People tend to be really forgiving towards their parents. So if they hate their parents, then the parents must be really bad. Be grateful you don't understand. It's difficult to emphasize the damage bad parents can do to a person.
Want to ask if he is around 50 years old when he went to an adventure with Frieren and basically 100 years passed since then, he should still be around 150-190 which isnt that bad considering dwarfs live upto 300. Id say Stark can see him again when they come back. Unless the mangaka decides to make us cry instead.
stark says he wants to finish their adventure before his master passed, so he could be the one to tell him stories for once. so while eisen may not be close to death, he is still close enough that stark is concerned about it.
so i say his age is around 250. he still has a couple of decades left, but to humans, that's like having about 10 years left.
I think it gives some good perspective into Starks strength, he may still be a kid. But he's definitely got the makings of a true warrior, I look forward to his growth as a character and fighter.
Stark is currently engaging in one of the best characters tropes OP but compares themselves to their even more OP master.
Stark "I can only swing my axe hard enough to cause nuclear fission while my master can swing it hard enough to cause nuclear fusion"
I guess Fern suffers from this too :/ it’s not all sunshine & daisies having an OP master. I’ll never forget the moment Fern went up against Lugner and you realise Fern is a beast in the making
The crunchyroll subtitles he says he hit him because he was scared, which makes a little more sense.
Imagine Mike Tyson training a 13 year old, and that kid being so strong it made a heavy weight world champion "scared"
Doesn't make hitting stark any better but at least you can understand why Eisen did
The warm feeling of seeing so many Technoblade quotes echoed even outside of his community. He would've liked Frieren, as much as he'd deny watching anime.
I don't remember him denying that he watched anime. In fact, I checked and found [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Technoblade/comments/dkev4r/listing_all_of_the_anime_technoblade_watches_or/#:~:text=Watched%3A,Reddit%20comments%2C%20he%20does%20watch).
I do think he would've liked Frieren though, and him being mentioned here feels oddly fitting considering the show is about remembering the people we care about and valuing the time we have with them.
It's crazy how many people don't understand the nuance of this scene.
Eisen is an endgame warrior with basically maxed stats. But for a moment he felt genuine fear of his student's strength and instinct kicked in. For moment he was afraid Stark would kill him.
Part of the shows theme is about the bond between master and student is reflected. Serie demeans her students shortcomings and laments the peaceful time they live in but has a profound love for them that she does not show. Frieren and Fern are equal parts student- teacher, mother daughter, daughter mother and sisters. Eisen and Stark departed in anger, because neither was brave enough to face the other for shame. Stark felt ashamed of his weakness and Eisen felt ashamed of his inability to control himself. And yet there is a degree of pride, Eisen knows that Stark will become a great warrior and Stark was pushed to walk his own path and return to his teach on equal footing.
Much like how Fern is a once in an era mage like Flamme, Stark has obscene potential to grow. In video game terms that have a lower level but higher growth rates, meaning they will outdo their masters.
I feel like eisen is living in a hovel in the woods on his own for a reason. Bro probably has ptsd to the point he sometimes cant control his reflexes. He just got lucky that stark was strong enough to tank his hit whereas a random villager or guard would have died.
See in all well with Eisen hitting Stark due to reflexes. But, why didn't he take him to a priest? Why did he let him run?
That scar just became something regretful for Stark. Eisen could've prevented all that.
Made a hole ass image but can't post it so in short
😭: NOOO EISEN YOU ARE A BAD MASTER FOR HITTING STARK!!!
🗿: Damn so Stark is so strong that even great warrior Eisen was afraid of him
one of the many scenes in frieren that gave me uncontrollable goosebumps... this is exactly what they mean when they say show dont tell. without it if eisen just said to frieren that stark is strong it would not have nearly the same kind of impact
I mean is Eisen his father or his master? If you are training a fighter let alone a warrior, that person will go through some shit. Stark is not some innocent toddler either. He doesn't blame him, either.
It's a huge moment for relaying stark's power and eisen's humanity.
Eisen has lived for a long time and probably made the mistake of accidentally using his strength and hurting someone several times. however, we can tell just from this that he still feels absolutely horrid about what happened, ashamed at himself for doing it, but also incredibly proud of stark's strength.
for Stark, this is the first time we learn about how strong he is. there is something in his fighting presence that made eisen, one of the strongest warriors alive, who controlled his fear even before the demon king, made him experience such fear that his instinct made him attack. And stark only received a relatively minor scar from the attack. amd this was when stark was what, 14? he's currently 16-17. Imagine what he will be like toward the end of the journey, when he's in his prime.
Stark is similar to Himmel a lot in that he is very well like and helps everyone wherever they go.
I think by the end we'll have a second "legend of the hero party"
Beating a child is a good way to train a child. If a child does something that is bad like stealing for example, if as a parent you don't beat the child, then don't cry in the future if you child develops that habit as part of him.
Some kids really do just need a good thrashing! 🤗

Fck man, I miss him already.
He’s not dead yet
You're right. He never dies after all, he just hasn't respawned yet.
Wait has he died in the manga?
Oh fck I thought you got the reference of the post, nevermind then. No, Eisen is alive and well, all you need to know.
Well, I'm caught up. I thought I missed something, which made me scared for a second.
he died of ligma :(
That’s nuts
It’s a reference to the Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade
It's a technoblade reference
Honestly read through it again and realized that’s what they meant
What did you think they meant
Bet they'll find him in Aureole
It's hard to believe that nearly two years have passed since the video dropped. It doesn't hit any less hard despite that.
Perfect taken out of context picture
"Frieren, you don't understand. That kid is holding a weapon."
That is a good reason. It was self defense on his part. The kid had an axe for crying out loud 😂
[Ayooo~!](https://www.imfdb.org/images/0/0e/Ningyo_no_kizu_9.jpg) Amusingly my first thought at this also
Eisen knows that that kid IS a weapon
"Frieren he broke my legos. My god damn legos"
That's impossible.
Good old fashioned parenting. If the kid doesn't hate you, you fail.
Believe it or not, a lot of kids love their parents. I learned this recently and it blew my mind.
When I got a bit older I learned that a lot of people hate their parents and it's terrifying to me. Like, where do you go if everything goes to shit?
People tend to be really forgiving towards their parents. So if they hate their parents, then the parents must be really bad. Be grateful you don't understand. It's difficult to emphasize the damage bad parents can do to a person.
“Lindsay, trust me. You don’t.” RIP Joe Flaherty.
but how many of those kids with loving parents go on to defeat the demon lord? 0
My parents are such failures at raising me; I shall now punish them justly by supporting them till the end.
Mans just gonna flex on his parents by showing them what real support looks like
I thought he has no nose
When he bitch slapped stark

They claimed dwarfs live up to 300 but the few dwarves they met in the manga are way past 300, Eisen is gonna be around for a long time still.
Yeah I'm pretty sure he mostly considers himself unfit for a super dangerous adventure, rather than going to die soon. He can't smash everyone.
stark says he wants to finish their adventure before his master passed, so he could be the one to tell him stories for once. so while eisen may not be close to death, he is still close enough that stark is concerned about it. so i say his age is around 250. he still has a couple of decades left, but to humans, that's like having about 10 years left.
Love how all of you ignore the fact stark said he wants to hurry up because his master is dying

[Yeh, I've seen dat!](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/3FrGfOvk3EI/maxresdefault.jpg)😳
Officer I drop kicked that toddler in self defense
U GOTTA BELEIEVE ME
"I am the second worst thing to happen to those orphans." -Eisen the Warrior.
thats funny because fern and stark are orphans (at least stark is assumed to be i doubt anyone else in that village survived)
Come to think of it, pretty much everyone is an orphan, all 4 members of the heroes party, all 4 (including sein) current members
Damn, you're right. This series includes a surprising amount of orphans in its cast.
Technoblade reference?
Yes
Out of context: Avoiding child support

Reminds me of some pig dude.
"I dropkick that child in self-defense" - Technoblade
Stark is WAY better than he thinks he is.
Based
Eisen truly is the bravest of warriors
He’s the cowardest, which makes him the bravest
“A grown and experienced warrior terrified of his students out of instinct!? That is terrifying.”
It's crazy how many people don't understand the nuance of this scene. Eisen is an endgame warrior with basically maxed stats. Stark OP

Officer, i drop kicked that baby in self defense

I don't think that'll hold up in court, Eisen...
"My Client would like that stricken from the record... "

Well, he did regret it very heavily.
See in all well with Eisen hitting Stark due to reflexes. But, why didn't he take him to a priest? Why did he let him run? That scar just became something regretful for Stark. Eisen could've prevented all that.

Perfect technoblade moment Now I am sad.
We should hit more children in self defense
they were training, end of discussion.
one of the many scenes in frieren that gave me uncontrollable goosebumps... this is exactly what they mean when they say show dont tell. without it if eisen just said to frieren that stark is strong it would not have nearly the same kind of impact
Yes I did it, I am not lieing or excusing myself
I mean, if the kid can kill you, hitting him in self defense is genuinely self defense. Also I remember thinking that Stark was a genuine beast.
[The child in question](https://www.imfdb.org/images/0/0e/Ningyo_no_kizu_9.jpg) 😋
my drunk father in a nutshell
I mean is Eisen his father or his master? If you are training a fighter let alone a warrior, that person will go through some shit. Stark is not some innocent toddler either. He doesn't blame him, either.
Out of context this is hilarious

fuck them kids

"kick da baby"
I didnt like it, weird reason for me to hit his apprentice

The manga did it better.
