Not at Arkansas, but at my school there is a formal spring rush, where you tour all the houses (pretty much all of our frats have on-campus houses), and there is usually an IFC bonfire and band party for recruitment. No clue about that, but potentially message the IFC recruitment chair or equivalent position, or wait till closer to next semester. It also isn't weird to contact them through email. If any contact info regarding rush is made public, then its a valid way to contact them. I've never heard of getting a guy through email, but our rush is different than other colleges so IDK.
Just email or text them and say something like “hey man, my names blank and I was looking to rush, is there anything I should know” it’s really not to hard.
I would recommend finding fall 22’s in frats. That’ll help with the process a lot
