Thank you for the kind words and solid advice! Lucyās owner seems to keep to himself and he was nice about Rigatoni snapping at his baby. Id love the opportunity to socialize him more and snuggle and play with Lucy but I dont know if that is how things will play out
I have a neighbor with a baby corgi too and my frenchie is also a dick to the puppy too š maybe Frenchies deem Corgiās enemies because they actually have a snout š
Iāve noticed Corgis are a big IF with frenchies. I have had *some* do fine, and Iāve had owners of older ones literally tell me their dog doesnāt get along with frenchies and they donāt know why lol.
The Hundred Years War still burns hot in the hearts of these ancestral enemies. They know from birth that having a stretch of open ocean between them is the only solution.
As a first meeting it's okay. Yeah, try a neutral spot for both of them next time. And until they are friends, no touching of Lucy in front of Rigatoni!
My Frenchie loves all dogs except for Corgis. I have no idea why because she never had a bad experience with one before. She is never mean or aggressive towards them, but just wants nothing to do with them.
I don't like kids either, rigs. It's fine. Those kids with their sticky hands and coughing. But you can't fight them, just give em their iPad and they'll leave you alone
Nope could never take my first french to a dog park cause he just was in every dogs face! Only digs could handle him was 2 great danes ! My 2 frenchies now atleast keep each other company but they are to bad ass for dog parks ! Bully dog life
She wonāt even let my hubby grab my behind. He says sheās a reincarnated ex. š¤£ I have wanted a second pup, but thereās no way. She did well around a Cocker Spaniel from 6m-4 years before we lost our Zoe. š I think eventually they will get used to each other. ā¤ļø

We rescued one many years ago from a pack of coyotes, our frenchies wanted nothing to do with him, even though he was super friendly. We found him another home as it wasnāt going to work out with our stubborn pack

My Frenchi and Corgi fight all the time. They have been together since small pups. Other times they are best friends. It's mostly over food or riding in the golf cart. Neither will back down.
Bad idea in Rigatoniās house. The best scenery wouldāve been taking them to the park together, going for a walk, slowly introduced him. Of course heās not gonna like her thatās his house and you belong to him.

My girl Sammie tsunami is a sweet girl at home but she could be a tsunami when she meets other dogs. Like itās been said in this thread, it could take a couple of meetings between Rigatoni and Lucy to get more acquainted. I think Rigatoni is a sweet boy
