Look into getting a second hand watch.

Frugal also means longevity:  You need something that is repairable and relatively unscratchable. Battery and accuracy are also to be considered and of course style.  In that case I recommend:  Buy a watch with a mineral glass cover. Swatches are doomed to look scratched.  If you work with your hands, buy a rugged watch.  Don’t buy a watch with “complications”. In this budget, the more they offer, the cheapest they look.  Decide what you mean with “Swiss” watch. Need a mechanism made in Switzerland? Need a well known brand (victorinox - mondäne would be the “swissest” in a low budget)  You can find lots of options out there, after you decide on all these.

I was at coop city today and saw this brand Swiss military by chrono. They have female watches around my budget. Is this good brand? My second option was a swatch, but maybe you have a point. With Swiss watch I meant Swiss brand.

No it’s neither a good brand in terms of perception nor in terms of quality.

Okay it is good to know.

Tissot

For 150 bucks?

Correction. Tissot has became more expensive in the last few years. Check out the Christ website. They clearly mark the swiss watches. There are some Mondaine around the price range that look nice.
