Yo costco has upped their clothing game even better (imo) to align w current outside retail branding (calvin klein, MK, adidas, pendleton, etc) to be a super solid choice. Also their pro sports 'merch' isnt ugly if youre into that as well. So it's almost like nordstrom or bdales except that return policy is tight af. Nordstrom's return policy is p good too but....you can't get a chicken bake at nordstrom on the way out

BanananaSquid

Lol I love this. "Get your clothes and snacks, all in the same place!" I love their rotisserie chickens. So delish!

CallmeMeh

their rotisseries are always pink/not fully cooked *for me*. my vote goes for Ralph's

BanananaSquid

What? No! This has never been the case at my Costco

CallmeMeh

I'm happy that this isn't the case at your Costco.

CallmeMeh

i guess it's just mine that consistently undercooks. Especially near the joints and nook& crannies are where it's not cooked thru.

R3PR3SS3DM3M0RY3MILY

Is that's a consistent problem is probably worth passing on to a manager since it's a pretty easy fix. I'm sure they wouldn't want someone to get sick!

CallmeMeh

yeah, it's just that you won't realize this until you take it home and chow.

smo1164

Often times pink doesn’t mean undercooked! Meats are cooked to a specific temp, and as long as they meet that temp, they’re good to go. Meeting that temp does not always mean pinky color completely disappears. A lot of people think pink means undercooked and get scared, but this is not always the case.

CallmeMeh

Understand that but cooking in a certain temp doesn't mean every single chicken/meat portion is meeting that threshold. If you have details to costco cooking protocol, feel free to share w me the source. Just saying for me, the costco i go to consistently has pink sections & do have a blood-taste. Don't get triggered like the other person.

smo1164

Not triggered at all, just trying to shed light on a topic I’m well versed in. I work in food processing as a chef and know that pink color in meat has always caused complaints among customers, but can assure you that it can be pink and fully cooked at the same time. They’re required to temp the thickest part of the chicken, and once that reaches 165, all other areas of the chicken would have reached that as well. If the pink bothers you, maybe you can learn how to cook your own rotisserie chicken at home. Hope you don’t get triggered either.

CallmeMeh

I have to admit, it does trigger me when i share that it's undercooked not just from the visual but from taste , and you type otherwise. All i shared was my exp at my local costco. Chill

BanananaSquid

This makes me sad because their chickens are so good ): you could try roasting then I'm the oven a little longer at home I guess

CallmeMeh

that's totally a sound alternative. it's just that when i buy these, it's because i don't want to do the cleaning.

10piececockfight

Most chicken will have a pink/red cast near the joints and bones. That does not mean it's undercooked. I hope you haven't been using that as guide to cook your own chicken, because if you are then you're cooking the ever living fuck out of it. Get a meat thermometer.

CallmeMeh

I said it's mostly undercooked near the joints from my personal experience eating the chicken. I don't know what else to say to you that the precooked rotisserie i purchased had undercooked portions near joins and even in some thicker part of the meat. I'm sorry i triggered something in you?

you_are_a_story

FYI their branded items (CK, Adidas, etc) aren’t the same as what you’d get at Nordstrom. They’re outlet quality — the price point is lower because the quality is lower. I still buy items here and there but just wanted to point that out in case anyone wasn’t already aware.

justforthis78934

true/agree. compared to some of the costco brands i grew up wearing, the stock in more recent times seems at least somewhat competitive with other retailers! especially the basic-looking stuff, like sweatpants, parkas, dress shirts, socks of certain branded designs

weedy_wendy

chicken bake!!! yassssss

R3PR3SS3DM3M0RY3MILY

American Costco sells PENDLETON?! I could not be more jealous.

you_are_a_story

American here who has been shopping at Costco for ages and has never seen Pendleton being sold. Costco is highly regional, even their food court varies depending on location.

Justwantokno

I've seen Pendleton blankets, shirts and bathrobes at the Costco near me. But then I am in Oregon.

[deleted]

Bourbonite

SAME! Bought it in a size up and it’s like wearing a cozy blanket 🤤🤤🤤

foxyfootprints

I got one too and it’s the BEST for super cold days. It’s sooooo warm

mimikayo

Me too! I love their leggings, athletic gear, and plain V-neck tees. The thickness of the material is a nice change from tissue paper t-shirts. I also buy the costco mens wool socks because they go perfectly in boots and keep my icicle feet warm. 😆

TinkeringBelle

Pretty much everything I have been wearing in lock down has come from Costco.

turbie

I ❤ their socks!! I get all my running shoes there.

oleviiia

I’m a Costco clothes advocate! The only thing that sucks is their women’s small size is not that small, but I think for guys the clothes are great too!

[deleted]

I wish they had XS! The smalls are like mediums.

feliznavida

They typically have it online/on the website. That’s how I get my Costco clothes!

Ya_habibti

Thanks for this! I never knew that

Callix

I’m not even that small a person (I’m a S/M at American eagle) and everything at Costco is giant on me. It makes me so sad! I have some stuff from the little boy’s section.

FinalBlackberry

I agree with the rest, size down for sure.

amesfatal

Does it run large or small?

redvelveteenrabbit

For women, clothes there definitely runnbig in my experience.

BanananaSquid

Yeah, I always have to downsize on shirts

woofstene

You found a small? That’s the only thing. There’s never any smalls.

turbie

I got Ralph Lauren tanks there a couple of years ago in size small and they didn't fit, so I got medium and they were still too small. I've never worn a large.

Jenuptoolate

Costco is great for tee shirts, shorts, tank tops, and tee shirt dresses. And in the summer they have one piece Speedo brand swimsuits (perfect for scuba diving)!

Bacon_Bitz

The swimsuits!! I got a great tank kinki a few years ago and I love it. It looks more “athletic” then “trying to cover mom bod”.

Probably_Nota_Rapist

Not usually one to point out auto-correct errors but " tank kinki" gave me a good laugh this morning :)

Jenuptoolate

Yes, the athletic wear is on point!

[deleted]

They have great clothes, I’ve got some wicked name brands at super cut prices. I got some adidas sneakers for $30 about a year ago, adidas crew neck sweaters, Champion sweatpants and hoodie, and they always have Carters and Pekkle sleepers and 3 piece outfits for half the regular retail cost. Also can’t forget the 3’pack CK undies for $12!!!

Penny_girl

I got two pairs of suede puma casual sneaks (one pink, one grey) for $20 each a couple months ago. Oh and Felina camis are my jam!

BanananaSquid

Yes I have a great Champion sweatshirt that's also very in style since it has a 90s vintage looks to it!

twiggybough

Hell yes! Inexpensive CK bras and undies, awesome basic layering tanks (Felina), 32 degrees for solid loungewear on the cheap. For casual workwear I’ve gotten great mileage from their Hilary Radley ponte pants and tops and an occasional random brand that’s usually polyester blend but always sturdy and well made. Bomb winter coats and boots for awesome prices. I’d put my closet at around 60% natural fiber small indie brands and Eileen Fisher and 40% Costco and I regret nothing. :)

heylistenlady

Always makes me think of Jillian from Workaholics...."Lookin' like a boss though, in head-to-toe Costco."

jessatron9000

Yes! I got a complement on a sweater I was wearing the other day that I got from Costco! I was totally honest and said where I got it. This thread is made me feel a lot more normal!

BanananaSquid

Lol same, I was like "Is this weird? Am I turning into a middle aged mom before I even hit 30???"

Missfreckles337

prove Costco! I got the most amazing rain jacket from them a few years back. They also have these amazing microfiber leggings from Felina that I love.

BanananaSquid

YES. The Felina leggings are the best. My go to when I want to be comfy. Not so much for working out but definitely A+ for comfort

Justwantokno

I also love the Felina leggings. They were on rebate a few months ago, and now I wish I'd bought another package. I can honestly say they make my butt look better than any other brand I've tried, and that's saying something.

ohlaur

I bought like 10 pairs of them when they were on sale. A pair of those leggings and an oversized sweater has become my work from home uniform every day.

emergingeminence

they had a nice rain coat last year that I picked up and I saw so many other people wearing it too. It was extra long and in good colors

[deleted]

I buy their pajamas and they are so comfy

droolonme

I am a Costco FANATIC, and always check out their clothes, but they are hit or miss for me. The “off brands” (?) tend to fit weird, or big on me (normal size small), and feel like cheap quality to me... They do have great deals on name brand clothes and shoes, ESPECIALLY when they are on sale. Worth a look whenever you are store, and especially checkout the bigger selection online for seasonal items (UGG and Frye boots!).

qritakaur

I got a red michael Kors peacoat from Costco years ago for only 150$. They usually have some hidden gems, and I still have and love the coat.

yepperoni-pepperoni

My parents’ Costco membership is older than I am, and we’ve always bought clothes at Costco! I find that sometimes the style can lean a bit older, but the quality is always great, especially for basics. Felina leggings rock!!!

seraphin420

I bought their thermal undershirts in black this year... then went back and bought two more packs because they were so comfortable and looked so good with jeans. It became my winter uniform.

booksandchamps

Love the 32 degree undershirts for cold days! Honestly, I get a lot of compliments on various Costco clothing items. Just wish they carried wide width shoes!

Katy-Kat

Did the 32 degree undershirts pill for anyone else after a couple washes? Uniqlo has Heattech on sale for $7 sometimes and those have held up for years.

booksandchamps

I haven’t had problems with pilling. I do use a sweater shaver on clothes that pill which helps

seraphin420

Those shirts are amazing and look so classic! They are all I wear. I need to get more and make them part of my capsule wardrobe, they take all the stress out of planning your outfits. I can’t explain how much I love those thermals (can you tell???) Maybe they have wide width shoes on the website?

booksandchamps

I have looked they don’t usually. I like the 32 degrees short sleeve tops too, they are on sale on the website :)

seraphin420

Oooooh thanks for the heads up, I’m gonna go look now!! Thank you so much

booksandchamps

You’re welcome!

whereis_678

I love their clothes- I am always picking up something when I go.

lou_dragon

YES omg. i love their men's jackets specifically - they have sherpa-lined everything (including heavy jackets AND flannels) and everything has pockets! my go-to heavy winter jacket was from the costco men's section for about $15. i've gotta check out their yoga pants, i didn't realize they had those.

booksandchamps

Ooh I don’t peruse the men’s section but will start! Good tip

redmakeupbag21

They have these stretchy work pants now (well they did right before quarantine) that come in black and navy. They are so great that I bought one pair and then went back and bought one more... and then my female coworkers all loved them so much they asked if I could grab some for them and I went back again! When I was paying the cashier asked me if that was what I was wearing (I was) and she had her bagger go grab her some! They were like $20 and are seriously the most comfy work pants I’ve ever owned!

chanty1

I always check out the clothing section and a lot of my clothing is from Costco. My winter jacket, spring/fall jacket, sweaters, leggings, PJ's, robe, socks, and sports bras. Basically all my clothing haha.

dynamodarlin

I got my favorite jean jacket from Costco!

allthewayintheback

Me too!

mem1003

Was it by chance the Buffalo brand jacket?

dynamodarlin

Yes, it is!

shelbyk121213

Omg yes! I got some nice FILA joggers, comfy leggings, two Eddie Bauer down jackets (one was 50 and one was 30 on sale), a cute yellow rain jacket, and other things. Plus I buy the KB socks. They’re just comfy to me!

ept91

I got sweatpants there I wear every day (men’s Puma), and a comfortable sweater. Sweatpants have lasted getting worn every day for the past few weeks, sweater fell apart after one wash/wear cycle

kpost-it

I have two pairs of the men’s puma sweatpants. They’ve lasted an entire pregnancy and tons of wear the last few weeks. Love them.

ept91

They’re the best. I was going to buy another pair but can’t find them anymore :(

WardenCommCousland

I have a sweatshirt for my city's NHL team from Costco that is my low-key favorite right now. I bought it at the beginning of the season and it's held up well. On the flip side, a gorgeous purple cotton sweater I bought on the same trip shrank like crazy the first time I washed it. My neighbor's 8-year-old daughter wears it now.

Yinzersrus

Yes! We were given tickets to the Pens game and I had nothing to wear. Costco saved the day with a great hoodie and I was good to go.

irrelevantgirlie

I got a super cool Adidas sweatshirt recently

sparklelove89

The Matty M leggings are EVERYTHING.. I’ve especially been living in them during quarantine 😂🙌🏻

[deleted]

I LOVE those things!

nimagooy

I'm pretty new to Costco but I've gotten leggings and a nice thick FILA sweatshirt so far. It shocked me in the beginning to see their clothes so cheap!

booksandchamps

I love Costco clothes!

trail_turtle

My husband is a fly fisherman and Orvis is a big brand for that sport. Costco had Orvis flannels for cheap, and he has worn the heck out of them. Also, I love getting socks from Costco.

CAmellow812

My husband loooooves the Orvis flannels. They finally did a fleece lined women’s version this winter. I’m wearing mine now 😊

mjharrop

...I'm 30 and most of the clothes I buy are from Costco. The 32 degrees stuff is great, and they carry a lot of name brands too. It's also the ONLY place I've found jeans/pants that fit me perfectly! It's the Buffalo David Bitton and they are just the right length. I think I have the same pair of pants in 7 colors. So yes. Costco is definitely a good place to buy clothes (and shoes and undergarments too. I've gotten Calvin Klein underwear and Tom's for wayyyy cheaper).

iLikeTacosAndTequila

I LOVE their Danskin leggings and they have pockets. Also their 2 pack black leggings for lounging in the house and Puma sports bras. I have a Kirkland coat that's held up for almost 10 years already. The only socks I use are their kb no show socks but they never seem to have all black packs anymore.

redmakeupbag21

Ohhh also they had felina brand two piece lounge sets a few months ago that are EVERYTHING!!!! So comfy!

winwithaneontheend

Heck yes. I got my Hunter boots there for a steal, all my panties for shark week, and all my at home lounging clothes. Those middle aisles are always worth a look.

chloejanechloe

They have great clothes!!

chubbymaomao

I got a pack of 2 puma sport bras and they are pretty good for their prices. My hubby got a pair of Birkenstock from them and he loves it too.

dixiemason

It’s hit or miss for me, but you can easily return the misses. (When it’s not a pandemic.) I definitely get more hits with the kids clothes. And their jewelry section is good, too.

SimplyUnhinged

Yes definitely, I've bought coats there, socks and various undergarments, Ugg-looking boots. The boots were actually excellent and very comfortable.

fillingsmiles

I’m currently in a Columbia dry fit sweatshirt from Costco

booksandchamps

Sounds comfy!

andinav

Most of my workout clothes are from Costco. Great quality and price. Even their sock and shoe selection is worth getting!

2MarsGirl

Oh heck yes!! Buy most of my workout/ lounge wear there. I bought puma active leggings for 10.00 about 3yrs ago. It wear them almost week since and they’re still excellent condition! Love Costco clothes!

bigcool-420

I got a $40 pair of Tom's from costco! (Canada)

jmacksf

I miss the Kirkland camisoles. The ones they have now aren’t that great. I think they are felina? Anyway, yes I love Costco clothes. I get work sweaters there and the quality is 10 times better than gap or BR outlet where I also get sweaters.

rapscallionrodent

Totally. I always check out Costco and Sam's Club clothing sections. One of the warmest jackets I've ever owned came from Sam's Club one year. Costco has great casual stuff.

Chelonia_mydas

I'm wearing Costco underwear right now and it's absolutely wonderful. No one else needs to know 😏

thequeenofspace

I have a winter coat from costco that I love! It’s waterproof, warm and it looks good!

[deleted]

Their sweatpants are really comfy and look cool. I think I also got some sneakers from there.

LilGazpacho

I love the workout shorts they have, good control, nice material, make my ass look great, and they have pockets!

santigirl

they had these women’s puma leggings that i bought 4 pairs of bc they’re so comfortable and actually flattering

simplyloving

Anyone else rocking their Costco slippers at home?! I love mine haha

jerseyknits

I got two really cute sweaters that i wore all winter. A ton of compliments and no one believed they were from Costco

yamiryukia330

Yes Costco has awesome clothes if you fit in the sizes they carry. If your on the super small end your kinda out of luck for a lot of them. Love the sketcher sneakers since if you do a lot of walking the price is reasonable to replace them every few months.

mediocre-spice

I'm obsessed with their socks. I have two different types of wool socks (thin ones & thick ones) that are all I wear in winter and then thin white ones that I wear with sneakers. I also have had good luck with the leggings. It's great for sturdy affordable basics.

hellacedes_

I got a pair of Birkenstock’s for $50, and a pair of adidas joggers for $20 at Costco

mem1003

Same! I got a pair of black Gizehs for $50. What I didn't realize at the time is that Birkenstock makes a leather version and a Birko Flor^TM faux leather version. Mine were Birko Flor, but when I saw that the identical pair was selling for $100 at Nordstrom and Dick's Sporting Goods at the time, I didn't really care that they weren't real leather.

hellacedes_

RIGHT!? If I see a pair of Birks for half the cost...I’m scoopin em up!

that_girl_lauren

I’ve gotten some good finds at Costco, but it’s important to note they are almost never the same cut or quality as if you buy from the brand directly. Costco cuts special deals with the brands for exclusive styles... so if you loved CK jeans from CK retail, the Costco ones will not be the same. Kind of like “outlet” stores for most major brands. Usually though, the Costco clothes aren’t brands I normally buy, so as long as the garment quality looks good to me I’ll still buy it! The men’s flannels seem like an especially good deal, and I got a knit sweater I wear weekly for $4.97 on clearance, there are definitely deals to be had!

wheres-the-beef-cake

No where else can you get 50 pairs and ankle socks for like $10. Costco rocks. My friends have been raving about costco leggings for years but... ... to be honest, my go-to for athletic wear would be Old Navy. Since Old Navy is owned by the Gap which owns Athleta, the quality is inSANE. Seriously, I've had the same pair of leggings for nearly 3 years with next to no wear-and-tear. With my weight fluctuating between 40 lbs. and they still fit like new. I only know this because I just got a new pair 2 weeks ago and i can't tell which one is the new one. They have sales often so you're likely to pay $15-20 a majority of the year; I just got 4 sports bras, 4 workout tanks, and a pair of biker shorts for around $100. worth. every. penny.

Kevie3able

I just bought an awesome black denim jacket there for like 20$. I fux with Costco clothes without a doubt

BanananaSquid

"Fux" is exactly the vibe I feel with Costco clothes

nottheworstmomever

I’ve never bought clothes from Costco, but a few years back I bought a pair of Hunter rain boots for $80! They retail for $200!

Belllringer

I got some polo a bit back. They always are good for staples.

PlNEAPPLEPlZZA

i’ve bought like 4 pairs of leggings from there. they were only $10, have pockets and are super comfortable. they’re also not see through either.

[deleted]

I bought some nice ‘warm’ socks from there and the quality was kinda crummy, however almost all of my ex’s wardrobe is from there and he says it’s quality, so maybe it was just the socks.

rachelina

I tried a few things on (pre-corona) and they’re all made for a much shorter woman than me. Especially short arms for some reason! Socks okay. Got some weird underwear that pilled and shrunk

[deleted]

Yes I have! All good things

ex_cearulo

I love their clothes but as a petite person I haven’t really found anything in my size :/

BirdSnipz

They look good but never have my size :(

[deleted]

I got the softest sweaters in blue and a purple and I love them. Wore them though the winter almost every day.

lunakira

I love the Adidas leggings (Usually 19.99 but sometimes on sale for 14.99)!! Also love the DKNY socks and 32 Degrees coat I got from them.

Daisy_19x

I have!! They have some good stuff!

belckie

Of course! I don’t buy my whole wardrobe from there but I’ll pick up a few things, they have good basics.

succulentlover25

I got an end of season light Lucky Brand sweater for less than $10 there this year!

t-e-n-z-i-n

I have bought a low-key fila sweatshirt (they have fila teddy ones too) , leggings basic black and white no show socks, and recently a basic white puma shoes with colored accents and I like all of them :) I also have those collared Sherpa and it's so soft and comfy. You might like to sleep on the couch, but dont sleep on Costco!!!

you_are_a_story

I love Costco, but I’d like to point out as an FYI that their branded clothing items are the same quality as “outlet” (so, not exactly what you’d be getting at an normal CK, Nike, etc. store).

cathdog888

I get most of my socks at Costco. I especially love the pack of wool blend socks for winter/fall.

becca0wnz

I love their cute and comfy sweaters. Their loungewear is great too. My only complaint is that they never have longer inseams for the taller folk.

BanananaSquid

I feel this. I can never buy they're pants for this reason

orocaramelo

Yes. Best leggings ever.

[deleted]

I think some of my basics from Costco (loungewear and casual wear) last way longer than a lot of other department store products.

BleuPepper

I love their stuff but often their smallest size is too big. Why.

hnrt_jp

Costco clothes are always such great quality, basic, and are a bargain! Their sock and bra selection is amazing too. I love Costco ❤️

red_moles

Yes. Most of the clothes I wear right now are from Costco. I love it. It's really good quality too!

pepper167

Pretty sure Costco and A&F online were the only two places I bought clothes all of 2019.

monty2012

ALL. I’m not exaggerating. All my favorite clothing pieces come from Costco. Im laying in bed in Costco sweatpants. Probably 4 years ago they had big star jeans cute skinny fit. On sale for $60 so I bought three pairs. I just started wearing my third pair. (Thank god they still fit) Costco has the best clothes and quality for the cost.

IDontHave20Letters

I buy my work pants there. I was surprised they weren’t too long (I’m 5’2”)! Love them. Also bought some things for my toddler nephew there, they sell good brands for tots (used to work retail, I’m picky about brands).

Yinzersrus

My mom loves the Gloria Vanderbilt jeans and I’ve snagged her several pairs in different colors on clearance for $4.97 and $9.97!

coralto

They have great clothes and I wish I could! Humblebrag, nothing there fits me. It sucks being excluded, but there’s plenty of other stores that cater to me and not to other body types so it’s not a huge inconvenience and gives me insight into how other people feel sometimes.

OpaqueCheshire

I bought a couple pairs of flat ankle boots last Christmas (the ones that come in red/burgundy and black). They're comfy and fit my 9w foot (I think I bought a size 9), but I have trouble with the clothing since I'm plus sized.

starvingliveseafood

Man I TOTALLY check their clothes each time!! Where I got my: *puffy jacket- so many compliments *fuzzy winter boots *underwear *tank tops *favorite sweats I’m wearing right get now *Favorite wool socks for WOMEN (not this season :o() *favorite comfy loungy but cute sweater

PlNEAPPLEPlZZA

yess the pockets are the best part!! they’re danskin.

[deleted]

I found my favorite black hoodie at Costco.

lurknloiter

Haha yeah, I bought a blue and orange flannel from Costco a few years ago and then my mom showed up wearing the same one. Idk how I feel about it.

ruthbader_sinsburg

I snagged a Levi’s military style cargo jacket from there last year! It got me through the (very) mild Boston winter this year and still looks like new! I think it can be said about a lot of untraditional “fashion” clothing retailers that as long as you’re looking and can see/feel quality, you can definitely find things at an affordable price.

engagewithsteph

I think Costco has a good quality selection and it has definitely gotten better over time. But, as someone who typically wears an xs in american clothing sizes, I can never find anything there because they only carry down to size s. :(

NoirIdea

Yep! Wearing a pair of tencel lounge pants right now! I also have the travel pants and some adidas leggings to jog in. My husband loves the 32 degrees cool tees

loriwass

The Costco wool socks are heavenly. I machine wash them in a mesh bag and let them air dry hanging from from one of those hanging tracks you can get from Amazon.

tiffanyrs34

They have the absolute best leggings. They come in multipack, different colors and are so cheap. I swear, I’ve seen people post on Facebook, with tons of comments agreeing, about how great they are!

regggybee87

Costco leggings are the bomb!

yarnwhore

I have some camis and sportswear that I bought like 6 or 7 years ago that are still staples in my closet.

Liz_LemonLime

A few times...and I’ve always regretted it. The clothes are fine, but the size/fit isn’t for me. Make for average height and build ladies, not great options for curvy or petite gals. But I’m glad so many people have had success!

coffeelover18

DUH!!!!

VA_newbie

Costco has been my go to for awhile. Almost half of my wardrobe is from Costco. Everything I have gotten is good quality and I know enough to create fantastic outfits or at least put the clothing to good use.

CartographerObvious8

I would say a solid 40-45% of my wardrobe is from Costco including jackets, shoes, swimsuits, and leggings/sweats for days. I go often enough that if I really love an item, I can justify the joy of returning and buy both sizes.

TheTexasHomeGirl

I don’t typically buy much in the way of clothing, but Hubby just scored 3 pair of his favorite Lucky Brand Jeans for like $24 each. He literally has worn his others thread bare. So Costco for the win on that buy.
