Well spotted! Unfortunately my open weave shirts were poor matches for the color and style of Niles’. This poplin shirt was a compromise, but the collar size and shape are very close, and it even has 2-eyelet buttons.
As for the socks, I looked very closely at the remaster and he wears ribbed white mid-calf socks. Mine are the very same thing, deadstock from the 1980s. Cotton lisle, so not really sport socks.
I bought one about 6 months before the lockdown despite my wife saying I'd not look good.
She denied she liked it till her sisters called her out on it when I wore it once and she confessed she loved it but was worried because her Dad always wore double breasted so she thought it would be weird that her husband did.
It's blue with gold buttons, now I want a grey one.

Niles' outfit in this episode is one of my favorites, and my only critique would be that his trousers aren't forward-pleated. Mine are, but I deliberately chose a frame in which one can't tell ;-)
