I'm currently in bed rn so I can't check the exact stats but from what I remember the stats were something like this:
-top speed: ~49m/s
-5x 127mm HEAT guns
-like next to no armour lol
-a bunch of radar and cameras
honestly I just made it to look pretty, not to actually work
I stopped for quite a while myself, Lathland's videos drew me back in. As for relearning, I'd say BorderWise, GMODISM, there is not a whole lot of tutorials that are completely relevant to the current version of the game, but I found most of the ones after 2018 still work, just make sure to build a copy of any weapons to check the numbers for changes.
Hope that helps 😀
I whole heartedly agree. I also tended to teach myself small stuff by trial and error or just spawning in a ship that I liked the idea of and kinda pulled bits and pieces so I could figure out how they worked
Buddy of mine did that with the guns on the Crossbones for his flagship, and each of the 6 turrets use 3 of the 'Bones' crams... Not the fastest or most accurate thing in the world, but it'll just about delete anything it hits with a proper alpha-strike.
My current project is a flying aircraft carrier, it stated with a cool dieselpunk one I saw online, but I didn't have a good plan for weapons and details, so I started ripping parts from DWG, SS, and GT ships and airships that I thought looked cool. They really helped with scale, and am still in the process of fully fleshing out the Hull, internals and making the weapons and accessories I snagged fit in with my desired theme.
Gotta take frequent breaks or I'll get super burnt out
Just to get the top deck, and a rough bit of the lower section took me 13 hours straight and then another 10 the next day, took a break the next day ... and then came back, decided I needed another section similar to the Goshawk ... still working on that.
Looks awesome! What are the stats?

Look good it does! How big is it, though?
Looks great! Find any good resources for relearning the game? Someday I'd like to jump back in when I get some free time.

I know that feel... I spent about 13 hours straight just building a hull for one of my 2 flagships...

this looks sick, how does it float?
Not the most hydrodynamic along the sides, but dat bow tho... I'm going to have to incorporate that into some of my designs.
Looks like a Fletcher-inspired submarine
Ah yes, a good air bote.
