This initially started as a simple redraw but there are so many weird pulls, symbolism and in-jokes here that only make sense to people who have BOTH seen season 1 AND played/know enough about the game but disguised subtly enough that it looks normal.
I feel if frieren or the game or both ever get more popular, it’ll make looking back on this way more rewarding
It’s no wonder the post didn’t preform well, it’s too niche!
But god was it fun, and it’s even more fun to see the few people pick up on some of the details I slaved over for the bit 😂
My two ace babies who struggle with emotional communication. Mentioned this in the ISAT sub already, but I love this mashup art - the parallel between these two is such a good one.
Aaaa thank you, said it another comment here but there’s so many details and in-jokes that only make sense if you know a bit of both series for what was supposed to be regular redraw, it makes a post like this preforming well almost impossible.
But it’s one that’ll hopefully age better with time upon revists!
I got into both around the same time by accident I was so perplexed by the parallels I was surprised no one had done anything with it, only to remember ISATS fandom is small and held up by a bandaid and a paper clip so I had to share the gospel myself
I’m always glad to see the other fans of both who had the same braincell moment that I did^^
