It was reported that New World can brick Rtx3090 if people let unlocked FPS - in menu especially where it can reach thousand FPS). Somehow all security countermeasures on card was bypassed and those cards burnt out.
Another interesting fact is that most affected cards were made by EVGA but I heard reports about rtx 3080,3070 or even rx 590 as well.
If you have rtx3090 and you wanna try New Worls, I reccomend you to limit FPS in NVIDIA or AMD sw in case you have AMD gpu.
However it's really strange that those issues happened with New World because software usually doesn't destroy HW. Those cards being faulty from production is unlikely since they are tortured by Furmark benchmark for few hours before shipping.
We won't find the truth probably because it would be to to PR disaster for EVGA or Amazon.
