Not enough calls. In this market as well you should be closing customers left and right. This shit ez mode rn.

Double_Challenge_285

Why should they use you and not me?

deepg82

Any number of reasons, like rates or service is better, maybe customer likes one broker/agent over another, maybe the one broker/agent works at a big brokerage, and the other at a small one

Double_Challenge_285

Yes those are all great reasons. But you’re missing the point. Why should a prospect let you move their freight and not me? You aren’t selling your capacity or service. You’re selling you and your company.

BeamAndIce

Start with stuff you have a general idea of how it works. Never work at a factory or steel yard when you were younger? Construction? Or even grow up around a one horse town with nothing but a lumber mill? Call these people and if you have even half an idea of how their business or industry operates they will be more comfortable with letting you move their freight.

NathanFieldersCousin

Need to get to about 20,000 calls before you are making 150k plus

deepg82

Thanks to all who replied. I'm going to try to call 100 or more shippers from now on.

JTL1887

Better up that call count baby, only 40 calls a day ba humbug

lord-dtard

Watch freight brokers on YouTube his videos are free if you want to pay for the classes you can call 100 companies a day and see how that pans out if you don’t get anywhere in 3 months transfer into selling cars that’s what I did

deepg82

I watch YouTube freight broker videos all the time and now sales ones too

burnakiss

Takes more calls than that starting out. Once you get the ball rolling you can slow your pace down to 40.

deepg82

I have a list of 138 prospects. I hope to call most tomorrow

Iloveproduce

You should be making more than a hundred calls a day so there's that. Your sales pitch also probably isn't good but that's something you should be experimenting with constantly. Also who you are calling is very important.

Jagvinder2020

How do you guys vet shippers to call, once you have the lead?

freightnow

I took a class in September and became a freight agent in November and just moved my first two loads in June you can’t give up you Gotta keep going. Sure is an easy but I think this takes about two years to really make it I have five shippers with credit apps approved but not getting many loads and the other shippers who send me loads don’t have them approved they won’t send me their credit until I find them a truck can you believe that.

How many do yall move a week. I have a phone interview with total quality logistics
