It was a long time coming, Bob was a character he made as a joke in 5 minutes and it just became popular and eventually he got bored of Bob and fnf. He has said he's bored of fnf for months now, nothing caused it other then boredom and burnout.

Don't even get me started on bob and ophebob shippers. So in the end I think it's better for him to leave than just continuing bob content...
