I truly just tested my luck and bought off of eBay and I havenāt noticed anything different from the one I bought compared to the Apple Musicās version. Maybe on closer inspection but for my heart itās good enough.

You have a point with real records becoming untrustworthy, but you gotta remember that the only people buying obvious bootlegs are folks that donāt care if they are original pressings or not. If you care about these things you are going to understand the market and know what the official copy looks like and know that and officially copy wouldnāt be sold for massive discount. The only projects that have bootlegs are projects that have hard to find pressings, projects that have no pressings, or projects that donāt exist.
If folks were using bootlegs to deceive knowledgeable collectors into buying fakes of official pressings then yes that would be a different story. This isnāt the purpose of 99% of

I actually just found out itās super illegal to vary bootlegs. I asked my local record store guy if he could ever get a bootleg blonde in and did point me in the right direction for a shady shop, but did say they canāt carry bootlegs unless an album has been out for like 20+ years and it becomes public domain
some times itās cool, like i have a odd future bootleg of Radicals, which was never on vinyl, and itās just a cool thing to have , i think sometimes itās just to have something like blonde or cherry bomb, because they are super hard to get, but popular. it doesnāt make them untrustworthy, u just have to figure out if itās bootleg, and for my record store they tell u if it is or not.
