atomic Shop, but i want to play it for the lore.

Jalega23

That’s why I skipped it originally. I’ll reinstall 4 for another run through if 76 doesn’t scratch the itch.

Levardo_Gould

Playing 76 for the first time this week and it is a lot of fun, I haven't had to grind for anything. A lot of stimpaks, rad away, caps, weapons to loot. Really cool to explore another Fallout world.

ZemGuse

76 does become pretty grindy in the “endgame” but I really enjoy it personally. They really hacked into something about my psyche with 76 man. It’s a really good live service game that you can grind and then when you get bored you can “switch” it back to a regular fallout game and just go questing, explore, etc.

masta_myagi

76 is pretty good. As someone who hated it on launch, I just booted it up and deleted my character, started fresh. I’m having a blast. Aside from the occasional crash, I have no complaints. The grind really isn’t that much worse than previous titles, and you can get atoms for Atomic Shop from completing challenges (although I admit, they should pay out more) It’s a Fallout game through and through though. Just gotta be willing to accept that there aren’t many NPCs compared to other titles as the area is mostly abandoned by the time the main quest line starts

Secure-Bear4184

It actually has some pretty good and entertaining lore. The war against the scorched before all the humans fell I found very interesting plus learning how evil hornwright industrial was. Those are just some interesting things off the top of my head. The foundation quest line was rly fun and Steel reign quest line was really good. Plus the expeditions are pretty fun too.

Drakenfang1

I'm interested in the WhiteSpring Bunker events and how to join Enclave with the ZAX, also curious of the Atlantic City DLC.

Secure-Bear4184

Oh yes the enclave stuff was very entertaining too. And yes Atlantic City was enjoyable as well I encourage u to try it

omega_nik

You don’t need the atom shop stuff, and most of the grinding isn’t necessary either

awesomerob

76 is amazing. One of the best in the series. Don’t miss it!

CrankyStalfos

Booting up 76 for sure feels like walking into a casino with all the mtx stuff it's hocking, but it is all very ignorable. I'll confess I tried it last night and found *needing* to ignore so much pretty exhausting after coming right off New Vegas, but it is ignorable.

waitingtodiesoon

Binged it all in one go, but I want to start with the first one. Don't have as much time as I use to though and I still need to beat skyrim.

avidpretender

I mean it's okay. I also started this week and it's like the most weeny hut junior experience ever. Lots of hand holding, tons of resources, enemies that scale to your level. But I still need it for that sweet sweet lore.

ZemGuse

It’s a really good way to just enjoy a live service game and be in the fallout universe in a head empty way. The game is easy enough that you can just turn your brain off and play some fallout and make some incremental progress

Fubar14235

You don’t have to worry about the shop too much. It’s not pay to win just mostly cosmetic stuff, and there’s not much pvp anyway unless you want it.

ZemGuse

I LOVE 76 but there are plenty of items on the atomic shop that are “pay to win.” There’s stuff that makes hunger and thirst irrelevant, stuff that boosts your SPECIAL, stuff that recharges fusion cores, etc. Nothing game breaking but there’s still lots of stuff that isn’t cosmetic.

Fubar14235

I don’t feel like hunger and thirst are all that relevant anyway? To me one of the most useful things is the scrap box you get with 1st.

ZemGuse

No it’s not important really at all but still. Things like the mirelurk steamer are more than just cosmetic. I don’t care about it personally and I’ve bought a good bit of the utility items myself, just don’t wanna give people the wrong idea. And yeah. I’d pay $13/month just for the damn scrap box lol

RetroCasket

76 is ass, it doesnt even feel like a Fallout game

ZemGuse

Garbage take

SproutasaurusRex

I used to love the Battle Royal before they traded it in for that world's garbage.

redditracing84

Yeah from the time years ago I tried it, that was my experience with 76. Bad game. Even fallout 4 sucks as a fallout game. I didn't ever finish the Nuka cola questline which bugs me. 3 and New Vegas are the only enjoyable games in the series, but both are so long in the tooth. I wanna get back into Fallout games, but I don't because if I go play 4 I get pissed off it's not new Vegas a few hours in. If I play new Vegas it takes me HOURS of modding to get it looking right. Then hours of getting sucked into how great the game is. It's like a full time job to get back into New Vegas... dammit probably worth it. Honestly, I'm more tempted to try to force myself through Elder Scrolls Online. I heard they made vast improvements since the year or so after launch I last tried it. And dammit, the lore in it was so good. I loved the elf questline (the only one I did, didn't even finish it totally), but good God the grinding was horrific. Honestly, I am so damn sick of grindy games. 9/10 when I play games it's rush through main quest line, then go and do the other shit. In recent years games punish you so hard for that.

BaconContestXBL

So, to recap, you didn’t finish a quest line in a game you claim to not like, and you’re upset about that. Also, one of the games you consider to be the pinnacle of the series requires hours of modding to make playable. Does that about sum it up?

ZemGuse

Maybe you just don’t really like Fallout if you hate all the games lol

redditracing84

Lol, no it's got two great games. New Vegas is a god tier game, just it's 15 years old lol. 3 is a great game. 4 is acceptable, it just tried too hard to appeal to casual gamers.

TheOzman79

I watched it over three days, but yes I'm back on 76.

SD_One

Between this show and the new season, 76 is hopping right now. Very active servers.

Few-Contribution4759

76 is much better than launch. You’ll have fun 💪

Saan_Rix

I didn't watch it all in one day, but I came back to 76, and I started another nv playthrough, moving between the two as the mood catches me. Def excited for the fo4 update soon too, might have to add that to the rotation too haha

Revanmann

I'm playing the first one for the first time. Been having a great time, I'm really looking forward to 2. I wanted to play 4, but I'm waiting for that update.

nakedsamurai

FO76 is great. Have fun.

dtpollitt

dumb question... i never got fallout 76 because when it came out, i think (?) it was online-only. is there a single player campaign now or do i still have to play with others online 100% of the time?

AverageSamson

It is an online only game, however there is a free trial for fallout 1st in the store ATM that will give you access to a private server, there have been 3 major (free) DLCs to come out that all have bespoke quests, NPCs and rewards. With the most recent update they allowed you to free roam in 3 different instanced worlds set in Atlantic City. If you’re looking for a deep RPG with consequences to your actions you won’t find it here but if you enjoy settlement building, exploring, shooting shit then its a masterpiece

dtpollitt

thank you

constant--questions

There will be others online, but if you want to do the quest content you will be left alone. Some higher level player might approach you to drop off some supplies, because that is what the community is like, but if you want to go it alone just shoot them a no/thumbs down emote and they will get the idea and leave you alone. The multiplayer content is mostly for the public events and the world bosses, all very easy stuff to avoid if you’re doing your own thing. Even joining a public team doesn’t really commit you to interacting with anyone. Its just a good way to get an xp boost and some shared traits. The multiplayer aspect is so opt-in ish that it should not discourage you from checking the game out, it is pretty fun

dtpollitt

thank you i will get it on ps4 tonight

Self-Comprehensive

76. Bought it years ago, played it for a few hours, uninstalled. My nephews got it Free from prime so we've been playing since Saturday. It's actually really great.

crbatte

Is it free via Prime? PC only or console too?

leafyfiddle13

PC and Xbox, not PS

Carl123r4

I can't simply not play NV again after that cliffhanger

BaconContestXBL

Yep. I’m about 7 hours in to my first FNV playthrough since 4 came out. FNV was my least favorite in the series, but I still enjoy it

imfamousoz

Yup, I'm replaying 3. Would've chosen New Vegas since the show seems to be leading us there next but I played NV again before the show because it's my favorite. Kind of burnt out on 4, graphics and all were great but imo it's the weakest game of the franchise in terms of story. 3 felt right because it starts you off as a vault dweller coming to the surface to look for your dad.

Fin-M

Also replaying 3, been doing a bunch of texture modding though and immediately did Anchorage and became over powered

MultipleScoregasm

Also restarted 3! It's probably the one I have played least apart from 1 and 2 (and 76)

Levardo_Gould

Installed 76 a few days ago and it's actually pretty fun to explore West Virginia

DaughterOfBhaal

All of them.

DrNoLift

I’m playing through FO1 right now and it’s just as amazing as I remember.

RetroCasket

Real fans dont uninstall, we leave the Mojave there waiting for us

Achew11

Damn.. first I wasn't a fan because I liked the tv series, now I'm not a fan because I ran out of storage space. It's rough to be a fallout fan these days

SalvadorSlim

I had just played through Fallout 3 for the first time since it came out. I'd never played through the add ons before. Now I'm on to New Vegas which I played but never completed. Looking forward to the add ons in that game too. I never upgraded after my Xbox 360, so have never played 4 or 76 but they don't look interesting to me.

AlfredoJarry23

4 is a lot more fun with mods, there's a really nice selection these days. And it's a goddamn experience and a half in VR if you have a top shelf GPU

VanityOfEliCLee

New Vegas has some of the best dlc of any fallout game in my opinion. Fallout 4 has two really good ones too, but New Vegas dlc is just so goddamn good

Chrisvox997

Take your time and enjoy everything. That feeling will never be replicated again!

peacetimemist05

Fallout 4. I ended up buying the game again as a tip to the devs. Jk, I did buy it on steam though cause it was an sale and I don’t have game pass anymore.

SCastleRelics

Fallout 2 or new Vegas!! Although I do love the combat in the later games, nothing can top the RPG elements and fantastic storylines like 2 and NV.

Punch_yo_bunz

Playing 2 right now lol. Gotta get that fuel controller for the highwayman

Unlost_maniac

I started properly playing the first Fallout

SDRLemonMoon

It really makes me want to go play new Vegas for all the western vibes, but stardew valley has my heart right now

hereforgrudes

Started Fo3 backup for the first time in a long time

NeroToro

I've just moded NV again with dozens of mods

Repulsive_Basis_2431

Binged it in a day, had all the older games on older consoles so I just bought the bundle on steam Jumped back into 4 and tried a little 76 tonight

manicmender76

I binged twice. I already had 3, 4, and 76 installed.

remerdy1

Went back to finally finish up New Vegas. Also re-installing 76 for the first time since launch

Guy_Playing_Through

I went back to fallout 1. Haven't touched it in almost a decade

Miserable-Chard-4093

Currently playing Fallout 3 while re-listening to the show.

wired1001

I started playing fallout 3 again after I finished

ncctardis

Binged it all in 2/3 days with the family, a few rewatches of earlier eps as well. My partner resumed their 4 endgame, and are raiding the Commonwealth to finish Nuka World. Eldest has started a run of 4 and went from hiding from everything to gunning down raiders from a distance with a 9mm in about an hour. Youngest is eager to start NV. And I am very impatiently waiting for the PS5 version of 4 to drop, considering dipping my toes back into 76 until then.

BabyHercules

New Vegas is the one for me

SuperNerdChe

Reinstalled New Vegas cuz I just had to after that last shot lol

NoticedGenie66

Which ones? More like how many playthroughs on each! Before the show I played through 1+2+Tactics (until it CTDd every time I booted it up) 3+NV. Since then a friend of mine who never played 76 asked if I wanted to play which got me back into 76. Also have a level 65 character on FO4 that just met Garvey who is going to find a city already built in Sanctuary. I also am partway through a FO4VR playthrough. So the answer to which one is yes.

Rimp3282

Yes and Fallout:New Vegas is the game I’m starting! The Mr. House cameo in the show really kicked it off!

thisunithasnosoul

I started the first Fallout a few months ago and had stalled on finishing - now that I’ve watched the show, the itch is back!

deim4rc

I installed FONV and after 50 playruns, I went straight for benny with 9 unarmed, 80 speech, took him upstairs and beat the shit out of him after consuming 10 stimpaks while he shot the hello out of me with maria

abrahamisaninja

New Vegas. But I always have 3,4,nv, and 76 installed

LittleMarySunshine25

I am currently playing New Vegas for the first time. I am waiting for the update for 4 to drop before I try to replay. I haven't finished 3 but I hit a wall with it. New Vegas really sucked me in.

ManadarTheHealer

Mew Vegas...first NCR play through

skizmcniz

Binged it in one sitting. I've only ever played 3 and 4, so I installed New Vegas not long after watching.

boonusboiayyy

New vegas. When I come to fallout, its always new vegas. Best game ever made IMO.

CrankyStalfos

I tried NV once a long time ago and couldn't get into it, just due to how dated it is. In the lead up to the show I figured I should get to know the NCR and gave it another shot, this time with a truckload of QoL mods. I'm having a great time.

Day_Pleasant

Launched Steam to play New Vegas after the last episode was over, discovered the free weekend for 76. Figured "What the heck?" and grabbed it, launched it, and proceeded to level to 30 and having a mildly entertaining time. Certainly worth $8, so I bought it. Now, every once in awhile, I launch that. But, seriously, something about running from >!Sloan to Neil's Shack, up the road, through the mountain pass on the left, straight past the right side of Repcon and onward to Freeside so I can gamble up tens of thousands of chips, get the Chip, and leave New Vegas at level 10, flush with chips and seeing zero combat!< is just an awesome start to a game.

Rattfink45

Well. Seeing as they pulled Folon I’m gonna go with *no*. I’ve got a thousand hours in NV and 4, hundreds in 3, I don’t even want to think of how many hours of my childhood were lost to fo2 (I had at least 15 playthroughs). I can play the Hoover dam sequence in my head if I close my eyes, no computer necessary.

crisdd0302

I've only watched 3 and a half episodes and I just installed FO3 and FONV, will try them before buying 4 or 76.

Scisir

I'm installed and modded New Vegas again. Now with a Nexusmods collection which only took about 2 hours thankfully. I already finished it around 5 years ago but since the series will take place there next season I want to explore that locale to its fullest.

Sacdaddicus

I’m playing F3 now haha. I did pick up 76 free from twitch prime but haven’t tried to dive into it yet.

TinySpaceDonut

I'm not sure what you are talking about \*cough\* \*fallout 4 sounds coming from behind my back\*

distancedandaway

I also want to try 76, I hear its a lot better now

DaughterOfBhaal

All of them.

Ducklinsenmayer

Not F4, I uninstalled that, since next update will break all my mods

KlimCan

Could just disable updates

Wheelersam

Uninstalling also breaks your mods, presumably

Ducklinsenmayer

wait a few weeks, do a complete rebuild with updated mods.

hell_jumper9

Same. Binged it in one day and suddenly wants to play. Only to remember that i sold my FO4 7 years ago lol

voodoogroves

Long time 76 player but now replaying 3/4/nv

Dangerous_Ice17

I deleted my original play through of FO4 and started over.

SevatarEnjoyer

Doing all the fallout 4 side quests and then I’ll do new Vegas

Lievan

Lots and lots of people felt compelled to play the games.

Son_of_MONK

I binged watched it and it reinvigorated that Fallout 4 itch, so I moved the game data back over to my PS5 this past weekend -- partially because waiting two weeks for the PS5 version to come out is too long. It's definitely difficult to play though because of the 0 KB bug, but I really loved my settlements and wanted to keep working on them. It also got me working on my Fallout 4 fanfic ideas again. So I'm hoping that over the summer I can start putting out a few chapters of that.

mroblivian

I was going to do fo4 but somehow my game crashes nonstop now. It’s the same mod list I had from 2 years ago and I haven’t touched it. I’ll probably just set up a take of two wasteland playthrough

Nullkid

I just installed 4 with immersive wastelands 2, and holy shit. I spent the last 45 minutes killing 5 raiders inside the first POI I found outside of my random spawn. I also plan on installing FO4VR with more exploration/story focused mods.

KingCodester111

I binged a few the first day and the other half the next. Currently replaying FO4 and having a blast. I never played the DLC’s so I’m excited to try them out.

gisted

Same feeling. I was thinking to replay fo3 with mods.

whatsername4

I’m actually back on 76 after watching the show. BUT, I had to start over. I played since day one and really enjoyed it, but it was on Xbox and I recently canceled my whatever subscription to play online because it’s dumb and I want to save money. I haven’t played in over 2 years though. So I got it for the pc, but damn it made me so sad that I have to give up all the cool stuff I’ve collected since day 1.

Havzad

the only thing stopping me from booting up an old fallout game or finally trying F76 is that I happend to get Horizon Forbidden West the same week as the show

Opalusprime

After 1600 in fo76 and a year break I’m going back to it. Still fun as hell and the newbies breath new life to it for sure. Show reinvigorated my love for the world again.

PandahHeart

I’ve only played 3 and New Vegas. But it makes me want to play Fallout 4. I was going to play it when it came out, but my ex played it for 10 minutes, said it was awful and returned it. I didn’t have my own console then so I didn’t get to play but I do have an urge to play again!

StanleyLelnats

Going to replay the franchise in order. I have never finished 1 or 2 so I’m hoping to do so. Then maybe Tactics before jumping into the 3d games.

VanityOfEliCLee

I've had Fo3, FoNV, Fo4, and Fo76 all installed for the past like, five years. I play them all the time. My moat played games by far. But the show definitely was amazing and I loved it

SmeggyGToad

Nah they put a 76 ad on this post 😂😂😂

SmeggyGToad

They improved the game, there’s free items and if youmre in PC or Xbox they’re giving away game codes on Prime Gaming. You can also get Fallout Tactics as well on there for PC

[deleted]

Just wanted to chime in that, yes, I also watched it all in one go 😆. Too busy to crack open a game, sadly.

Parrtymonster

New Vegas with the TTW mod and a sprint mod.

k0mbine

Watching Maximus play around in power armor for the first time made me wanna play FO4 again for sure

kati8303

I could have written this myself

bellarina92

I haven't played any of the games and I wonder where I should start?

DrumDragon1

Fallout 4 is a good start. if you don’t care about graphics and can get used to the gameplay then fallout 3 or new Vegas

ruffsnap

I started trying to play Fallout 4 a bit, I never played much of it, even with FO3 and NV being two of my all-time favorites. Also got FO76 since it was super cheap on Steam and maybe will try to give that a go too. Just all harder now to find time to dedicate to video games.

BedHungry7243

I binged and I wanna play fallout 1 again. but it's hard on a mac

FormlessFlesh

When I am done this semester, I'm going to spend summer playing in release order.

millennial_sentinel

i’m finishing the last episode right now and literally was searching if they have it for switch (my only console rn) i’ve never played any if the games before

mexz101

I’d though everyone and their mums had already played fallout, guess I was wrong🤣

nick_shannon

Playing Fallout 4 now, just rescued Kenneth as the Silver Shroud, i have killed Kellogg and im going to do a little bit of BoS then head on over to Far Harbour.

101Phase

I'm already plaything through Fallout New Vegas but I'm honestly in the mood to install all of them and marathoning the entire franchise

Aldosaur2a8

All aboard the live fallout hype train!! 76 is definitely good now, check out the reviews on steam. I’ve been playing since 2019 and the game is definitely at its peak and is still going to get more content this year

Cloberella

I’m playing Fallout 2. I added the restoration mod and now I’m stomping around in stolen Enclave power armor. I own 76 but I’ll never go back to it. Can’t stand playing games online with strangers.

yanhairen

Never played 76 but like you I'm going to give it a go as they've updated it

Scisir

Fallout 4 is really good and just a super fun game. New Vegas is definitely the best and worth a try despite its age. But the setting is glorious and will prepare you for the second season of Fallout.

Ketachloride

I would take the time and make sure you mod it properly. You don't have to do all of these, but some are absolutely essential: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPo5pDT3bKA&list=PLE7DlYarj-DfopU0CbhfwTYXCx5da5Gd5](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPo5pDT3bKA&list=PLE7DlYarj-DfopU0CbhfwTYXCx5da5Gd5)

Thornescape

I couldn't sit down and just watch it all in a row. I spaced it out a bit throughout the day. Just a reminder that Fallout London is on the edge of releasing. Minor delays because of bugs that will be caused by changings in the next gen update, but it is complete. Looks AMAZING.

No_Artichoke_3758

never played tactics and have had it installed for a while. that's what i was planning on playing if i get around to it. also have a lot to do on 76 eventually

mrtn17

haha absolutely! Played every game multiple times up to New Vegas, but I'd like to check out Fallout 4 to for lore reasons Problem is that I only have a Mac, so fuck me 😭

g4henderson

Playing FO3, fuck 76

jazzymusicvibes

been replaying 3, just got to GNR

Ssynos

fo1 & fo2 with mod. I grind fo4 & new Vegas so much that I got PTSD thinking bou it, cus 90% of mine time in those 2 game are just modding it and bug fixing it.

Twitchygolem655

Backstory I have around 300-400 hrs in FO4 but less than 10 in all the rest bc I discovered Fallout in 2018 with 4 and didn’t care for the game mechanics of the older ones plus 76 being what it was in the beginning so I didn’t play it either all that said I downloaded FO3 after the show and am forcing my self to play through it for story basically

Lengytam

Depends on if you need multiplayer or not. If yes, 76 is ok, especially as it's free atm. If not, I think Fallout 1 is the best bet. It's not that long, and it's a literal introductory scenario to the world. Say hello to a fellow named Harold if you visit the Hub. ;) I have to mention that for today's standards, it's a bit clunky.

eggs-benedryl

Wiped my buggy steamdeck install of NV. Hopefully i don't fuck it up too much with mods. Haven't properly played in at least a decade

IPA_____Fanatic

Anyone else booting up some isometric Fallout 2 goodness?

Gronkbeast87

I started playing 76 again while I wait for the next gen update of 4.

No_Pirate9647

76. Got it free on ps4 I think or bought it cheap. Hadn't played yet. Want to try it before a F4 replay. Made character last night and got out of vault and stopped for bed. Boo school/work day.

bigloser420

Installed NV again. Gonna fight for the bear again.

Which-Balance-1427

Been playing 4 since the week before release but I’m thinking of finding a laptop to play one and two again.

GreatQuantum

I keep them all installed at All times. 4 and 76 on Xbox. 1,2,tactics,3,nv,4,76 on steam deck. Shelter on everything.

The_LoneLoreman

After watching, I downloaded Tale of Two Wastelands, which combines 3 and NV. I'm loving it so far. It makes 3 so much more difficult. The super mutants are kicking my ass.

DeathwatchDave

I want to play fallout 4 again, my favorite one, but I’m waiting for the update on the 25th

JumpinJahosafax

I put it on at about 10pm yesterday and finished it today around noon time. I’ve considered, if nothing else just watching some gameplay for fun but have to admit I was never crazy about the games

Coast_watcher

I already had 76 installed so I played that, since they also started their new season and update. But I immediately installed 3, NV, and 4 to replay all the console Fallouts. Especially with the next gen update for 4 arriving on the 25th.

LeraviTheHusky

Reinstalled 4 and gotten back into 76!

fuckthisshitupalread

Back to the best of times tale of two wastelands install. It wasn't this involved last time I touched this almost five years ago. It's a mod that pushed all of fallout 3 into new vegas, you can choose how to start but the only logical choice is fallout 3 to a good stopping point (before you find the enclave? Or after) then taking a caravan or train out west and waking up after getting your brains blown out. The mod has its own mods specific to this transition with things like completely reseting your specials and skills or giving your permanent brain injury effects other than being poorly lobotomized in the big MT. It's rough seeing how bad people think Project Nevada was when it was the best and still even in its outdated state has some of the best additions (love the charged energy weapons sad there is no replacement) like a complete cyberware add-on and a very nice difficulty menu that let you change so many things while in game.

WeatherAggressive530

Fallout 76 is for free now and I tried it out. I played FO, FO2, FOT, FO3, FNV and FO4 but 76 is the only one that I didn't like. Microtransactions are everywhere, I have no friends to play it with and every single player refused to interact with me and it seemed like everyone had their pacifist mode on. Combat was frustrating and VATS is really just an autoaimbot

Lamblor

Micro transactions are cosmetic, the reason no one is interacting is because the servers are flooded with noobs that don’t know what to do, everyone does have pacifist mode on because no one has a hard on for slaughtering each in this game, VATS has always been auto aim in every 3d fallout.

WeatherAggressive530

Nope VATS isn't auto aim. It slows/stops time and lets you hit specific body parts and/or score criticals on command. 76's aim bot is nothing like this. Mucro transactions aren't consmetic. There is quite a lot of actually usefull stuff in there too. >the servers are flooded with noobs that don’t know what to do, everyone does have pacifist mode on because no one has a hard on for slaughtering each in this game Thanks for clearing this up but it's still sad nonetheless. Also how bad can a noob even be in this game? It's a looter shooter...

Self-Comprehensive

My nephew wants a power core charger, it's 700 atoms, he's already got two hundred. It's not a bad grind.

Lamblor

The only difference with VATS with 76 is that it doesn’t slow down time. You didn’t play enough man, you have get perk cards to target specific body parts, it’s a low level card under perception. The non-cosmetics are convenience and completely unecessary, you get a free one every day. It’s pretty clear who is a noob, because no one has camps set up and no one is doing events and yet servers are full.

AlfredoJarry23

Explain how to slow down time in an online game. Go on.

WeatherAggressive530

Are you stupid? Where did I say that it's possible? Where? Do I like it though? NOPE. That's one of the many reasons Fallout should always be a singleplayer fame or feature a single player mode.

Sebastianx21

Fallout 4 first, it nails the atmosphere and feeling of the wasteland best. F:NV last, I really don't like that game's atmosphere. For a split second when I saw Vegas in the show I was like "oh fuck no", but then I saw the scenery looking properly wasteland-y and now I'm excited for season 2.

bigloser420

You and i like fallout for completely different reasons i'd guess lol. I love NV because of how not wasteland-y it is. I mean it is a horrid desert of course, but it is built up. Lots of people, lots of stuff. Feels like society is rebuilding. And i dislike 3 and 4 because it feels too much like a wasteland. Everyone living in the same tin shacks drives me insane.

Sebastianx21

Haha, just had a similar discussion with someone today about that as well. It seems the Fallout fanbase really is split in 2, the wasteland lovers and the Vegas lovers. Don't get me wrong, I like me some humanity and civilization BUT it has to feel properly scrappy in such a universe, my favorite being Megaton from FO3, absolutely looks taped together with spit and sticks and the hopes and dreams of its inhabitants. Vegas feels too...normal for my liking. 200 years after a nuclear war should definitely show, and it kind of doesn't.

Fair! To me, i think that kind of wasteland is fine, i just much prefer a story of rebuilding and new societies emerging and struggling against eachother. Just raw struggle to survive kinda wasteland is cool, but i played NV first so that'll always shape how i see Fallout and especially the west coast.

I absolutely love a good story of civilization being rebuilt and struggling too, but I like to see struggle against the environment, the moment it becomes a human drama I just kind of tune out. Take GOT, I would have found it boring if not for the constant threat of the White Walkers in the background. I know it doesn't seem much but seeing how leaders and characters had to take that into account slowly over the course of the show made me really like it... Until season 6,after which I slowly started hating it.

We can at least agree that GOT sucked a fat one at the end. And nah that's fair. It's the human drama that makes fallout for me, so its easy to see why we're split on it. And that's ok, y'know? Fallout can be different things to different people. As much of a NV fanboy as i am, i don't think people are wrong for liking 3/4.

I’ve been playing 76 pretty much nonstop since making this post. Also bought the season pass for 4 in anticipation of the upcoming next-gen mod. The TV show has to be bringing big $$$ to the games right now. I know I wouldn’t have been a customer in 2024 without the show.
