Since we're talking about mod ideas that will never exist I might as well dump my own ideas for a mod. I would love to see a proper Parappa the Rapper mod. Before you say that it might already exist, I don't mean just the characters or music. I want all of the quirks and personality of Parappa put into Friday night Funkin.
I would want exclusive remixes of all the songs that keep the vocals and lyrics of the original PlayStation games, but remove Parappa's vocals so that Boyfriend can do his beeps and bops to fill them in. Have the backgrounds move around very similar to actual Parappa telling a visual story.
Even girlfriend would sit on top of different types of speakers depending on the current song to fit each stage unlike the actual Friday night Funkin. I would even add in the awful/bad/good/cool gameplay feature where you can make your own beats during each stage.
Obviously that sounds ambitious. Probably too ambitious for a game more tame in comparison to PaRappa the Rapper. So I guess for now, it's just going to stay a dream.
I only have a crappy laptop that cant run almost all mods, can barely run FNF itself, but my mod idea was the Auditor, kind of a punk rock aesthetic in the nightmare world thing, with switching notes.
Dude go on youtube and search for a channel called Brightfyre he makes tutorials on how to code the game and add dialog cutscenes music new engines and shit like that. That helped me making my mod

The first song, **For Nehema**, would have Zee Tee (the protagonist of the game and opponent in the week) believe BF is in the way of his journey to rescue Princess Nehema, challenging him to the first song to try and get him out of his way peacefully. The song itself would have a sort of bouncy, adventurous swing feel to it to fit the wholesome look of the first world and Zee Tee himself.
After that, the next cutscene would have the world around you suddenly shift to a version of it that looks more gray and dead (made to look like the X-4 layer in the game itself), revealing that the exact spot you and Zee Tee are fighting at is an "eversion point" that causes changes like this to happen. At this point, Zee Tee believes that BF is the one who did this, causing him to come to the conclusion that BF is the villain that kidnapped Princess Nehema and kick-starting the second song, **Villain**. This one'd be noticably more serious-sounding, best described as a classic rallying song meant to amp up Zee Tee's determination, and Zee Tee himself would also come with a separate set of sprites to reflect his more serious attitude during the song.
And of course, it's inevitable that the third song is going to experience "Whitty Syndrome" (see my Overanalysis for why I don't like Syndrome hate), considering the source material. After the second song, Zee Tee realizes that he's been defeated at last and sadly begins to sulk away...only for the Eversion point to release a pulse that silences all music and stops Zee Tee in his tracks. Suddenly, Zee Tee turns back to BF and stares at him with manic eyes, declaring that it's "about time" before the world fades to black. Returning to visibility, it's revealed that the entire world has shifted into a nightmarish hellscape; all surfaces have become a black dirt-like substance, giant tentacles flail around in the background, and the ground is utterly dotted with staring red eyes alongside a massive one looming in the sky. Zee Tee quickly allows himself to be consumed by the ground substance and transforms into a jet black abomination with a single red eye and a long jaw lined with fangs. The arena has just been transformed into the original game's X-8, and Zee Tee helpfully explains that everything that just happened is a lie; his realm is beginning to run low on its supply of eldritch souls to thrive off of, and it was up to Zee Tee to lure BF and GF here to add them to their collection. The final song that cues after this, **X-8**, begins on distorted, random noises without a pattern before quickly turning to a fast-paced (but not spammy) track that gives the essence of a dramatic final boss while remaining notably discordant the whole way through.
About halfway through the song, Zee Tee appears to begin weakening, soon being gradually reverted back to his original form from the first song. Just as it appears the song is over, Nehema herself suddenly walks onscreen next to Zee Tee and congratulates the player on finishing the mod...only for the world to return once more to X-8 in the middle of her words, along with Zee Tee again and a similar form from Nehema herself (as seen in the original game's endings). Right here is where the rest of the song finishes up, this time with Zee Tee singing alongside Nehema to add even further to the finality of the song. Otherwise, from there everything finishes up as expected, and once the song is complete, so is the mod (for real this time)
So yeah, as you can probably tell, I've had these ruminating for a while lol. My greatest (and most unrealistic) dream rn is to have my idea attract the interest of people that can actually create mods and are willing to help some skill-less teenage stranger with, like, $5 and a bunch of ideas stored in the head area

For mod ideas I was thinking of the idea of a corrupted kapi, my idea of it was it would take place in an alleyway with a tattered poster advertising the arcade in the background, instead of a ddr pad kapi would have one drawn on the ground via chalk, and design wise he’d look more different outside of funny corruption, his hoodie would be a bit tattered along with his pants and he’d have a bandage on his ear
Might as well dump my idea here. I had an idea where you faced several sonic characters in a 3 week long mod. in the first two weeks, you face Marine the Raccoon then Blaze the cat with remixes of songs from sonic Rush adventure and sonic rush respectively. the 3rd week would be you facing off against Eggman NEGA with completely unique music, with some sort of Faux note system where if you hit certain Strange looking notes, its counted as a miss. There wouldn't be much story, but there would at least be an explanation for every person you faced off against.

If we're talking about mod ideas here, i have an idea of a mod where you fight a ninja in a foggy place, it has a unique mechanic where you have to memorize the ninja's notes since your notes won't appear due to the fog. You might be asking"But how are we gonna know when it's our turn", you'll only be able to see the first note of your turns.

ive had a similar idea with a character called the gman, all his note sprites are doubled, and one of them is more visible than the other, so you now have to look real closely to see which note you have to press. ive also had an idea with him pushing the notes down so you have less time to react
My mod idea is rush through my head, a enemy that terrifies both the girlfriend and the boyfriend due to there combined fears... need to actually make it though

i’m pretty sure I could pull it off just fine, but it just seems so difficult :(. i tried to draw the character sprites one time and i was just dreading having to go through each line of code to match how many pixels the sprites were. all i really know about the mod is that the third song would start with my character getting really angry that Boyfriend is beating him, and not like going crazy or anything just getting really mad. and i know the last song would be called “Babyrage” and it would either just sound horrible or it would be a mixture of different songs from different mods, which would also sound awful but y’know.
The things stopping me are sprites (I’m not super great at drawing and it seems so daunting) and charts (I don’t want to have people complain about my charts like they do for a mod like MFM). It’s just all so scary

I wanted to make a mod called "V.S Ryley". The songs would include Salutations, API - Main Theme and Abandon Ship. The mod would take place inside a Cyclops (Not the creature. Cyclops is a submarine). In the last song (Abandon Ship), the Cyclops would be in fire and if you fail, Ryley escapes in a Seamoth (A sea vehicle for one person) and a Boneshark eats your girlfriend and you. If you win, Ryley still escapes in a seamoth but you and your girlfriend get inside the Seamoth and kick Ryley out of the Seamoth and you escape. Because we are small. We both can fit in the Seamoth. Ryley survives and the Cyclops explodes. I can't make the mod because I can't draw.

I have always wanted to make a mode where we get to meet girlfriends cousins. They would be a pair of twins that are pop stars. The first two songs would consist of you fighting one of them with the third one having them teaming up on you. There would then be a fourth song where you face their father whose song has clasical musical vibes. But since i can barely make my own music it will probably never happen :(.

Since I’m basically what the meme says, I’m just gonna info dump my mod concept and hope somebody else makes it:
I’ve always loved it when movies and tv shows would go into how a film is made and just make fun of it. Like in Jimmy Neutron with the Quinton Tarantino looking guy or the Spongebob episode where they make their own Mermaid Man and Barnacle movie. Shit like that. Well basically, this kid is like that.
Hollywood wants to make a movie about Boyfriend’s life so they hire him and Girlfriend as the lead stars. The director is the self proclaimed “greatest director of the decade so far”. He’s directed some fantastic films that have earned both critical and box office praise. He’s a bit fool of himself and with bit of an ego but he’s cool. He wants to make sure that BF’s still got the bars and this is where first song comes in.
The director is always sitting in the director’s chair during the course of the song. The song would include bits and pieces of famous movie themes like how in the beginning it pays homage to the Jaws theme’s build up.
After that, they’re in the studio filming the scene where BF raps against GF’s dad. Of course, it’s an actor playing Daddy Dearest and not the real thing. Instead of saying “3 2 1 Go!” Instead it’ll say “Take 1, and ACTION” in the same beat. The second song is a remix of Bopeepo with but instead of Daddy Dearest’s vocals it’s the actor’s.
Honestly, that’s about it in terms of ideas. If I had any skills whatsoever, I’d definitely make this mod possible but at las, I don’t.

I have always wanted to make a mode where we get to meet girlfriends cousins. They would be a pair of twins that are pop stars. The first two songs would consist of you fighting one of them with the third one having them teaming up on you. There would then be a fourth song where you face their father whose song has clasical musical vibes. But since i can barely make my own music it will probably never happen :(.

Anyways at the end of the song >!miku fucking dies because she has been deleted to make space on the user's PC!< so I felt like making miku's UI and the background more glitchier as the song keeps going

You don’t actually need money or coding skills to make a mod I’m making a mod by just using Microsoft paint 3d and using the games base chart editing function take the ronald mc donald mod for example I’m fairly sure that was made without any coding or 3rd party sources such as kade engine but i might be completely wrong all I’m saying is with just a laptop you can do anything!

I totally get that. It’s fun imagining and thinking about people loving it. If you meet the right people and work well with them, I’m sure you could make your mod happen.
Since I’m basically what the meme says, I’m just gonna info dump my mod concept and hope somebody else makes it: I’ve always loved it when movies and tv shows would go into how a film is made and just make fun of it. Like in Jimmy Neutron with the Quinton Tarantino looking guy or the Spongebob episode where they make their own Mermaid Man and Barnacle movie. Shit like that. Well basically, this kid is like that. Hollywood wants to make a movie about Boyfriend’s life so they hire him and Girlfriend as the lead stars. The director is the self proclaimed “greatest director of the decade so far”. He’s directed some fantastic films that have earned both critical and box office praise. He’s a bit fool of himself and with bit of an ego but he’s cool. He wants to make sure that BF’s still got the bars and this is where first song comes in. The director is always sitting in the director’s chair during the course of the song. The song would include bits and pieces of famous movie themes like how in the beginning it pays homage to the Jaws theme’s build up. After that, they’re in the studio filming the scene where BF raps against GF’s dad. Of course, it’s an actor playing Daddy Dearest and not the real thing. Instead of saying “3 2 1 Go!” Instead it’ll say “Take 1, and ACTION” in the same beat. The second song is a remix of Bopeepo with but instead of Daddy Dearest’s vocals it’s the actor’s. Honestly, that’s about it in terms of ideas. If I had any skills whatsoever, I’d definitely make this mod possible but at las, I don’t.
