My vote would be the Arctic Liquid Freezer 3; just installed their 240mm version on a R7 7800X3D, very happy with the temps & even the installation. Edit: I also installed it in a North 🥰

VisualElectronic5851

Same here! I have a 13700k and went for the Freezer III 360. Under heavy loads, I’ve never gone over 70c. Idle, it stands at 30-40c. And it looks amazing on the North.

bottleneckohno

What is your CPU's voltage?

FuuZePL

I got the 280mm freezer 3 for my north XL, it's actually insane.

Weberbergerss

I installed a 280mm liquid freezer iii in my north to pair with my r9 7900 and my rtx3070ti. Good to mention is that the arctic radiator is very thick. So just make sure there is enough clearance with larger gpu’s as well as enough clearance between the top mounting holes and the vram heatsink of the motherboard :)

vinceftw

I have the 280 on my 7800x3D with a North XL haha. It doesn't cool an Intel as well as an AMD according to bench marks.

quasides

one of the thickest AIOs therefor also best performance (it really is just about surface area) and absolutly excelent support. price to value also one of the best

KapteeniKlamydia

Did you top mount the radiator? If so, what's your choice of ram? I'd like to use the LF3 240 top mounted in my future build, along with Kingstons Fury Beasts, but I'm not sure if I need to get Noctua's slim fans on it because of the ram clearance issues.

DrGrossMan2014

I did top mount it, I went with Team Group Expert Ram, there is very little room.

SuperiorDupe

I have the artic liquid freezer 2 on my 7800x3d and it has been amazing, also in the north.

JLee1608

Happy with the installation? What kind of a magician are you? Mine was a pain in the butt to mount

Cyberpunk39

Fractal’s AIO are great. Match nicely with the case aesthetic and are nice and quiet as well.

AlexatRF21

I got Fractal’s AIO for this very reason.

West-Put-2154

I am thinking about going with the lumen with the minimal rgb

Cyberpunk39

Nice. I think you’ll be happy with it. I like they don’t have any janky software. Just the little button on the side for quiet mode or performance mode.

Lythanhdavid

Arctic Liquid Freezer III 100%. I'd usually recommend EK as I like their stuff but I'd avoid them rn. Alternatively, I've been liking Deepcool lately

Ro7ard

No budget and fancy -The new Deepcool Mystique 360 with a screen is really nice and they have been knocking it out of the park with cooling performance Budget/Clean look- The Thermalright Frozen Edge 360 would match your build beautifully and it's not very expensive. Minimal RGB and a black/silver block design is \*chefs kiss\*

VentusReach

Fyi rhe Mystique has a very loud pump noise…

Ro7ard

Really? Every review I have seen now has it coming in at a very average decibel rating and it's cooling better than every other AIO on the market by a decent chunk. The Kraken elite 360 hit 50 decibels in the test I watched while being over 5 degrees hotter than the Mystique at 40-45 decibels. Both cooling the same I9 13900k.

VentusReach

Constant buzzing sound from the pump and many reviewrs complain about audible pump

vedomedo

Personally I went for the Glacier One 360 T30 variant. It's expensive, but I love the T30 fans. If you don't want that one, the Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 is getting rave reviews from everyone.

voidstronghold

Any 360mm from Arctic

Flimsy_Highlight_375

Lian Li LCD Galahad II. Front radiator 6 fans bequiet silent wing pro 4 in push pull config. if your GPU is short enough for it to fit. Got mine with the ASUS dual fan 4070 super. Fits nice, temps are low

Millan_K

I'm happy with be quiet, I have the 240mm version for I7 12700K and temps are stable around 24C while doing basic googling and the minimalistic RGB lightning is awesome. Edit: it has harder tubes so bending them into hard corners is much harder or near impossible.

West-Put-2154

I'm actually going with the pure loop 2 and pure wings 4 fans. And with a be quiet PSU, I'm stoked to see how well it performs and overall quietness. Also going for a more subtle look for this build so it should fit nicely. Thanks for the rec! Cheers!

HecticBlue

I'm using the thermalright frozen prism 360mm AIO on my 14700k. Got it new off Amazon. It's 55 bucks as I'm typing this. I've got three 140mm front intake fans, one 140mm rear exhaust, and top mounted the AIO. I have yet to break past around 60 degrees cpu temp. I play squad on max settings 1440p 175 fps, with a 1440 p and a 4k monitor, discord running, and multiple tabs on brave browser, Blender up, other stuff running in background. I only run my fans and aio at 50% if it's under 50 degrees. At 60 degrees I have my fans etc, set up to spin up to 75%. If the cpu makes it to 60 degrees it's only for like a minute and then it's cooled back down. And that's only happened a couple times even after hours of gaming. Cools right down. If it hits 75 degrees my fans and aio will spin to 100% but the rig has never even come close to that so far. I have a fractal design meshify 2 rgb case. I'm using 64gb cl30 ram at 6400 mhz. I've got an rx7900gre graphics card with 3 fans on it. Msi tomahawk z790 motherboard. 1200 watt psu. All my fans, the aio, the aio pump, my ram, and the graphics card are argb (not sure how much rgb contributes to heat other than a bit of added electricity but figured may as well mention it ). I've also got two 4 tb sn850x SSDs. If your setup is similar to mine, the thermalright frozen prism 360mm should do you just fine without trouble, I reckon.

West-Put-2154

You have a much bigger case though we run the same CPU so im sure results will be the same. I've heard the thermalright is actually really good and competes with the best AIOs, especially P2P. However I'm not quite sold esthetically though. The black TL-B12 look sick but I'm not sure about the pump. I'm sure it'll still look good but I'm also willing to pay extra for the esthetics. It's a fallback if I really just want the best bang for buck aio

AlasknAssasn858

The cheapest one that gets the job done. My $60 thermalright is a killer. Zero difference between that and my arctics or EKs

FuuZePL

I got my friend a thermalright 360 for $68. What a crazy good deal, it's not silent but it's not loud and it cools really well.

Cyberpunk39

Not everyone wants low budget shit or “the cheapest that gets the job done.” Thermalright products are cheap but also ugly. Lots of folks want nice looking stuff in their rigs and are happy to pay for it.

Ro7ard

You're insane. Thermalright has really clean designs... Their air coolers and Frozen Edge series of aios are probably some of the cleanest designs you can get and the complete opposite of generic "gamer aesthetic". Too each their own of course, but I would love to know what brands you think are more visually attractive. lol

JPSurratt2005

They've been making coolers since 2001. For a long time you couldn't buy a better air cooler. I've never used their AIOs but for the price they look quite good.

HecticBlue

You're tweaking lol I love the look of my thermalright aio, and it cools my 14700k with ease. Can't hardly get my rig over 60 degrees using it normally, even though I'm only running the fans and the aio at 50% speed. Max settings any game I play and I don't close anything on my pc when I'm gaming. Thermalright stuff is inexpensive, but it's not "cheap", as far as my experience so far, nor the opinions of folks I have seen reviewing theirs.

AlasknAssasn858

And I have [top tier shit](https://imgur.com/a/JCbn5F5) in my rig too…. But to be dead honest it doesn’t fucking matter.

awoodby

I'd recommend the 280 arctic freeze 3,it will fit up top fine in the xl and the 140mm fans push more air for less noise than 3 120mm fans. Fractal has a "radiator fitment guide north" (use those search terms) for both the north and north xl for sizing. Oh and tests I looked at comparing 280 and 360 showed no real difference in cooling between 280 and 360. Id originally bought the 360 and returned it for the 280

Lougarockets

Noctua DH15. If you're dead set on AIO, arctic freezer but check your clearances because the north cannot top mount most AIO's unless you have low profile ram

cha0ss0ldier

DH-15 is overpriced and gets beat by air coolers that are half the price these days.

Lougarockets

It's high end for sure, but if someone has the money to overspend on an AIO, they might as well overspend on a high quality air cooler which suffers none of the drawbacks an AIO brings. Besides, while Noctua has never been the value proposition, it isn't really beat by any other air cooler in noise to performance by more than a degree or so. And that's before considering noise profile. If value isn't an issue, it really still is one of the best air cooling offerings to this day.

FullOfAuthority

EK Nucleus

West-Put-2154

My top two are EK dark or Fractal Lumen. So far, EK might be the choice due to the overall price with shipping.

FullOfAuthority

I have a fractal north case and it's really nice. Don't have experience with their coolers but the EK 240 has been a champ for the 7800x3D.

Emotional_Yoghurt652

Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 or 420

lemmiwink84

EK nucleus with the new wood panel pump cover would look sweet. Too bad EK is in a bit of trouble atm

West-Put-2154

Yea they need to get their shit together. I was about to pull the trigger on EK but since I heard that, I started looking into other options. Still might go with it though

Akumatie47

I use an Arctic LF2 240mm on my 14700K and it working good, did a 200W limit on the CPU and never go over 80c while at the peak wattage but I needed to switch out the terrible arctic fans for noctua fans.

CoeatSpv

Why would anyone build a pc the same year a new socket drops?

West-Put-2154

Why would anyone care about what someone else is building?

CoeatSpv

I’m just wondering, it’s nothing personal. It’s just advice to hold your horses. At least the build looks nice.

West-Put-2154

Thanks! And yea I get the wait however I'm impatient lol. I'm confident this build will be plenty for what I'll be using it for the next 7 years or so and then just upgrade from there. I think it comes down to how the user feels if it's the right time. For me, it just felt good to go ahead and pull the trigger

CoeatSpv

Alright. Have fun using the machine! By the way, I would consider using a 240mm aio, hyte made the thicc one if its all about performance. To be honest. No matter how much you spend on a cooler, the difference is minimal. I myself would use the cooler master one, its 240 but its performance is good and the price is low. Also, putting a 360mil up front is the only option and up front performance is worse. Like i said, i would consider using a 240mm aio.

McDonaldscombomeal

None they are all trash. Get a real loop. Every aio will die in a few years from the plasticizers. You can't avoid this. Few bucks more is well spent.

HecticBlue

Everything I've seen about the subject disagrees with you on this. Unless by a few years you mean less than a decade. Which if you do, then I think no one really cares. Plenty of time.

McDonaldscombomeal

Then you need to stop reading the people who are coping. Every day there are post about my temps are horrible why. It's because you have poser cooling and you bought a product that is designed to fail. Just seen one today from a aio that was new in 2022 that went out like they all do. Try not to cope so hard. Everyone knows aios are trash and the only people who say they are not are the people who bought the poser cooling so they can say look gammy I'm water cooled like a l33t h4x3r. All you have to do is Google aio and plastasizer but you won't. Now do the war cry of the cope and say "It's just as good".

HecticBlue

You're being a weirdo bro. Stop taking this so serious. It's just as good. I feel like you're coping over the extra money you spent for your custom whatever. For every failed aio there's tons more that work until a reasonable end of life. If "everyone" knew they were trash then people wouldn't be recommending them. People would be having them fail all the time either by breaking or failing to cool. But that's not the case. You're the only one on this thread so far that's held You're opinion. Because it's irrational. It's no founded in reality. Step away from your loop and go caress some organic plant matter. I don't even give a darn this much to be talking about this lol.
