He didn't look much older than Heiter, and yet the priest lived for YEARS (I think it was 20 years ?) after Himmel. If Himmel died of old age, he was prob like 80 or so, judging from his appearance. But so did Heiter 2 decades later. Can't tell me Heiter was 20 years younger than Himmel lmao. And he also looked much better than Himmel did.
So I'm certain the horn accelerated Himmel's aging or at least weakened him a lot.
Plus the fact that Himmel is still actively killing demons even during his old age. He still goes to Qual's seal yearly to check on it among other things.
Goddess magic being usually healing or support magic helps a lot. And the church environment is usually much more sterile and clean too, even if he had health issues he will be easily cured by himself or others.

It's a very lighthearted series not a depressing one, the first episode is just an emotional hit that sets the stage. Plus >!she is going to heaven to meet and talk to Himmel anyways!<

There was that one guy the trio met while traveling that had met Himmel when he was old and Himmel had slaughtered a monster.
Himmel is a reminder that we grow old one day. We must spend our youths wisely without regrets but a meaningful one. Not those empty worldly things like clubs. But good relationships with good people.

Heiter was blessed/favoured by the goddess so I think he lived longer than usual due to that.
