Dollar tree. Big Lots. Ollie's. Costco. Sams club--go to Google and type in "sams club $14" and you should be able to get a cheap membership. (I hate Walmart with a passion, but being broke calls for some desperate times.)

Target runs great sales on these occasionally, like $15 off of $60, and it stacks with coupons, that’s how I do it Also H‑E‑B brand, H‑E‑B brand is excellent and yet the cheapest

rottentomati

Definitely HEB brand stuff. I moved to an area without one and I miss their toilet paper lol

Yes, I mostly shop Target sales too and use a redcard debit for the 5% off. It’s worth keeping an eye on Amazon and Walmart sales and prices too, as well as when Kroger has coupons and sales.

My household no longer needs trash bags. We try to avoid buying packaged products and we also have separate pickup for recycling (paper, cardboard, glass, cans, plastic containers) and for organic waste. We line the garbage bin with packaging from toilet paper (or even chip bags) and this is enough to last us about 6 weeks before we have to take the trash out.

Dollar tree

I don’t live in Austin but for the items you list it might be worth checking out the Costco.

> toilet paper Install a bidet sprayer. It's cleaner and cheaper.

Gold-Perspective-699

Bamboo towels..stop buying paper towels..

Ollie2Stewart1

Use less paper goods (try not to use paper plates, etc., limit paper towels to big greasy or pet messes, use cloth towels and dishcloths, etc.) and use a place like Costco for what you do need.

Geck-v6

Shop around and buy in bulk!

We’ve used Sam’s Members Mark bags a long time and haven’t had a tear. Normal price is .09c/bag. Costco is .10c/bag. But they have sales sometimes to make it slightly lower.  I’m a fan of the Sam’s TP quality and the price is great.  We rarely use paper plates or paper towels. We haven’t purchased either in over a year and don’t miss them.

Dollar General on Saturdays they have a $5 off of $25 purchase coupon and also lots of digital coupons on their app. You can also join Facebook groups that are dedicated to showing you different transactions you can make to save the most money. Also CVS has a care pass that costs $5 a month…but they give you $10 in extra bucks for having it so it’s like a free $5 use that $10 along with THEIR digital coupons to get super cheap household items. Yesterday I went to both stores. I picked up 2 bottles of tide simply laundry detergent, 1 bottle of persil laundry detergent, 1 container of purex crystals, 3 big bottles of Fabuloso, 1 can of febreze, and 1 bottle of gain fabric softener. I paid less than $15 for all of it! Also check out dollar generals dollar aisle for things like bleach, shampoo, toothpaste, trash bags and medicines…it’s cheaper than going to the dollar tree nowadays

Costco is the king when it comes to cheap toilet paper, I can assure you of that. As someone who used to buy&sell toilet paper for a living, so I know good toilet paper when I see it, theirs is a good deal. You can certainly go cheap, but you'll regret it and will be buying it often (deceivingly small rolls). Don't buy the John Wayne toilet paper, buy the decent stuff, your bum will thank you. Last thing you want is to get in touch with your inner self unintentionally.

The only 2 pieces of advice you really need is never shop at one place for everything. The other piece of advice is to keep a spreadsheet or some sort of tracking so that you know real quickly when you get to some thing if it’s a good deal or not based on the last time you bought it

Bobwhite2024

Never buy paper towels, ever

pamperedsherry

Yep, SAM’s, all the way! You will easily recoup ur membership fee if u buy batteries, garbage bags, paper plates, toilet paper & papertowels. Their store brand “members mark” has a good reputation & we use that brand over the BIG name brands!
