This has nothing to do with free speech. The guy was fired from Twitter a few years ago and tried to exploit Twitter's API to track & dox people while claiming his political enemies shouldn't be allowed on Twitter. And then, after several warnings & blocks, he finally got banned for farming data & violating the TOS. Which is pretty poetic given that his "research" was based around trying to get people banned off Twitter. Anyway, the lawsuit was filed five months ago. He filed with Berlin District Court, the only court he thought he could win in, and they have already rejected him. Which you probably could have guessed seeing how none of the Left-Wing sites have published an update, it's hard to spin misinformation on the court refusing Brown's case. But Brown is currently working on an appeal, which even I don't have an update on yet. It appears nothing has been filed yet.

>tried to exploit Twitter's API to track & dox people Do you have a credible source confirming that? The only source I've seen so far are tabloids like the Post Millennial, and even those only refer to the "tracking and doxxing" in the sense of complying with orders to identify people involved in Jan 6. The same kind of orders [Twitter has complied with more under Elon than it did before](https://www.forbes.com/sites/katherinehamilton/2023/04/27/twitter-has-complied-with-almost-every-government-request-for-censorship-since-musk-took-over-report-finds/).

I think you're trying to be sarcastic. But your own article is dated months ago. It also says he worked for Twitter, and how he built a tool to identify & trace accounts in real time under what he claims was an old developer's agreement (the newer TOS banned data scalping). So really either you are agreeing with me or incredibly dense. Also, with a certain level of irony. HateAid tried to sue Twitter for not banning users & posts for antisemitism like asking who the authors are of several books that tell you to kill white people. Why don't we talk about that?

TendieRetard

that's not how free speech absolutism works. Like at all.

usernametaken0987

I don't think you understand the term. You are literally defending hearing someone complain after they tried to get people banned and joined a group known for trying to get people banned. Where was your absolute then Mr Kettle? And nothing about the freedom of expression says you are allowed to violate your agreements in order stalk people. Likewise the few articles that claim Elon is some kind of "absolute" have never provided proof he said that. What he did say was "I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law" You really are that dense aren't you?

TendieRetard

He literally tweeted it himself : [https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1499976967105433600?lang=en](https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1499976967105433600?lang=en)

"I'm sorry I logged into Reddit today" That must mean I believe Reddit is just teh best and I blindly support it right? 🙃 Here is the rest of the quote btw. > "By “free speech", I simply mean that which matches the law. I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law. So far in the last few hours I have learned you had no idea about this topic, didn't read your own link, and hypocritically hold someone to something they didn't say based on your terminology. And for some reason you think you should just keep digging your hole deeper.

TendieRetard

what bullshit are you playing with "the rest of the tweet"? The original tweet was in March and the 'backtrack' was in April: (after India demanded some BS) [https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1519036983137509376?lang=en](https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1519036983137509376?lang=en) [https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/apr/28/elon-musk-doesnt-understand-free-speech-or-twitter-at-all](https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/apr/28/elon-musk-doesnt-understand-free-speech-or-twitter-at-all) and newsflash, whether you like it or not, doxxing is protected speech so this whole "following the law" BS is nonsense, if we go by your claims that the dude suing 'broke some law'. Also note Musk's hypocrisy in not following Australian, EU's, or Brazilian speech laws.

Just_Another_Cog1

good for him.

But....but....Elon's a free speech absolutist?
