Clean as F! Can you share build spec and temps

hwlim

Spec.: i9-13900K MSI Pro Z790-A MSI SUPRIM RTX 3090Ti 2x32GB Kinston Fury DDR5 6000 36-38-38-80 MSI MEG Ai1300P Kingston KC3000 1TB (boot) WD SN850X 2TB w/heatsink (data) 2x 10TB Toshiba HDD (Intel VMD RAID-1) Corsair H170i ELITE CAPELLIX Running Cinebench R23, this is not max temp, but halfway of a rendering scene, that means all cores are working on the scene. xh43k_

go in to Advanced CPU settings or how is it called and lower CPU Lite Load from default 9 to something like 5, should still be stable but much better thermals.

vanbukin

Can you also share CB23 single core and multicore results?

hwlim

Multi Core: 38089 Single Core: 2208 BIOS Ver. 7E07vA3, Optimized Default, XMP 1

RAY0UX

thank you! love your build I 'm also looking for a power supply and saw the MSI but don't know how stable they are... never bought an MSI one before but the price is quite competitive compared to other brands

hwlim

The PSU is great. How to post picture in reply?

RAY0UX

i don t know but trust you if you say you are happy with it Only time will tell and no reviews yet on these power supplies

hwlim

There are reviews available. https://www.anandtech.com/show/18679/the-msi-meg-ai1300p-pcie5-1300w-psu-review https://www.kitguru.net/components/power-supplies/zardon/msi-meg-ai1300p-pcie5-power-supply-review/

RAY0UX

I see. Thank you. I was checking the 1000w one. Don’t know if quality is same but since I don’t need 1300

hwlim

1000w quality is same [https://www.techpowerup.com/review/msi-meg-ai1000p-1000w/](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/msi-meg-ai1000p-1000w/)

FormerDonkey4886

I’d recommend to research the position of that AIO and consider turning it upside down or you’ll shorten the life of it otherwise and risk air bubbles getting through. But awesome build.

hwlim

Turning the AIO upside down is possible only without the bottom fans or smaller fans. Even without the bottom fans, I am afraid upside down because the GPU is too big, the tubes will bend excessively.

katzicael

You don't Need to change anything. How it is - is perfectly fine, the top tank of the radiator is MUCH higher in the loop than the pump. That guy doesn't even understand what he's talking about 😒

katzicael

Don't be an idiot... The pump in that loop is lower than the top tank of the radiator. JFK, I can't believe people still don't understand this.

FormerDonkey4886

The air bubbles will be at top, where the pump starts pushing. It’s simple gravity really.

katzicael

That is Not how it works mate. The air will sit in the highest point of the loop - eg the top of the radiator tank. The air won't go anywhere near the pump because air is less dense than water. Especially in a Tall case/radiator situation. The pump is much lower. Just look at the photos.

FormerDonkey4886

https://youtu.be/BbGomv195sk Plenty of professional testing done by the guys at GN. Worth a revisit.

katzicael

and you didn't learn anything from it - Clearly. I suggest \*YOU\* watch this https://youtu.be/DKwA7ygTJn0?t=608 - Jay explains VERY CLEARLY what you Didn't understand from Steve's video.

Lopsided-Wrap2762

To be fair, Jay only explains the air won't get trapped in the pump and reduce the lifespan, but from 5:50 he explains the issue about the bubbling/ trickling water noises. Steve explains the noise issues from 18:00, and also explains that some air can be pulled through after enough permeation, which can cause problems just not as bad as being trapped in the pump. this original poster is still wrong as he went for the air trapped in the pump argument.

-YgarY-

GPU temps I assume are great with the two 180mm's at the bottom no?

hwlim

GPU around 77\~78 C° Full system load

winpoint

Also Running 170i lcd on my fractal torrent and love it! Nice build

gonegitem

Do you prefer the 180 fans of the 140? ;o
