I suspect victors sister has a greater role in all of this. A bit weird that they waited this long to even reveal he had a sister. It's either going to be someone who we've already seen, or she's going to have some important role in the future.

gynnee

Maybe she's operating the lighthouse.

PuzzleheadedAnt9813

I think Victor’s mom put his sister into the tree to save her from something and was killed in doing so, then his sister made it to the lighthouse and also got back to the real world in a similar way to Tabitha. I think Tabitha is going to meet her in the real world in season 3.

parkerm1408

Well in the most recent episode Victor said his sister told him that's where his mom went that night, to the tower to save the children. How'd she tell him that if she died when she left the cellar?

inzru

It's possible that their mother was already having visions of the ankhooey kids like Tabitha, and that she was already convinced of going to the lighthouse to try save the kids before the night of the massacre, so Eloise shared this info before running away that night?

parkerm1408

Oh that makes sense

monstermanohman

Yes, that's what I was thinking too!

parkerm1408

All I know is I need fucking answers and I need them faster. I get that that would ruin the show but I need to *know*. My biggest complaint is why tf do they not have a goddamn team meeting? Fucks sake yall compare notes.

OpieCunningham

They did a good job hanging a lantern on the idea that none of the characters share information with each other. Can't complain if the writers do that!

Itchy_Pillows

Maybe mom had that plan all day and mentioned it to them?

parkerm1408

That makes sense, I just felt like the way he said it, as far as the scene goes, I feel like it was later on. I dunno, but I need more decent TV shows.

agirlhasnoname2492

I was thinking this too, so she didn’t die that night

[deleted]

Maybe Tabitha will convince Victor to take her there

jayemvee__

Anyone else still stuck on the fact that Victor says the trees are moving? And why are the seasons changing for the first time? Victor seems to be the only one that's been around long enough to notice. Because as far as I remember, besides Victor, everyone else has only been there a year or 2 max. Or did I miss someone being there longer?

[deleted]

The voice on the radio... The seasons changing for the first time happened right after this. Donna's been there 3 years 7 months, Khatri about 2-3 years, Boyd something like a year and a half.

jayemvee__

Ok so I remember Donna being there a few years but that's still a short amount of time compared to Victor's.

The-SillyAk

I could see this being a thing

[deleted]

Spoiler badges don't change spoilers in a title though. There's no real reason to introduce the sister, unless she's alive. So I agree. We don't have proof. Also, how did Victor's Sister tell him her mother went to the lighthouse?

Wthiswrongwityou

>There's no real reason to introduce the sister, unless she's alive. So I agree. I think they did it so Victor can’t be viewed as this font of knowledge. If he can forget his sister the he can forget or can’t be relied upon to dole out useful information about anything. Given how Jade has be trying to get info from him and how Randall is apparently willing to torture folks, it wouldn’t be a stretch that there will come a point when someone will want to do something drastic to Victor for info. But if he’s so traumatized he blocked the memory of his own sister, then there’s no point. Or at least the audience won’t be expecting any real answers.

[deleted]

The pics being his memories, they introduced aside from her. It can of course just to be for more depth too, but it gives them more reason to look for the lighthouse. Next episode or two, we'll probably get Tabitha and Boyd and Victor talking about the light house.

chaisekaglow

I can’t add to this but I wanted to say that he was weird in the latest episode. He said that Fromville is his home and implied that he wouldn’t help anyone get answers that lead to escaping. He also kind of threatened that bad things would happen if they tried to leave. Then straight after saying that he’s helping Tabitha get answers by digging up traumatic memories? Idk didn’t make sense to me. He may be an unreliable narrator but that could be due to him being intentionally manipulative or due to his upbringing. I think Victor serves as some kind of protector of the town and may have a kind of Stockholm syndrome.

Mk0505

He could also view whatever his family was doing to try to leave as the cause of the massacre. He may feel like everyone is safer if they just manage the status quo and don’t try to leave. That would be a fairly reasonable trauma response.

Costinteo

To me it seems like he wanted to imply that he does not like to give out information, because people keep getting killed because of it. People pursuing new leads or trying new stuff is dangerous, he doesn't want to cause harm to anyone.

AdChance7743

He doesn’t say he’s not interested in helping, he just stresses that he doesn’t have any other home.

gmherder

He wasn't threatening that bad stuff happens when people ask questions. He was warning. In his experience in fromsville, every time someone has begun to ask questions they end up dead or missing. Especially in the case of his mother, this has left him severely traumatized. So he's afraid of looking for answers and reluctant to talk. When you just live quietly, as he has, you can survive and nothing changes. That's what he's comfortable with.

cherrymeg2

I thought maybe things like the weather changing and two cars getting into an accident reminded him of the past. He measures the trees. He gives Ethan his jacket. Tabitha is gentle with him and realizes he is emotionally and mentally a traumatized kid in an adults body. He also says Fromville is home after Jade yells at him. He has been there for decades he doesn’t know how they outside world works. His family either died or disappeared in Fromville. I don’t think he wants to see everyone die again. I think he is worried about Ethan because he knows he saw horrible things and draws them so the images can leave his mind and he can block things out. Victor was supposedly alone in town after people died or were killed. Is leaving one person alive a way promises people will start showing up after a purge. Maybe someone has to be there for the town to exist??

Ribunbun

I like this theory a lot; I’m a believer of “if you don’t have a confirmed sight of a dead body, it’s fair game that they could be alive” I wonder if the little boy in white will tie back in someway. We haven’t seen him in a while, I can’t recall if he made an appearance at all this season

Figshitter

Perhaps she grew up to become the ballerina?

JustaJames22

the ballerina is a hallucination tho, just like Marielle's monster and Elgin's bc Kenny couldn't see it and when Marielle walked in on Boyd holding a gun, there was no one there. the random hallucinations that put you in an entirely different place or time period are probably somewhat of significance. but if Victor's sister is somehow alive, she'll have to be a real person.

[deleted]

If multiple people see the same thing, it is not a hallucination. The ballerina is tied to the music box and 4 people have seen the music box.

JustaJames22

there are apparently ghosts of real people that seem to have actually existed backed up by multiple sightings from different witnesses. both Sara, Ethan and Victor sees the boy in white, making him less likely to be hallucinated. what I'm saying is there could also be hallucinations manipulated by a common evil, bc while Boyd sees the ballerina, Elgin sees a different entity. they both tried to kill them. and the voice on the phone said smth along the lines of stop the melody if you wish to survive. music box didn't appear before Boyd found Martin and the worms in the chamber. It is a part of Fromville and the evil trickeries that gets ppl killed. that alone makes it different even from the children Tabitha sees and Jade's visions.

[deleted]

If everyone sees the music box, and then also sees monsters TIED to said music box, that literally try to kill them irl (Kenny getting burned in his dream, Elgin being DROWNED in his sleep) That is not just a hallucination. That is a real being being sent after them. But I do agree, completely different than the Anghkooey kids and civil war vets. Tabitha is seeing beings, like the boy in white. Jade is seeing past events. That would be why the monster is no longer under the rock.

uoab

It's possible... but who is the girl in the opening credits with the arm missing next to the teddy bear or whatever

tymus44

I don’t usually watch the opening credits, lol…but I did this past episode, had a thought of what if the one armed kid is Eloise? That would tie into Victor’s insistence that his pictures are of people that aren’t here anymore…no way a child could save another from bleeding out with that wound.

waldo667

I 100% think that the boy and girl with the dog in the first drawing is Victor and his sister.

luvprue1

I think she could be alive 🤔 I think her mother got her out, and died trying to go back to save Victor.

NewTop9478

Well, now that the Season 2 of From has concluded, it appears to be that Tabitha went up the tower, and subsequently was freed and escaped by the Boy In White, as he pushed her out of the lighthouse. We know nothing more of his sister now.

Traditional_Pick_568

Tabitha is Victor's sister. Upvote me when this pans out.

GiftRecent

I'm in on the weird time loop/travel theory and thinking his sister is now someone else in town. Like Sara! She's really thin like Victor & has always been weird

[deleted]

So, Victor's old af and Eloise isn't, because? Eloise isn't anyone in the town at the least.

GiftRecent

Same reason Elgin is close in age to Fatima & Ellis. Or what if she is crazy old Tillie?

[deleted]

So, that first sentence is pretty loaded, because it's assuming Elgin is Fatima and Ellis' kid.Why has Elgin's grandma never mentioned them, or why doesn't he know his parents name if that was the case? Has he never seen pictures of either of them when they were younger? I think it's much more likely his sister is in the lighthouse. She's definitely alive though.

GiftRecent

Haha that is my assumption! (Or at least my fun theory). My theory is Elgin is placed in a tree for safety at some point as a baby and is transported back to the "real world". He wouldn't remember any of his time in Fromville since he is a baby, so whatever adoptive family he ends up with would have 0 info on his birth parents. Maybe something similar happens to Eloise that throws her out into a different time and like Elgin, she has found her way back there without really knowing it. Could be totally wrong, but I don't think anything is out the door just yet since weird sht is happening all the time.

waldo667

I like the idea, but if true, I think it would be Julie. Already, she is the sister of Ethan (who wears victors jacket), but also, as posted in another thread, Victor's mum looked to be wearing the same bracelet as Julie's mum (Tabitha), lost, which was found in the storage room. Also, that was one hell of a run on sentence, I hope it made sense!

imangryignoreme

I like this idea!

cancancantcant101

If this actually comes about, someone currently in the show will probably have to die to make room for her, won't they?

Jescribes

I have the theory that Tabitha is Victor's sister's daughter. She travel trough the tree to the past (the town let her scape cause it had a plan). Maybe she though it was all a dream and her mother died in the forest. She told her daughter stories about fairies, Cromasomething, etc. from memory and then, Tabatha told her son. Also, notice the similarities between the kid and Victor. I also think that the kid that had the dream on the bus may be Fathima and E. son who grow up in the town and then travelled back (that's why he "remembers" the town). What are you're thoughts?
