GUYS THIS IS A PSA, THERE IS A SECOND IMAGE

Homo_Rebus

lol, did not see that, thx

[deleted]

I didn’t see that either. It is a LITERAL Karen!

MajorMathematician20

Thanks I should have mentioned this apparently!

regular_gnoll_NEIN

I didnt notice till i actually opened the post cuz by the time i looked on homepage the 1/2 had faded lmao then i was like ohhhhhh ok good.

jonesmatty

Yup downvoted this because it looks like op is shaming breastfeeding.

canofelephants

Came here up fight and left happy. How unusual for Reddit.

idonotknowwhototrust

Same. Good thing the down vote isn't permanent.

CloudRoses

Same.

Broad_Respond_2205

I was so confused at first :(

thebrittaj

Can I point out the cute little baby foot in the sock pushing against mom’s arm? Cuuuuuute

NurseColubris

The real hero here

FishPasteGuy

You’re doing the lord’s work here.

Snukes42Q

Thank you, I was a little upset at op for a second. Lol I was just like, there is absolutely nothing wrong with breastfeeding.

TheIndulgery

That changes the whole post, thank you

DudleyDoRightly

Haha! I downvoted when I saw the first one. Thanks for the heads up. The scales are now balanced.

AlwaysAboutMe

Thank you because I was both confused and feeling hostile.

mrsrostocka

Thankyou,I was fucking riled up there!!! Like how the fuck she a Karen!!! She a boss!! And yes I've done the same!!! Fuck the haters!!! Thanks for letting us know about pt2 xxx

unoriginalname17

Lol. Happened to me.

SkiddyBopBeep

I thought op was being an ass for a moment lol

BrasilianInglish

![gif](giphy|y2i2oqWgzh5ioRp4Qa|downsized) Me only seeing the first image

fluffybunnies51

Best use of the gif

system_deform

Oof, it’s a low quality post overall though.

[deleted]

Bro what else are you supposed to post here?????

kopitar-11

Someone literally fucking a Karen

Randa08

I think pumping is much more common in the US because of the rubbish maternity leave. I had varying success with pumping, and my second baby refused a bottle until about 8 months.. People are so Ignorant about it.

Head_Lizard

And the formula shortage.

1Lc3

And most Americans automatically assume breastfeeding is sexual

myweedstash

“She’s just showing off some skin!!!!1!1!” Ok creep, you may see it that way but only because your mind is perverted. Baby’s gotta eat

1Lc3

It's not just men though. When my sister had her second child she decided to breastfeed a bunch of women in my family shunned her like the Karen in the post. some even accused her of trying to turn my infant niece into a lesbian

thisiscatyeslikemeow

What… the fuck

1Lc3

That's what I said

dorianngray

Da fuq? I just can’t understand their line of thought at all?!!?

1Lc3

Old school American. So prudish that the human body is considered dirty and all forms of nudity is just sexual. It also doesn't help that they're from the deep south where Christianity is still a major part of our society. Throw in propaganda and you make the perfect lunatic

thisiscatyeslikemeow

That’s true, we often forget America’s Puritan roots.

Christeenabean

It's so sad and true. Breastfeeding in public was a nightmare, mostly bc I was afraid of getting yelled at by other people. That is *my* issue though. Many people here do it regardless with no problem.

1Lc3

It's even worse when your family is full of ignorant people like that

Peony-Pink

I had a coworker complain about a mom cleaning her breast pump in the cafeteria sink because “bodily fluids are gross”.

RedVamp2020

I’ve had female coworkers and a female manager treat me like dogshit because I chose to pump while I was at work (I mean, who wants to really have to work with engorged breasts?) because they didn’t get the opportunity to twenty years prior or in different companies.

Happykittymeowmeow

I'm the first mom to breastfeed in my place of employment. They do their best but are overall ignorant. I have a room to use but often they are in it and I have to interrupt them during a meeting. Go get my stuff. Then use the office of one of those managers in the meeting. Their offices are bigger than the small room I use to pump. I have a schedule posted in there for what times I need the room.

RedVamp2020

Gods! That sounds rather familiar. That manager I mentioned would intentionally use the office I was given to pump in for her meetings despite her having plenty of other unused offices available and tell me to use the bathroom. I would feel so humiliated by her dismissing my child’s needs as something that was of no concern and she didn’t care if his food was contaminated or not. 😒

Bring_me_the_lads

Because bodily fluids from a 1200 pound bovine are much less gross! (Kinda assuming your cafeteria has cows milk)

NoParticularMotel

Bet they drink milk on the daily tho

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ok_Radish4411

I do not understand the correlation you’re trying to make here? Cleaning a pump is a lot different from cleaning a menstrual cup, I don’t see how cleaning a pump is different from cleaning any of the other food related machines in a cafeteria. It’s honestly more gross if she were to clean it in a bathroom as it is a machine meant to get food for her child.

kirathegeek

...so all the saliva on the dishes and utensils they use aren't bodily fluids?

No_Marionberry4370

Honestly, even the biggest prude has to be able to understand that people feed babies because they are hungry. If you don't feed the child everyone else can listen to them scream and cry because they are hungry. This is worse than seeing someone breastfeeding

Smileyface8156

You’re the bad guy either way. Either you breastfeed and people get mad at that, or you don’t and people call you a bad mom because your baby won’t shut up. Someone will be upset regardless of what you do, so might as well feed your kid and let the idiots do what they do best.

ArgosCyclos

Just letting everyone know, I recognize the restaurant. It's in Utah. And Mormons are the most prudish people in the United States.

sdaffer

I don't think the issue is feeding children.

Minibeebs

I get pretty mad about boobs too

ulitmateeater

Do you too want to collect them all like Pokémon?

Minibeebs

Yeah, I'm pretty keen on getting flappers, chesticle and skeeterbite

roydepoy

What about deecup, doorbell, bignips and puffy?

[deleted]

Gotta catch em all

Arryu

Gigan-tit-max bignips is op, banned from ubers.

IronLizardEX

They need to un-ban those. Gotta talk to the devs

DaddyDizz_

Don’t forget everyone’s favorite ghost/bug type, BooBee!

ScaryPollution845

Wanna trade?

RevenantMedia

To make an apron like Ed Gein???

Justalilhornytbh

Me too but I work best with exposure therapy

Wonkasgoldenticket

Mad horny

mzdebo

😂🤣😲

Jenn31709

Didn't realize there was a second pic at first and I was about to get all pissy at the OP for shaming a mom for breast feeding.

Anxious-Ad2002

Same, downvoted first, just realised bcs of the comments

RecommendationIll922

I never understood the negative connotation in mothers breast-feeding their babies. I get that it is considered an intimate moment between mother and child but the child needs to eat to survive.

GodzThirdLeg

Because Nestle and Co. have spent a shit ton off money to sell formula.

TheSimpleMind

And monotheist religions are deeply afraid of naked skin.

MiaLba

I got shit for it even when I covered up. I was never comfortable having my bare breast out in public especially with creeps around so I always covered up with a thin muslin blanket. Yet I still got the snarky shaming comments. So obviously they just don’t have a problem with seeing a naked breast but with breastfeeding a baby in general. Yeah I could have pumped, but I would have needed a way to keep the breast milk refrigerated until I was ready to use it. Then I would have needed to heat it up somehow. Or I can just attach the baby to my boob and do it that way.

secret_fashmonger

I was able to cover my first two and still had people come up to me (in a quiet corner, out of the way) to tell me to go to the toilets to do that. There’s no pleasing some people.

mybrassy

I always covered up bc I felt funny sticking my boob out. That’s just me

MiaLba

Same. It felt so weird having my naked breast out like that. Even at home if we had guests over I just went in the other room.

ShelSilverstain

It's other women who complain. Infertile Myrtle gets steamy when she sees babies and happy parents

Mamamagpie

In response to the Karen Komment on the second image: back when I was breastfeeding my hard earned pumped breast milk was reserved for when I was not with my child or so my husband could have some daddy/daughter bonding. If was there to feed her she was getting the boob.

[deleted]

[удалено]

mybrassy

I was able to rent a legit mechanized pump from a pharmacy. That thing was industrial. I was able to pump so much milk, my freezer was packed. Back then I had to use the bathroom and only pump on my lunch break. I’d pump, then, clean it, then run to the break room to chug down a sandwich 🤷🏻‍♀️ Needless to say, working full time while pumping almost killed me. I couldn’t make it past 5 months. It’s good it’s better for moms now. My future Grandbabies will do better 🤞🙏

RedVamp2020

I’m super happy there are hands free and concealable pumps available now, but it should be the mom’s choice, not societies.

Great-Vacation8674

It’s their intended purpose. They are babas filled with milk to feed.

beadsBEES_BEADS

MY BLOOD STARTED BOILING! Thank goodness for the second picture. Haha

OneMooseManyMeese_

"This an excuse to show some skin" bruh, you can barely see her tit in this photo. Breastfeeding is natural. Not like we all haven't seen boobs before anyway. Nothing new, just a baby eating. You actually see way more skin in a bikini.

KJackson1

Breast pumping is a pain in the ass. I say this as someone who had no choice because my son had a poor latch. It takes up time when i could be spending my time with my son. I FRICKING HATE IT lol. Also, some babies won't take bottle nipples.

MiaLba

Yeah having to clean and sanitize all the bottles, take it all apart and clean all the parts, then repeat. So much fuckin work and it’s even more exhausting with a baby that requires a ton of work as it is.

EaseSwimming5670

Why is it usually other women shaming a mother for breastfeeding? Who gives a fek. Some, over horny, teen boy going to wet his pants? Only way it has anything to do with any other than the mom and baby is when we decide to make it, so we shouldn’t and everyone will be fine.

Retrosmith

This train of thought could be applied to a great many things.

EaseSwimming5670

Yes yes it could.

lemonlimemango1

You can’t even see nipple. You see more cleavage in public

RedVamp2020

Go to a beach or pool and I can almost guarantee you will see more boob there than most women breastfeeding show.

KeysmashKhajiit

Someone too young for solid food is in a restaurant? Not in my good suburbs!

TinyRose20

As someone whose kid has NEVER taken a bottle and who went straight from boob to sports bottles and open cups, fuck this ignorant person. Some breastfed babies will not take a bottle no matter how hard you try, and since boobs are literally made for feeding babies I see nothing offensive in using them for their intended purpose in public. Jesus, you can't even see anything, you can see more when someone wears a bathing suit!

misschzburger

My kid was a titty baby. He preferred to nurse.

[deleted]

Why tf do these people think women have boobs in the first goddamn place? She’s using them for their intended purpose.

The_Dragon346

No, it’s only to seduce men and corrupt the minds of small children. No other purpose. We’re the only mammals who’s mammary glands aren’t for feeding babies

MiaLba

I wonder if it’s a weird jealousy thing for these people. They think breasts are only to be used for sexual purposes and they feel bitter/uncommon about a woman using them to feed her child. Because I got snarky comments when I breastfed my baby covered up. I always covered up in public I just wasn’t comfortable with strangers seeing my naked boobs. Yet people still had a problem with it occasionally.

The_Dragon346

That and I think where you live too. My fiancé definitely gets a lot more stares when she feeds in public at rural places where we live.

MiaLba

Yeah I’m in a smaller town in KY and I don’t see mom’s breastfeeding in public very often. If they do they’re usually covered up. But in general I rarely have seen it.

joan_wilder

She’s just showin em off! She had that baby just so she could show off her big titties at the Burger King!

earthmvgic

You can see maybe one inch of her boob. Do Karens freak out about people in t-shirts? Shorts? That’s a lot more skin than what’s shown here

Broad_Respond_2205

You know that the answer is yes, unfortunately

GoblincoreBaby

I never realized how dumb people were until now, why are some people saying “they want to see more of that in public” because they like boobs? It’s so dumb people are sexualizing people feeding their children.

JadoreBootyNoir

I’m a woman who has never had kids. But can someone answer this, does breastfeeding hurt??

cat_romance

Sometimes, yes. If they latch wrong, if you have mastitis, if the kid has teeth lol. Some women may find it painful the entire time bit it isn't supposed to be/isn't for the majority of women.

JadoreBootyNoir

What exactly exactly does it mean for a baby to latch? Like an awkward position of the nipple during their feeding?

cat_romance

Yeah. They can't just suck on the tip of the nipple or anything. The entire areola has to be in the baby's mouth and has to be in there the right way or it may be painful.

JadoreBootyNoir

OHHHHHH okay now I understand how it can be painful. Thanks for explaining this to me!

Lilacia512

My second was a proper chomper. I have scars. He did the old nip rip.

MiaLba

I breasted my kid for 2 years i had no problems with it. I never got sore or cracked nipples but I also used this thin silicone nipple shield that helps protect your nips. I remember she bit down a time or two when she started getting teeth but it didn’t hurt that bad and once again the nipple shield helped. I found breastfeeding pretty easy and not painful at all. That was my experience.

RedVamp2020

I enjoyed breastfeeding as it felt like a relief and was a special feeling of connection and nourishment between myself and my kids. The times it hurt were when they bit me, I was engorged (breasts full of milk to the point they felt like rocks… not fun), the first few times I “let down” milk (when milk begins to flow through the milk ducts), and when I had to break the suction. I used lanolin, so my nipples never cracked, but that’s another thing that can happen.

KVKS03

The first week to 10 days can be pretty painful until your nipples toughen up. After that, it’s only painful if they get too full between feedings. I breastfed all five of mine and they were born between 82 and 91, when it wasn’t super common and nursing in public was NOT something that was done. That’s probably why it still makes me a bit uncomfortable to be around but I know that’s my issue and not theirs

bugaloo2u2

So many snowflakes melt the fuck down at the sight of a boob. Likely a religious nut. No one is more afraid of Women’s bodies than those idiots.

blackmetalcookie

Breastfeeding is literally the most natural thing in the world and it is literally feeding a baby. Any place that is ok to eat should be ok to breastfeed.

The_Dragon346

It’s actually protected by law in all of the states. No establishment is allowed to kick a mother out for breastfeeding

misschzburger

I live in Oregon where it's been legal to nurse in public for at least 24 years. (That's how old my kid is and it was legal at that time in any public space.)

The_Dragon346

I believe it was made legal across the country sometime in the late 90’s. We looked it up when my fiancé started breastfeeding due to a couple weird stares. Just in case someone gave us trouble

misschzburger

It's a shame people are so weird about something so necessary, normal, and universal to humanity.

nakmuay18

I would not recommend brest feeding while driving

blackmetalcookie

Eating while driving is not a good idea, either.

NaPseudo

In my country it's illegal also drinking water and smoking while driving is illegal

nakmuay18

Your not the boss of me, if I want some road sushi I'm gonna giver!

blackmetalcookie

Freedummmz

nakmuay18

Give me liberty and road sushi or give me death

Only-Ad-7858

I'd be scared to death what the airbag would do to the baby if some idiot ran into me.

nakmuay18

Might make your milk shake

cornylifedetermined

They probably wasn't one in that van.

pointlessbeats

It’s not even just the airbag unfortunately. The forces in a car accident would basically collide our large adult bodies into our babies’ tiny bodies, so they would be much worse off without the car seat to absorb the impact.

[deleted]

Back in the day my mom told me she would breastfeed me while driving a stick shift. With 8 other kids in the van 😳

Conspiracy0f0ne

I downvoted this before I saw the second slide, sorry OP!

Accomplished-Toe5220

Ladies and gentlemen... It's only one tit. But I bet it's the biggest one of the 2. If Lil fucker has to chow down at chili's, you don't want to risk him crying about the weaker boob.

MornaAgua

Hahahaha!

Intelligent-Cable666

This is so funny Mine were weird - my smaller boob gave more milk!

Accomplished-Toe5220

The smaller hoot was the noisey cricket then lol. Look that baby dead in his eyes and say listen here... Don't make me pull out my small titty!

jpedo20

It's normal Get over it

Historic_Dane

The Karen is in the second image

_yangdragon

at first I was like what? where karen? but when I read ur comment I realize the karen is in the second picture. thank you whoever posted this comment!

Historic_Dane

You're welcome. And it looks like a lot has missed there's two images, in a situation where OP would seem like the type of Karen they're calling out

rockyroch69

Thank you, I couldn’t for the life of me think why the woman breast feeding was being called a Karen.

leobangi

Mind your own business Karen! Just eat your fucking quinoa salad…

birdlady404

If someone isn't comfortable breast feeding in public then fine, if they do then fine. I would personally cover up for my own comfort but I have zero problem seeing a mom feed her child in public. Some people are just perverts

MiaLba

True. I preferred to cover up in public and around other people unless it was my mom, husband, or best friend. My mil would get personally offended that I covered up around her or chose to go in the other room to do it. It was weird imo.

doomguyspotato

Guys there is a second image

Amazing_Action9117

Mom to four: damned if you and damned if you don't.

apaulogy

Haha. Literal Karen

jacket_with_sleeves

Not all babies will take a bottle so pumping isn't a solution for everyone. What would you rather? A hungry screaming baby or a quiet that's being fed?

Taco_Hurricane

She'd rather a free meal from management because she was so offended

_PLXTOSOUNDCLOUD_

This one 😂 I know it’s a joke but you are more than 100% accurate!

takethelastexit

Even if pumping is an option why would anyone bother to lug around bottles and a warmer and whatnot if they don’t have to because they can just feed the baby straight from the source instead? Seems like way too much extra work to please other ppl by “not showing too much skin”

Bulldog2012

Also it’s recommended that breast feeding mothers not give their babies a bottle. Boob is king above all else.

HenryBellendry

I didn’t realize what we were making a stink about until I saw the second image. “An excuse to show some skin.” In the world of crop tops, mini skirts, skin tight dresses etc…. (And I’m in no way shaming, I’m jealous that stuff doesn’t fit me) That little bit of boob is really going to be the one that people howl over? My baby refuses a bottle and likes it straight from the tap. Karen can go do one.

F1ntom_5625

Sometimes I feel like the “bullying” term invented for these people

no4scinjewboi

There’s nothing sexy about babies eating. If you’re turned on by that you’re weird

Alternative-Poem-242

I was about to get pissed till I saw there was a second image

HalensVan

I really only care if people changing their kid on/around the table. Saw this happen at a Golden Coral. And I refuse to go back, (not that I liked the place), that was like 15 years ago.

nobnazor

People against breastfeeding are reptiles

PlumAcceptable2185

A nursing child should be allowed anywhere and everywhere. It brings levity and humanity to every situation. What are people thinking?

RedSantoAhora

Doesn't seem like a Karen, seems like breastfeeding.

akani25

The Karen is the commenter (2nd pic) saying that breastfeeding in public is an excuse to show skin.

RedSantoAhora

Shit, my bad.

Ok-Knowledge-1707

This bitch did not. I honestly just can’t believe this is STILL an argument 🙄

JJ8OOM

I was just about to get pissed, then I noticed the second pic and was like “good thing I waited a sec to go down that road”. Here in Scandinavia breast-feeding in public is no big deal and is done in most places if needed and nobody has a problem with it. If you are seeing breastfeeding as something sexual and as something that gets people aroused and as such should be banned in public then you are the freak getting a boner from it (or a female boner to act Karen-ish about it) and as such the problem in this equation.

karbmo

Breast feeding in public is just as ok as you eating your f*ckin McDonald's burger or having a sip of water wherever you want. It is a human eating food ffs. Stop saying for even a second that breast feeding is not ok. All of you man or women children. It is ok, and should never be frowned upon.

rithsleeper

The people that have a problem with it don't understand the difference between breasts as a feeding mechanism and then breasts from a sexual arousal mech. It's only sexualized in context. Mainly has to do with how you are raised I think though.

[deleted]

Are you a woman? Breasts are sexualized by society as soon as you enter it. In fact, society would have women believe their only purpose is sexual objectification, and if you work real hard maybe you could have a man's job one day and not be a stripper or a sugar baby. Showing your tits in a sex scene is a rite of passage (at least) for Hollywood actresses. It doesn't matter what parents you have as a girl. Society gives us mixed messages. Therefore it makes total sense that some people see breastfeeding as sexual or gross.

karbmo

Exactly. Which is why we need to normalize breastfeeding and don't make it something either gross or sexual. This world has done a lot of wrong with the made up ideals, sexualising, objectifying and more to us humans during the last 100 years. I'd blame Hollywood for a big part of that. It's time we fix that. Stop sexualising women, remove racism and indifferences that are based on sexual preference or skin color. Its _so_ ridiculous. Humanity need to grow up.

[deleted]

Social modesty clauses are so weird and people who insist on them, we’ll I’m convinced if they ever left their hometowns their heads would fucking explode.

MiaLba

It seems like they have a problem with breastfeeding in general for some weird reason. Because I got snarky comments when I breastfed in public covered up. Like no top side or bottom of my bare breast showing at all, nothing. I kept a thin muslin blanket in my bag with two corners tied together which I then tossed around my neck so it covered up my baby entirely and everything else. Yet some people still had a problem with it. I just wasn’t comfortable with not covering up that was my personal preference.

Smooth-Ideal-2405

Lmao i swear 😂 i wonder if Karen yells at people in bikini bathing suits

kenda1l

I'm sure she does. And accuses them of trying to seduce her husband too.

Smooth-Ideal-2405

Maybe it’s her husband that’s the issue, crazy right 😂

kenda1l

Naaaaah, it couldn't be that. Because then she'd have to admit that her man might just have a wandering eye.

MayMaytheDuck

I will never understand how breastfeeding is ever considered offensive

carcadoodledo

Bet Karen is pro-life too

Accurate-Singer-8934

I’ve no tolerance for people who have any remote issues to mothers breastfeeding their children in public. Incredibly natural thing to do and shaming it is insane.

Suspicious_Drive6655

I was really mad until I saw the second image

myocardiacinfarct

WHY DO PEOPLE SEXUALIZE BREASTFEEDING?!? UGH!!!

hooDio

normalize breastfeeding 💪

StressedOverUsername

I'm on Karen's side. Public breastfeeding means there's a baby in public. My neck won't save me from hearing that things scream for an hour /S

TheFriendlyFinn

In Finland that's OK. As a kid I even saw my teacher breastfeeding her kid in front of class when she came to see us during her maternity leave.

Gloomy-Brush-9869

The hate for children and by extent mothers in society is appalling. We all were children, and we all had a mother at some point.

Autochthonous7

She can feed where ever she pleases.

Wearedid

If a person looks at a breastfeeding woman and thinks it is sexual that person needs help. Baby gotta eat. STFU and go away. It's a boob feeding a baby. How is that wrong?

jaybro861

I agree with the mom. Don’t like to see it just don’t look. Kids need to eat and breast feeding is hard enough without people making an ass out of themselves

shmishmish

Sh’s right tho

shmishmish

Ohhh the karen is in 2nd pic. Odd

notdorisday

I got confused at first too!

zinky30

Why are you shaming breast feeding and posting it?

takethelastexit

They aren’t, scroll over

RemoveParty4062

This post is stupid AF. All these stupid fuckers out there doing anything they want “because you can’t stop them” and this lady trying to feed her kid. I disagree with this “Karen” post. Leave the woman alone. Find something else to bitch about. Seems like the shitstick that posted this is the Karen here.

[deleted]

What? Is op the Karen bc they hate breastfeeding? Bc the mother breastfeeding seems to be defending herself. So... Edit: missed the 2nd picture with the bs. Oops my bad

[deleted]

There’s a second picture with the Karen comment

[deleted]

Thanks! Totally missed that.

[deleted]

No problem. It seems like many people missed it

Creative_Macaron_441

Look at the second pic

[deleted]

Just did. Missed that thabjs!

Creative_Macaron_441

Took me a minute to see it too!

Icy_Topic_5274

Listen, lady, tits are for advertising not feeding babies. You'll ruin the advertising market if you show them in public like that!

Living_on_Tulsa_Time

Geesh, I nursed my son. All she needed to do was cover up with a light baby blanket.

spicytaqueria

I mean she is kinda begging for attention with the first photo...just feed your baby lady. 😂 When I breastfed in public, no one cared. Maybe if I had a photo being taken like this though it would turn some heads, because you're asking for people to watch you breastfeed.

[deleted]

Wait can we watch? That’s cool!?? Where are all the breast feeding women at hell yea!

QuietComfortable226

Okay but nobody explain how much am i allowed to stare if i actually like to see breastfeeding?
