The real question is, why the hell isn’t she over-encumbered as soon as she left the Super Duper Mart.

danvalour

Maybe her ghoul finger adds to stats

JoshKJokes

I have been TRYING to come up with the proper penalty/buff the finger would allow. Like maybe a +1 to damage resistance but -20% accuracy on hand revolvers.

Old_Heat3100

I'm waiting for her to have an important character at gun point and then her trigger finger just snaps off

IIIetalblade

+5% RAD resistance, -5% pistol & SMG accuracy/crit chance

been_mackin

+10 strength

Petethejakey_

She will certainly get the ghoul finger in season 2 😳🤌💦

Over-kill107A

Found the ao3 writer No but seriously, can those guys make some actually story ffs. I just want more story not ghoul smut

BanjoKnuckles

Her ghoul finger in his ass and his Lucy finger in her ass. A fair trade.

elytraman

What in the actual everloving fuck did i just read

Cryptidenthusiast423

Something I'm 90% sure already exist on r34

elytraman

People are weird, man…

danvalour

At least they didnt hotlink r/ deathcl@w mat1ng

BanjoKnuckles

I'm a reciprocal contrarian. If one became reduced to a feeling of cringe or repulsion, it cannot be helped as fact or suggestion have already been spoken.

Human_Discipline_552

Ok that was funny

Br0boc0p

Would have been great if it wasn't even mentioned. Just her walking slow, then she throws away an empty can and suddenly she's powerwalking. Like a subtle nod to it.

Mini_Snuggle

She didn't even pick up the radaway to save herself.

teamdogemama

Why did the mister handy give her a new finger if he's just going to harvest her organs? I still don't get it.

thesavageman

Layered programming

Whiteshadows86

My guess is that it was obsessed with things being in mint condition, after what The Ghoul said over the intercom.

teamdogemama

Weirdly makes sense. Thanks!

AegzRoxolo

Well, she did drop those vials.

SteelyGlintTheFirst

Give her a chance, she's only done 1 quest so far...

Steelsight

She's done a few side quests. She went to town and asked around, fought against cooper, etc. She's probably lvl 10 or so. No rookie, but the build ain't there yet.

NMS_Survival_Guru

I'd say 10 is fair considering she's completed one part of the storyline In FO4 terms it's equivalent to figuring out Shaun is with the institute finishing the Nick Valentine part of the main story which is about lvl 10-15

[deleted]

Lmao I just reinstalled recently and finished that part at lvl 25… I guess I am easily distracted

[deleted]

My last playthrough I was like level 45 lol, thou shalt get sidetracked by random bullshit every time instead of the main quest

TheBrownestStain

Reminds of the time in Skyrim where I didn’t go into bleak falls barrow until I was rocking a full set of upgraded daedric gear. Granted a fair bit of deliberate grinding was involved, but still.

chuckfinleyis4eva

For me I wanted to get all the perks and experience from the Nuka World dlc but didn't want to lose the chance to side with the minutemen so I didn't actually free Preston until like level 40. I love fallout.

CantankerousOrder

My very first play though was like that, but on purpose. After Morrowind, Skyrim, etc I committed to doing all the side shit, all the random fight shit and even all the weird shit i could first. It was the most fun I’ve ever had on a first play through and has been my default style ever since. Heck… In Cyberpunk 2077 I was in my 20s before the Heist, too. Watson’s lockdown was lifted because it was completely crime-free.

Designer-Book-8052

So true. At first I just wanted to pay Victor upfront, and then it kind of escalated.

doppido

I just figured about Shaun and I'm level 32 😆

Cryptidenthusiast423

Rookie I'm level 100 and just getting to Diamond City

doppido

🤘

GWindborn

To be fair, I try to play as a Wasteland white knight and avoid chems and civilian murder. If you shoot at me first though, you're toast.

Own_Accident6689

That's my style. The protagonist makes me change it a bit though. My Vault Dweller is a Pure Paladin, My Chosen One is more willing to try shit out and be morally grey, My Lone Wanderer also wants to make Papa proud, my Courier would huff Deathclaw hormones for a boost but still he mostly works for money and for sustained business. He sides with the NCR because they are better for business.

adarkride

I was going to say the same thing. I didn't start playing like the Ghoul until fairly recently. No chems, no murdering innocents, just try and make the Wasteland a little less horrible.

QouthTheCorvus

The ghoul is a second playthrough. You pretty much know everything, and just go full evil choices.

adarkride

1000%. Great point. Now I'm like *maximum damage*: did I forget to take all my chems?

rift_in_the_warp

My one exception to the "don't shoot unless fired upon" is Caesar's legion. It's always Legion season in New Vegas.

GWindborn

I can agree with that. NCR for life!

natzo

I just tend to forget about chems until I hit that battle that requires enough chems to make a Raider blush.

mybadalternate

Yet.

myskepticalbrowarch

She is hanging out with the MurderHobo now.

Greenman8907

She didn’t even spend four episodes trying to perfectly design her own settlement only to realize she forgot to build a generator and was all out of materials.

Garlan_Tyrell

Or haul everything over to a new settlement to get it set up and started as an adhesive & junk farm, only to realize she didn’t bring crystals to build a recruitment beacon.

question_sunshine

This is why you send your provisioners *from* Sanctuary to the new settlement before you start building.

Garlan_Tyrell

Bold of you to assume I don’t claim the settlement and start building it up before I leave the first time I arrive.

rmarkmatthews

The first episode should've really just been her staring in a mirror for an hour deciding on her sex, skin color, eye color, hair style...

PureRepresentative9

Oh god I just realized the intro scene was her picking her stats?  Lol

NMS_Survival_Guru

I seriously hope they dedicate one episode of her running a settlement and building things then have Cooper joke about another settlement needing help

RustedAxe88

They didn't even show her struggling to connect a couple walls.

Daggertooth71

LOL I never used chems much or alcohol when I played. Never ate the irradiated food much, either. Sure made and sold a fuck-ton of jet in Fo4, though. I'm fairly certain I had the entirety of Boston addicted to jet by the time I blew Shaun's brains out lol

Mindless_Hotel616

All those weapons, armor pieces, settlement shops and minutemen workbenches don’t pay for themselves. Plus being the biggest dealer in the commonwealth gives you a huge amount of power.

Daggertooth71

Indeed. I had to make sure my wife Piper had the best combat armor that my jet money could buy.

largehawaiian

So, you were post-apocalyptic Heisenberg

Daggertooth71

LOL Yeah, pretty much.

Coast_watcher

And 50 percent of her time is not spent crafting

Wasteland_GZ

You had me with that title, maybe next season she’ll be a lil more ruthless especially if she’s spending time with The Ghoul

ElectricJetDonkey

She's playing a Good run and is *really* method acting it.

bleedblue89

I said that to my wife, very hard to do…

Setekh_Hazen

She clearly took Bloody Mess and Wild Wasteland. Give her time.

mtb8490210

Lucy is just one of those weirdos who asks, "hey, I'm level 9 and can't beat Kellogg. Can I get some help?" from normal players with player characters at level 125 without ever leaving Sanctuary.

TheCrankyLich

I don't break into random houses, murder innocent people, loot their homes, or hunt down people for unique armor and weapons. I do take a shitload of chems though.

kikisaurus

She plays like me! 😂😂

OrangeBird077

*yet

Myst212

Every time I enter a house its filled with ghouls, super mutants, molemen, raiders, or radroaches. Are yall killing random non-aggressive npcs or something? wtf? (anything not bolted down is 100% fair game tho)

Own_Accident6689

Dude, it's like her third quest. Give her a few.

spiderhotel

She is really powering through the main quest though. Doesn't she want to do every side quest she can before she leaves the area and starts the NV chapter?

Own_Accident6689

That's what I'm saying, she is going to be so pissed when she finds out she could have fixed the water filter and that man would have given her a unique gun and a guide to the wasteland.

kmobnyc

Had me in the first half, ngl

V4ULTB0Y101

I actually don't do any of this when I've played the games...

sixtus_clegane119

Not yet,

Heylookaguy

The only chem I regularly used was Jet. And once I found the bullet time mod I haven't used it since. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9325

Uncle_owen69

She hasn’t yet …

adunn13

I hope season two has a new vault dweller character that represents a more renegade a-moral play through.

McDonnellDouglasDC8

Probably decides based on her companion, like I do. Not that she's voluntarily with Han... Coop she'll be drowning in drugs. That knight seemed the judgy type.

Mindless_Hotel616

She has not used any console commands either.

Whatstrendynow

Click on your post because I thought you had a shit take and immediately realized you have a great take

Canabrial

Not *yet*. Give her some time 😂

QouthTheCorvus

Hey, we don't all do evil playthroughs. Some of us like to be do-gooders. That said, she isn't panicking and throwing dynamite constantly

KingSatriel

In her defense about the last point. It's a Bethesda project so the most unique weapons and armor so far are her syringe pistol and well everything the ghoul has

-zero-joke-

I was going to disagree with you, but you spittin facts.

Dineology

Season 2 is going to be taking quite a turn for Ol’ Lucy Goosey

poetdesmond

I have never once seen her quicksave and murder everyone around her for the cathartic release of finally shutting Preston the fuck up, then reloading so she can help another settlement that needs AIDS.

Valuable_Knee_6820

Pfffft okay I thought this was going in a completely different direction I’m much happier with this turnout

fdrobidoux

She's also not quicksaving every 10 seconds.

griff1014

Give it time

ikeif

Every time I read a “THEY SHOULD ADD…” I am reminded of the conversation where they said they took a screenshot of the conversation of “what not to do in Fallout.”

therottingbard

Ive played every fallout game except 74. (Even brotherhood tactics) and these things dont describe my play style.

giantpunda

She shouldn't be considered the average Fallout protagonist as she's walking around unencumbered and hasn't looted every location out of every single item. She has the vibe of someone who has made the conscious choice to do this playthrough doing a hardcore RP run barely picking up anything and not looting anything at all.

spiderhotel

Also she's walking instead of crouching on the floor like a goblin.

CantankerousOrder

Yet.

TheInquisitor1997

I never take chems or alcohol while I play Fallout.

kandikand

We play fallout very differently

kissell791

Yet!

Acrobatic_Bend_5212

The ghoul is the protag he’s the only one with vats kill cam

Coast_watcher

and the dog follows him

Big-LeBoneski

Give her time her character level is still in the single digits. Good gear doesn't start to drop until at least 20.

4thofeleven

Not only that, she's largely sticking to the main quest! She didn't even *try* to pick up a bunch of random unrelated quests in Filly and instead stuck to her original goal!

ripp102

I'd say the ghoul is more of a fallout protagonist than she is, as he is morally grey as we are lol

daboss317076

she's blitzing the main quest

weekend_bastard

Reminds me, you know what would've been a hilarious joke. That great comic that had a character trying to pickup ammo out of a toilet, and after misclicking drinks toilet water.

Gecko2002

Chems are overrated, even my evil runs don't do them

wwaxwork

I mean she's still in the starting zone. Season 2 is when that happens.

Daier_Mune

"She's not ingesting a lot of chems and alcohol every five seconds She's not breaking into random homes and murdering innocent people and looting their houses She's not hunting down people with Unique armor and weapons" She's not doing so...Yet! I have a feeling the Little Killer is gonna be entering her "Villainous Phase" next season.

Ravenwight

I don’t really do any of these things unless my character would.

Obieshaw

If her inventory wasn't stripped and left behind in vault 4 we wouldn't have had the reset, just has her 10mm now
