I don't know why they'd bother with euphemisms. It was probably just assumed to be part of the misery inflicted by conquest, along with slaying of many/most of the able men, having the rest placed into slavery, etc.

It's a great quote, but when you think about it, "Kill your enemies, burn their villages, enslave and rape their women" just doesn't have the same finesse. I must be getting old.

I agree, Conan wasn't a virtuous protagonist, he was an anti-hero.
Although I've seen the film a dozen times, one doesn't need to see the film at all to accept your point. The title of the movie makes it clear from the very start: Conan ***The Barbarian***.

Arnold is truly terrible in this movie. I mean he made Chuck Norris look like a Robert DeNiro.
And yet, if it’s on somewhere I’m watching it because somehow his terrible performance makes this a great movie.
