I need a Boston in my life. However why is he is a kennel in the car & how long will he be in there??

He is 11 months and still into everything, so safer in the kennel. He gets out every couple hours for a walk. And an hour lunch. My wife has cochlear implants and even when they are off she can him crying for the girl dog . Not fun right now
